Sonic and the Sovereigns of the Emerald Act 7-8

Project Overview

The Sovereigns of the Emeralds have awaken. Their power ready to be claimed as they await their champion. Maleficent and the evil Night Ravens have their eyes set on it. If they win, they will drain the sun and bring about the Eternal Night. Knowing the danger, the forces of Mickey Mouse, Sonic the Hedgehog, his best friend Tails the Fox, Silver the Hedgehog who barley made it out alive from a dark future, and the inter dimensional Princess Blaze the Cat set out to collect the emeralds, stop the Night Ravens, and fulfill their destiny in a journey of self-discovery.

The adventure continues with acts 7-8. The prelude to the ultimate conclusion of this Disney X Sonic epic is upon us. Acts 7-8 feature more expansive worlds, stronger emotional moments, high octane battles, and of course. New heroes and villain joining the fray. And of course, these new additions need voices. Which is where you all come in!

Returning to the world of audio dramas by combining two of my greatest hyper fixations into one epic story. It means a lot that you have checked this out as this project is very dear to me. Now before we begin, they are a few rules.

1. YOU MUST HAVE GOOD MIC QUALITY with LITTLE TO NO background noise.

2. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR DISCORD IN YOUR DESCRIPTION, AS THAT WILL BE OUR PRIMARY METHOD OF COMMUNICATION

3. In terms of takes, the maximum amount is 2. While improve is encouraged, be sure to read only the audition lines if you want to be considered for the part!

4. This project is a long term commitment. If casted, PLEASE BE TRANSPARENT about scheduling and deadlines in order for the project to run smoothly.

5. Unlike my previous project, this one is more PG/PG-13. Swearing has been minimized to traditional "Damns" and "hell" and whatnot.

6. While some of the characters do have pre-established voices, THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO DO AN IMPRESSION. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO INTERPRET THESE ROLES TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY. We care more about ACTING than pitch perfect voice matching. If you can manage both, that's awesome! But we are mainly focused on performance.

The Sovereign of Rebirth. Tiana. An entrepreneur, chef, and bayou expert who so happens to be friends with Tangle and Whisper. She helps Sonic navigate the enchanted swamp to help find the green chaos emerald, but little does she know this journey is going to take a much dramatic turn when her old enemy is involved.

Personality: Tiana is an intelligent, resourceful, and highly talented young woman, though she can be overly uptight and far too absorbed in work ethics to focus on relaxing, family, and friends. With a strong sense of honor and integrity, Tiana firmly believes nothing deserves to be obtained in the world unless it's done through hard work. She is a workaholic, but she has a passionate, imaginative, and ambitious side to her.

Voice Direction: Tiana has a medium-ish refined yet headstrong voice with a southern-cajun drawl. Preferably looking for a POC voice actress to bring her to life.

Personality: Rapunzel is a spirited and determined young woman. Incredibly resourceful, naive, and willing to step outside her comfort zone.  Despite being fearful and at times hesitant, Rapunzel pushes herself forward to pursue her ambitions. Rapunzel even later manages to overcome her fears with her friends' help, becoming more outgoing and adventurous. She has too a heart of gold

The two of us…we complemented each other like the sun and moon…which in retrospect is ironic. While I was born with the tenderness of the Sundrop Flower…Cassandra stole the Moonstone Opal. For years she felt like she was being denied any love or recognition…that neglect drove her heart to a dark place…I’ve fished her out of there once before…I thought I could do it again…but…but…sniff…it was no use.

  • (Joking, proud of herself) You can do a lot with a little. Being locked away in a tower for 18 years forces you to improvise.

First found in the bayou. Kermit tags along with Blaze the Cat and then ends up joining the group in their fight against Maleficent. With his humor, boundless optimism, and sense of humor, Kermit will bring a sense of comedy to the group.

Personality: Kermit is a laid back, down to earth frog. He finds the humor in even the most tragic of places and is always there whenever someone needs a quick pick-me-up. He may not know the full extent of what's going on, but he's going to give it his all.

Voice direction: Do I even need to describe it? Feel free to use Jim Henson, Steve Whitmire, or Matt Vogel's take on Kermit.

Luz is a very excitable young adult. With a high fascination for all things fantasy and a knack for adventure, Luz is very outgoing and willing to hop into anything thrown her way. She sometimes has trouble looking before she leaps, but always manages to somehow land on her feet. She cares deeply for people and her determination to protect them is what drives her to her goals. Luz is shown to have a sense of responsibility, as she freely acknowledges that she is responsible for her own actions to the point where she will blame herself for something she has caused, even when it is not really her fault.

Voice Direction: Luz has a mid-highish voice that carries a sense of excitement and curiosity. She has an energetic, dorky, and playful voice. Something that fits her fearless and scrappy nature.

Merlin is an old wizard that has trained many great kings and mages under his wing. A powerful sorcerer with magic beyond anything most witches and wizards can hope to dream of. He uses his abilities to aid Mickey and Yen Sid in their crusade against Maleficent.

Personality: He is a very wise character who believes in the philosophy of "Brain over Brawn". To this end, Merlin values education as opposed to the war-training philosophies shared by much of the rest of society. He also warns Arthur not to believe that magic will solve every problem. Despite his wisdom, he can be absentminded and forgetful, as well as clumsy, with his long beard often getting tangled up in whatever he might be doing.

Voice Direction: Looking for an old, bubbly, and wise voice for Merlin.

A deadly weapon if used by the wrong sort. So the Dark Kingdom was created in hopes to guard it from the forces that seek to take the opal. However, its power ravaged the very kingdom that tried to protect it. Leaving it an uninhabitable wasteland. See all those black rocks? You can thank the opal for that.

Mickey and Donald's best friend has finally joined the adventure. After literally crashing into the action, he sets out to help team Sonic on their quest to recover the chaos emeralds. While he may not know the full scope of what's at stake. He's going to try his best to help, even if he trips in the process.

Personality: Clumsy, unintelligent, and humble are some of the words that describe Goofy. Living a rather simple lifestyle, Goofy tends to miss the obvious, act somewhat childish and absent-minded, and gets confused very easily. As a result of these factors, Goofy is rather accident-prone and is an easy target for trouble. Nevertheless, his blissfulness usually keeps him from any legitimate harm, as he tends to walk away from life-threatening danger with a smile and his signature guffaw.


Voice Direction: Goofy has  a guttural, thick-throated, and cheerful drawl with a slow, gentle cadence. Looking for something close to his signature voice.

Personality: Scourge is a charismatic, cocky, mean and green hedgehog. He's a speedster with attitude and more of an edge than Sonic. Willing to do whatever it takes to get his way. He has a huge ego, he is super arrogant, and overly self-confident to the point where it blindsights him. Scourge also has fourth wall awareness.

Voice Direction: Scourge's voice is up to interpretation. But I always saw him as a rougher Sonic with more attitude. He should have a New Jersey/Boston accent. A mid range voice that oozes cockiness and charisma. He is a bad boy and he knows it.

Miklos is a character from a forgotten string of comics. He is the doppelganger of Mickey Mouse and has always been envious of his fame and notoriety. Miklos teams up with Scourge to defeat his rival and take his place, and maybe earn some dough by doing it.

Personality: Miklos is everything Mickey is not. He is deceptive and manipulative, taking advantage of looking like Mickey to take Mickey's house, friends, etc. He is a master of deception, even managing to trick Mickey himself that he was a fraud. A dangerous and cunning mouse with only short term gains and jealousy on his mind.


Voice Direction: The best way I can describe his voice is that of a more evil and sleazy Mickey Mouse

Merlina serves as one of the villains revived by the Horned King to stop Sonic and his friends. Due to his manipulation, Merlina has no recollection of the ending of Sonic and the Black Knight. The Horned King altered her memories and rewired her brain to the point after she became the Dark Queen.

Personality:

After learning of her world's grim fate, Merlina's love was shattered and turned into an indescribable, one-sided sadness and sorrow. This gave her a nihilistic perspective on life. Merlina became solely committed to making her kingdom eternal and preserve its beauty. However, she let her intentions corrupt her, turning her into a well-intentioned extremist.

Erazor Djinn was resurrected by the Horned King in order to serve him. At first, Erazor Djinn tried to fight back. But a genie knows it's futile to go against your master wish. So he begrudgingly serves the Horned King. At least it gives him a chance to get his revenge on the one who trapped him inside of the lamp.

Personality: Erazor Djinn is depicted as a selfish, power-hungry despot who despises humanity. He is an arrogant and unrepentant individual with a tendency to be hammy and melodramatic. Erazor also takes smug pleasure in mocking others, as shown when he constantly calls Sonic a rat, despite the hedgehog correcting him every time.

The shapeshifting octopus returns to serve the Horned King. Upon resurrection, Mimic was confused and lost. He doesn't know the full extent of the Horned King and Maleficent's plan. But if it involves getting revenge on Sonic (and getting paid in the process), who is he to question it?

Personality: Known to have always sought prestige and riches, Mimic—in keeping with his shapeshifting abilities—was an ominous, sinister, manipulative, remorseless, cunning and violent sociopath with scant regard for anyone other than himself. He did not believe in higher ideals, claiming that heroes become martyrs while professionals stay alive. He was also highly untruthful and treacherous, delighting in deceiving others and betraying whoever he was aligned with if it suited his purposes.

Voice Direction: Mimic's voice is up for interpretation. He should have a cunning, smooth, and gravely voice.

Black Doom is brought back by the Horned King to face off against Shadow. After doing that, the alien warlord plans to double cross him...which Maleficent soon figured out. Let's just say that Black Doom won't be backstabbing his new teammates anytime soon.

Personality: Black Doom is a highly ruthless, sadistic, evil, manipulative and power-hungry tyrant. He regards humans as lesser beings that will lead themselves to their own extinction and always looks down on them and their technology. He has neither affection nor sympathy for anybody or anything, especially his enemies. He is sadistic, manipulative, and power hungry.
