Snowblind
Project Overview
SNOWBLIND is a first-person, story-driven psychological thriller set during a record blizzard in December 1978. You play a lonely county snowplow operator keeping a mountain pass open, with only a voice on the CB radio for company. As the storm gets worse, strange things start happening on the mountain, and he's no longer sure who he can trust, including himself.
Think Firewatch meets The Shining: grounded, quiet, character-driven, with slow-building dread rather than jump scares. Nearly all of the story is told through voice: radio conversations, muttered thoughts, and reactions.

HOW TO AUDITION
Read all three audition lines for the role, with a short pause between each. Feel free to give one alternate read of your favorite line. Dry audio only, please.
Why audition? It's an original story with a voice-driven, emotional lead and a scene-stealing supporting role, and a chance to be part of an indie game from the very beginning.
LEAD ROLE. A county snowplow operator in his mid-30s, working alone on a remote mountain pass during a record blizzard in 1978. Recently sober, carrying guilt from his past, quietly lonely. Plainspoken, tired, dry humor; mutters to himself while working. Grounded, natural acting — no "announcer" voice. General American or light rural accent.
Story-driven first-person game (think Firewatch). Most lines are CB radio conversations and quiet reactions.
- ~600–1,000 lines (character name TBD)
- Est. 4–6 hrs recording, 2–3 remote sessions (first session ~1.5–2 hrs, rest later in 2027) + 1 round of pickups
- Deliver as separate dry WAV files, 48 kHz / 24-bit, no effects
- Paid, flat rate, with full buyout rights (game, trailers, social media)

Come on, old girl… don't quit on me now.
Somebody was out here last night. I'm not crazy, I saw the headlights.
Ninety days. Ninety days counting.
