Hello everyone, I would like to say that I have reopened this project for auditions, considering the person I had for tails has decided to leave the project. Best of luck to anyone who decides to audition!
Sonic Adventure 2: Redubbed (SA2 Fandub)
Project Overview
Hello all, today I bring you a casting call for my most recent project, Sonic Adventure 2: Redubbed. Sonic Adventure 2: Redubbed is a fan redubbing of the Sonic The Hedgehog franchises Sonic Adventure 2. The purpose of this redub is to closer match the Japanese script, and bring hopefully better and closer direction to the cutscenes and story of the game, as the official English release strays from the original intentions a bit and possesses questionable direction and acting.
Most of this project will be recorded with live recording sessions, so you must be ok with this before auditioning.
Must Have:
A Discord account
A good quality mic. it doesn't have to spectacular quality or anything like that, just clear.
This project will probably not come out for awhile, as of the time of making this casting call I have a lot on my plate. the recordings will all probably happen soon after this casting call but the editing will probably not start until later.
This Project is unpaid.
this project also aims to redo all of the SA2 cutscenes, Hero, Dark, and Last stories and all.

Hey sorry for not updating this project for so long, its actually been going fine, as recording has started. "Tails is a gentle-hearted, sweet-natured and loyal fox with a positive attitude. In the beginning, he was timid and quiet, but he has opened up and become more outgoing over the years. Tails is not one to grab the spotlight for himself and instead, is always ready and willing to help others without asking for anything in return.
Tails has a distinct love for mechanics and he finds himself most at home in his workshop working on his next creation. Despite his great skills, Tails is very humble about his abilities, never giving them many thoughts, though he has yet to discover his true potential of what he can accomplish.
A turning point for Tails came in Sonic Adventure; when Station Square was in danger of being destroyed, Tails was the only one who could stop this. With Sonic nowhere to be found, Tails realized that he could not depend on Sonic forever and had to try on his own. After saving Station Square, Tails realized he could be independent and support himself without Sonic, and all he needed was determination and faith. Since then, Tails has become more independent, self-confident, motivated and brave, as well as rising up to be a real hero when needed."

After hearing about the arrest of his best friend sonic, Tails finds out where he's being held and attempts to break him out of the prison he's held in, finding Amy Rose who has the same goal, and have a brief scuffle with Eggman along the way.
Vocally, i'd like Tails to sound like Ryō Hirohashi's depiction of the character. not an impression or anything, this is just a guideline.
out of the following lines, I want you to read only Tails'. the following lines are taken from a transcript of SA2, which I also got from the Sonic Wikia.
"[11:56 Prison Island: Nearby airspace - Tails is seen flying over the sea in his Tornado.]
Tails: There's no mistake about it, this must be the island. It's a secret military base that is reinforced and super strong! It's called Prison Island. I heard the news about it on satellite TV. I still can't believe that Sonic would destroy the military buildings or rob the bank! Wait for me, OK Sonic! I'm on my way! [Looks down and spots Amy being chased by Eggman] What? Hey, look it's Amy! And Eggman too! What's Amy doing here? Doesn't matter. I have to help Amy because she's in danger! Tornado...Transformation!
[The Tornado transforms into a walker machine.]"[Inside Space Colony ARK - Cannon countdown: 2 hours 11 minutes]
Sonic: What's up with that knucklehead anyway! Trying to take over the shuttle! I thought we were toast for sure! [Looks around to find Knuckles isn't there] Huh? Where did he go now?
Tails: Looks like he bailed!
Amy: This place looks deserted! Dusty too!
Tails: This place was shut down about 50 years ago because of a terrible accident. The first Bernoulli spherical space colony called, ARK. When it was operational, it was the most advanced research center of it's kind, but looking at it now..
Amy: Now it's an abandoned ARK, wouldn't you say?
Sonic: There's not much time left before Eggman fires that weapon again... We've got to hurry! Let's find the cannon and destroy it!
Tails: Yeah! [Typing on his computer in his Tornado] Someone designed that weapon to be inpenetrable from outside attacks. [Shows a diagram of the ARK] Its defense system are super strong so we have to find a way to destroy it from the inside!
Amy: [Looking at a Chaos Emerald] Isn't that a Chaos Emerald?
Tails: It looks like it doesn't it? But in fact, it's a fake one that I created after researching the real Emerald! It has the same wavelength and properties but is less powerful than the real one. It's designed to reverse the energy field inside the Chaos Emeralds and blow up! It looks so real, even a machine can't tell the difference! I'll find the power supply and destroy it! Sonic, you find the control room, OK? [Gives Sonic the fake Chaos Emerald]
Sonic: So the plan is, we'll switch the Chaos Emeralds when the machine is stopped, right?""[Sonic enters the room with Eggman, Tails, and Amy in it]
Eggman: [Pointing his gun toward Amy] Let's take care of business first, shall we Sonic? Hand over the Chaos Emerald, slowly, and then we will talk about your girlfriend! That is if you really care for her...
Sonic: [Whispering to himself while holding the fake Chaos Emerald] Handing over the fake Emerald, I can kill two birds with one stone.
[Tails looks over at Sonic and gives him a nod]
Eggman: Put the Emerald down right there and BACK OFF!
Sonic: [Smirking and starts to walk toward Eggman] You've turned into a big time villain, doctor!
[Eggman chuckles and suddenly traps Sonic in a glass pod]
Eggman: You thought you could trick me with that fake Emerald, didn't you?
Tails: So...how did you know it wasn't the real one?
Sonic: Tails!
Eggman: Because you just told me, fox boy!
[Tails looks dumbfounded as he just gave away their plan]
Eggman: Now, for a little space ride! The capsule clears the colony, BAM!
Sonic: I'm counting on you Tails! And Amy, take care of yourself!
Eggman: Farewell! Sonic the Hedgehog!
[A massive explosion is then seen]
Eggman: Farewell Sonic... My admirable adversary!
Amy: SONIC! [cries]
Eggman: Now we have some unfinished business to take care of! If you give me the real Emerald, I will release you both. You have my promise!
Tails: Sonic... Sonic has asked me for the first time to do something for him. I won't let him down. I won't give up!"

“Rouge is a strong-minded young woman. A fearless, ambitious, independent, flirtatious, greedy, calculating narcissist who most people see as only caring for herself and gems. It is shown in Sonic Generations that Rouge can be referred to a temptress, due to her seductive ways. Her carefree and playful attitude can be fun to some characters, like the easygoing Sonic, or annoying for others, like the gruff Knuckles. She has a lot of pride and will fight dirty when facing a formidable opponent, such as Knuckles (when it comes to strength; hindering his sight in a dark tent). She can also show a bashful side, such as the time Knuckles saved her life from falling to her doom and became very embarrassed before concealing it with disgust, outrage, and ingratitude. She can also be a bit of a hypocrite, especially in regards to thefts. This is especially evident when, after witnessing the Master Emerald being stolen, she refers to the one stealing it as a thief despite the fact that she herself had stolen it from Knuckles earlier, something the echidna even noted by saying "Look who's calling who a thief", and in Grand Metropolis stage when she calls robots energy thieves.
Rouge is also at times a government spy who often works for her own gain. Rouge has a great obsession for jewels or even anything else that shines or glitters. She also has little to no qualms about lying and manipulating others, often using her charms and attractiveness to seduce and take advantage of others, just to get what she wants (such as kissing Tails in Sonic Battle). However, she has, on many occasions, shown she can be heroic, possess loyalty, care about others, or, at least, have some degree of morality. In the final events of Sonic Adventure 2, she helped save the planet from destruction.”

Rouge The Bat, being a jewel thief, was after the biggest jewel of them all, the Master Emerald. While getting into a confrontation with the Emeralds Guardian, Knuckles The Echidna, the notorious Doctor Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik tried to swoop in and steal it while both of them are distracted. Knowing the emerald can be resembled, knuckles leaps into the air, shattering the emerald into pieces, scattering across the planet. While Rouge and Knuckles are arguing about this act, Eggman gets away, leaving Rouge and Knuckles to both look for the pieces of the master emerald. Along the way, Rouge Follows Dr. Eggman onto a space colony, called “ARK.” on the ARK a black hedgehog called “Shadow” was informing the Dr. that There is a laser cannon on the ARK, that will emit immense power once all 7 Chaos Emeralds were inserted into it. Rouge, making her presence known, offers her help to Dr. Eggman and Shadow on finding the chaos emeralds for this cannon, which they accept. What they don’t know though, is that Rouge is a Spy for hire, sent to spy on Dr. Eggman for the president of the united states.
Vocally, I'd like Rouge to sound like Kathleen Delaney, or Rumi Ochiai's depiction of the character. I'm not looking for an impression or anything, this is just a guideline for how id want her to sound.

"[In the desert, Knuckles and Rouge are arguing by the Master Emerald.]
Rouge: Just... let it go! You just don't know when to give up, do you?Knuckles: What're you talkin' about, that Emerald's mine! You got that? The Master Emerald contains special powers that neutralize the energy of the Chaos Emeralds; that makes it very powerful -- What the?!
[Eggman flies down and uses a crane attached under his machine to grab the Master Emerald, and pull it up.]
Rouge: Wha -- thief!!Knuckles: Look who's calling who a thief.
Eggman: I came here following the signal from the Emerald. If I'm not mistaken, this is the Master Emerald, is it not?
Knuckles: It's you... Doctor Eggman...
Rouge: So that's Doctor Eggman.
Eggman: Well, I guess I can use it for something. I'll just take it with me. Farewell, Knucklehead.
Knuckles: Not if I can help it!
[Knuckles jumps up to the Master Emerald and punches it, shattering it into dozens of shards.]
Rouge: Aaaaaaaaaah!!
[Rouge pauses for a moment, in a daze, then starts strangling Knuckles.]
Rouge: What was that all about?! And look what you did to my Emerald!Knuckles: I did that to prevent it from being stolen, you idiot! If it's in pieces, I can restore it. And by the way, that's not YOUR Emerald.
Eggman: [Scratching his head] Hmm... doesn't matter. I'll look into it once I get back to the base. [floats off]
Rouge: I despise anyone who takes jewels from me. All the world's gems are mine to keep!
Knuckles: Yeah, well we'll see about that, bat girl!""[Eggman is hitting the terminal for the Cannon in frustration.]
Rouge: Why are you so upset? Well that was really impressive. You managed to create complete havoc on the whole planet! Does this now mean we control the planet and can do as we choose?Shadow: At this rate, the cannon will take too much time to charge up. If you want to unleash its full potential, you'll need all seven Chaos Emeralds.
Eggman: Where in the world have you been?!
Rouge: Something happened? *looks at Shadow*
Shadow: Our threats fell on deaf ears.
Rouge: [To Eggman] Look at you, throwing a tantrum like a little kid. How totally embarrassing.
Eggman: Don't forget your end of the bargain, Bat-girl! What about that last Chaos Emerald?! We had a deal, right?! So where is my Emerald?
[Rouge holds out a newspaper to Eggman.]
Rouge: Here you go. I found this!Eggman: Why didn't you show me this before?! What's this...? "Station Square saved from a life-threatening missile attack. The city has awarded its famed prize to the boy who saved Station Square... Miles 'Tails' Prower was given the Chaos Emerald as a testament of his heroic deed at a ceremony held at city Hall." *clears throat* This makes things a whole lot easier. Hurry, go back and find them fast! I want that Chaos Emerald!!
Rouge: [To Shadow] Did you get that?
Shadow: [To himself, but out loud] Soon enough... Maria...
[Rouge looks a little surprised, and also confused as Shadow walks to the exit. She begins talking into her radio.]
Rouge: This is Rouge reporting. Currently, I have not been able to confirm if Shadow is the Ultimate Life Form or not. I will continue my research on Project Shadow, and have a follow-up report very shortly. Just a reminder... don't forget about my, jewels.
[She turns off the radio, and looks at the camera.]"
""Fly In The Freedom" is playing, as Rouge walks up to the Emeralds.]
Rouge: Legend has it, whenever the seven Chaos Emeralds are collected, the power creates a miracle. I have six of them, they're mine! All mine!Shadow: I don't think so.
Rouge: Shadow?
Shadow: So that was your plan from the very beginning, huh? Or was it a direct order from the president? Now I know who you are! You're that government spy, Rouge the Bat, aren't you?
Rouge: So you did your homework, is that it? I would say that's an invasion of privacy.
Shadow: I could say the same thing about you.
Rouge: Hmm... looks like things aren't quite going the way I planned. But since my job is done, I thought it was time to take what's mine and get out of this place.
Shadow: You are one pathetic creature!
Rouge: Hmm, look who's talking? What about you?
["Fly In The Freedom" stops, and Rouge jumps down, holding a paper.]
Rouge: Here are the results from the research project called the "Ultimate Life Form".
[A picture of the Biolizard is on the paper.]
Rouge: But... if this picture is of the real Ultimate Life Form ["Throw It All Away" starts playing] named Shadow, then exactly who, or what, is standing in front of me?
[Eggman contacts Shadow on the radio.]
Eggman (radio): This is Doctor Eggman. I have found all seven Chaos Emeralds! Shadow, someone is trying to get to the Eclipse Cannon. There's not much time left before the cannon fires again! Can you get over there?!Shadow: [To Rouge] If you want to live, leave the Chaos Emeralds where they are; the fake Emerald is good enough for you!
Rouge: Do you actually believe that... you're the real Shadow?
Shadow: No doubt.
Rouge: Even your memories might not be real, you know?
Shadow: Even if my memories are not real, it's still me; Shadow. And I will fulfill my promise to Maria. That's the only thing that matters to me now."

“Somewhat kind and girly, Amy is presented as an over-enthusiastic, but good natured hedgehog girl with a preference for cute things, sweets, and shopping.[14] In Sonic the Hedgehog CD, she was referred to as an "optimistic tomboy" who loves fortunes and uses tarot cards. Because of her tomboyish nature, she became a playable character as a fighter in Sonic the Fighters. However, after Sonic Adventure, Amy had grown a more feminine personality, such as an interest in shopping and fashion, but that did not remove her tomboyish nature. However, in the later games, she has the personality of a girly-girl more so than a tomboy, unlike the earlier games. In the more recent games, Amy has become a bit more obsessive and far more aggressive, much to Sonic's dismay. She often shows her anger by pulling her Piko Piko Hammer out of Hammerspace, sometimes threatening Sonic with it. That being said Amy is rather temperamental, bossy, overbearing, and stubborn, much to the annoyance of a few characters.
In Sonic Battle, her attraction towards "Boxercise" plays to both elements of her ever-changing personality: the exercise helping her lose weight to maintain her girlish figure, and the boxing to help her train when she's forced to fight. In Sonic Battle, she had shown a very powerful and aggressive attitude, willing to fight whenever necessary.
Despite her aggressive tendencies, Amy has a kind heart, never gives up, and is one of the most optimistic and cheerful characters. Amy is always full of hope and is always cheering on for the good side of things. She almost never seems to find anything hopeless, as shown in Sonic Adventure, where she was determined to help the bird who had lost its family.”

["My Sweet Passion" starts playing, as Amy runs up to Shadow and hugs him mistaking him for Sonic.]
Amy: Oh, Sonic! I thought I'd never see you again! I'm so glad you made it!
[He turns around, and she backs up.]
Amy: ...You're not Sonic, who are you?!
[Eggman also turns around and points a gun at Amy.]
Eggman: I'm the one who should be asking that question!
Amy: Doctor Eggman?! AAHH!! (runs)
Eggman: Gah, Amy, your timing is impeccable! [to Shadow & Rouge] Listen to me; I'll take care of her, you two go on ahead!
[He walks over to Amy, and she stops at a dead end at the edge of the ship.]""[Amy arrives at Sonic's cell.]
Sonic: [Pacing around in his cell and notices Amy] Huh, Amy?
Amy: Shhh! Keep your voice down! Have no fear, Amy Rose is here!
Sonic: How did you get here?
Amy: [Holding a card] Well, if you gotta know...I caught a ride with Tails! Are you sure you don't need my help? It looks like you could use it.
Sonic: The reason I'm in here is because of that fake hedgehog!
Amy: You mean that black hedgehog?
Sonic: Did you see it? Where is it now?
Amy: If I tell you, will you marry me?
Sonic: No way!!
Amy: I thought I had you this time! [Slides the card and unlocks Sonic's cell; Sonic walks out] That black hedgehog came here with Dr. Eggman.
Sonic: So, Eggman's behind this. huh?
Amy: [Walking around] What's all that writing on the wall anyway? Did you write that? [Turns around and sees that Sonic is gone] Wait for me Sonic! He's such a brat sometimes!""Amy is pacing back and forth outside the RF.]
Amy: Ooh, I hate it when they leave me behind! *notices Shadow inside* Look! It's Shadow! *pauses* I've really gotta stop whining. Everyone's trying their best to help out, and so must I! *runs to him* Shadow, we need you! Please help us!
Shadow: It's all going according to plan. There's no reason for me to help them. Besides, there's no way to save anyone.
Amy: There has to be! I know that people fight over the most trivial things. Some people may be selfish, like the professor said... but they're basically good, if they try their best and never give up on their wishes. They always have a reason to be happy; that's why you should help them out! Saving them is a good thing! Shadow, I beg you, please do it for them! Give them a chance!
["Throw It All Away" plays as Shadow has a flashback of Maria.]
Maria: Shadow... I beg of you... please, do it for me... for a better future...
Shadow: Maria!
Maria: for all the people who live on that planet... give them a chance to be happy. Let them live for their dreams. Shadow, I know you can do it. That's the reason that you were brought into this world. Sayonara, Shadow, the Hedgehog.
Shadow: That's what I've promised her... I must keep that promise... That's what Maria wished for...
[A tear drips down Shadow's face.]

She was likewise a very kind, caring and thoughtful soul who always put others before herself, supported her friends, and held an unconditional love for the people of the world, even showing compassion towards her enemies when they were distressed. Because she never got down to Earth, Maria was very interested in the planet and wished to see it. She was as well very encouraging as she could make others accept themselves and calm others down when in stressful situations, including Shadow.
Always gentle and thinking about others before herself, Maria was one who found it easier than most to forgive and forget, not to mention trust. Even after GUN violently raided the ARK and shot her down, Maria did not hold any ill will against the people on earth and only wished for them to live happy lives. She was also utterly selfless as she sacrificed her life for Shadow's sake, having faith he would carry on her dreams for her.”

Maria Robotnik was diagnosed with a terminal illness at a young age. Lived aboard the ARK, a Space Colony, Built by her great uncle, most of her life. Because of this, her great uncle, Gerald Robotnik, a super scientist, attempted to create the ultimate life form to possibly cure her. This eventually succeeded, creating a hedgehog named Shadow, who grew to become great friends with Maria, before she was killed by a government branch, who were raiding the ARK because of numerous secret and illegal projects Gerald created. Shadow was then sealed away in a secret government facility after this event for 50 years.
Vocally I don't have a preference for how Maria sounds, as long as she sounds like a little girl.
