SIGMA is a Work-in-progress AMV (Animated Music Video) Series set in the world of Steven Universe! A project made up of four episodes to music tracks that tell a story through the lyrics and use the instrumentals as part of the surrounding sounds!
For now this project page is being used as the main way to apply for a voice acting role within the cast of original characters.
As a word of forewarning this project is one made without profit so applying here is volunteering work. Also as the episodes are backed by songs the voice actors will mainly be doing voice work for things like skits, animated shorts and promotions.
However this DOES mean VA work for SIGMA will be fairly casual, this makes it a good opportunity for new/inexperienced VA or ones that just want to brush up with a new side project that won't frequently take up their time!
At the moment I'm looking for FOUR voice actors to be cast as the following characters;
Rose Quartz
Ruby
Citrine
Picture Jasper
More Characters may be added to the casting pool on later dates so keep your eye out for any roles you think you might like to play!
Rose is a rebel quartz soldier during the gem rebellion. She's the normal rank in the rebel army, but she is seen as a figurehead among her friends and takes an unofficial leadership role as the others look up to her.
She is kind and caring, is often eager to help others with their personal problems and cares about looking good, both in style and as an icon
Speaking style; a 'fashionable' sounding Rose Quartz, Fashion queen, Soft
(Inspiring) "Let's go gems!"
(Endearing) "Oh Ruby... You need to value yourself more"
(Excited) *Gasp* "Really?? What happened next?"
Ruby is the shortest of the rebel cast but comes in a fiery package, Their nickname is inspired by the tuft of hair sticking from their head like a candlewick. They are naturally competitive however are sweet towards their friends, often trying to pick up new things but tending to take a few times to get it right.
Ruby looks up to Rose as their personal idol after she taught them to value themselves more and now hopes they'll be able to live confidently like she does
Speaking style; Ruby sounds fairly like the regular rubies seen in the show.
(Worried) "Rose! Wait for me!"
(Emotional) *Sniff* "That's okay, I'm fine. Don't worry."
(Hopeful) C'mon guys! We can win! I know we can!"
Citrine is a caring and quiet type, a gentle giant of a quartz soldier, she often only speak with short sentences when needing to voice her thoughts, it takes her friends getting rowdy to inspire her voice to be raised as she will only usually be heard speaking at a normal volume and a fairly neutral tone of voice. one of the times she does get talkative is to herself when muddling over a puzzle or problem, however she mostly does that in murmurs
She's not shy to act though and defends her friends when they need her help, both verbally and physically.
Speaking style; Quartz soldier with a neutral and steady tone of voice
(Nervous) "Whoa there, easy cowboy"
(Commanding) "Let's move! Everyone, GO!"
(Thoughtful) "Hmmm... What if me and ruby.. No. That won't work."
Picture Jasper has a small leadership position in the rebel army, leading a handful of gems using heavy weaponry. Technically in a higher position than the other three who are normal soldiers however not in any real rank to command them.
It doesn't matter however as she doesn't care about all of that, though not in the same group as the others she holds them high as her friends.
Picture is a domineering gem, loud, brash and everything a gem wielding a laser cannon should be, she doesn't care too much for collateral damage as she'll deal with that later.
Speaking style; a rowdy, brash sounding quartz soldier with 'lazy' speech
(Commanding) "Take 'em down gems!"
(Concern growing) "Whoa, Whoa! WATCH OUT!"
(Confidently) "Why don't ya take a photo, It'll last longer."
