Project Overview
Hello and welcome to VelvetVoices Fan dubs!
Thank you for showing interest, this project is a passion project made by me and ChowieYaoi, who is also our artist!
Please understand that this is an Unpaid project and for passion. As well as all these videos will be going on our YouTube Channel.
Some of these lines include cursing at times.
By reading the above, you agree to these terms when sending an audition.
1. You must have Discord and state your Discord in your audition, NO EXCUSES
2. Good, clear audio quality is preferred. If you're beginning voice acting or have been doing so, don't be afraid to audition! All are welcome.
3. No Slates in auditions, 2 takes per line is preferred, but it's not required. If you'd like to include it, address it in notes. (Slate's is a self-introduction before lines)
4 . All auditions will be official at the end of the deadline; there will be no “early casting” to give a fair chance! Auditions will go through 3 people: ChowieYaoi, Ari, and Ze4odarkVA

His stage name is Rex, as he wants to disconnect himself from his past, as he also wishes to sound more "edgy". Rex is a 23-year-old young adult. His relationship with his father is pretty rocky, and his sister is the only exception. He's antisocial and tries his best to only communicate within his group. He has whatever energy; he's extremely laid back and rarely cares about what's happening. He's bisexual and asexual. He is Puerto Rican, but Spanish is not needed with auditions. If you speak Spanish, that would be great!

Layla Walker is Lake's younger sister; she's a 15-year-old.
She was pretty young when her mother passed away, but she remembers only the smallest memories. Her father struggles to raise her as she would often try to defy him, just as many girls do. She is a social butterfly around anyone she knows. She is the popular girl at the high school, but she isn't your classic mean girl. She is Puerto Rican.
She is extremely sentimental, and she's always parenting her brother
She is trying to break out of that cool girl shell and become her person.
She is empathic and always tries to see things from others' points of view.

Ryan is a gentle father trying his best to parent a troublesome young adult and a young teen who refuses to let him in, and he feels defeated and overstressed. He's 47 years old, and Puerto Rican. His wife died when Layla was barely born, so their relationship was rocky and awkward growing up.
He is quietly stoic
He is emotionally repressed as he never really let himself fully grieve once his wife died. He always has good intentions, but has bad communication when it comes to it.
Will do anything for his kids, even when they push him away
Hates asking for help, believes he has to fix things himself.
Tone: Adult male who can have a fatherly tone but keep that rough parent undertone. He is a tired father trying his best. Vocal range: bass to tenor.

Lex is transgender; he transitioned from female to male. He's a young British adult male; he is 22 years old. He becomes Rex's love interest further into the story. Music is Lex’s real language. Piano, keyboard, even composing — it’s the one place he feels safe being emotional.
Sassy, thoughtful, and socially cautious. He's rude when needed. Loyal but reserved
Analytical and Introverted but not quiet.

Talking style: Clean lines, neutral tones, always “put together”. Adult female with a motherly tone but distant. Around the alto to soprano voice type.
