This project will be a video narration of my short story, "People Like Me" and it will be posted on my YouTube Channel "Radical Notion". The story begins before a drug-bust (to arrest a man named Jesse Thoran) the main character Dante, and his partner Cole are in position outside of an apartment , and are getting ready to set a breaching charge. They breach in, and this is where the readers/listeners will see Dante’s abuses behavior as a police officer. This is not a regular drug bust, the person who has the drugs has a normal family, a son, and wife. Dante strikes the father in front of his child.

Biggest role in the video narrative, because you will voice not only Dante's dialogue, but also the narration as it is in 1st person.
Dante is an Enforcer of the police force in the city, which in this Cyber-Punk city grants the Enforcer more authority to use force, and Dante went into the force to regain freedom he never had growing up. The only time Dante had freedom from his restricting parents prior to the police force was when he went to the forest to pick a rose for a girl he had a crush on, but unfortunately this did not pan out for Dante as he was rejected, he was devastated, but attempted to move on, but time and time again he was rejected love, so over time he became a man with rooted anger and depression. He only talks in short bursts, he is not friendly to people, the closest he'll get is neutral.
The wipers swung from left to right, dashing at the rain multiplying like a virus. My GPS lied in the middle of the dashboard, it read ETA: 2 Minutes. Bright, vivid lights covered the late-night city, people scattered the streets like a mundane blur. The cars ahead began pulling over letting us through, keeping the streets cold empty. Almost there. I told myself.
“Face masks on, I’m breaching in with smoke.”
“Cooperate, or I will assist you.”
“Your father owns illegal weapons, and drugs, and look at him now, you see this, this is what happens to people like him. Take it as a lesson young man.”
Jesse’s eyes opened slowly, red oozed from his right cheek dripping onto the carpet. He slowly rose to his feet, shaking riddled his body, only one eye remained opened. As the room falls silent to the sounds of a faint sobbing, his wheezing brought life to the dying room. Jesse turned to the young boy to his right, red smearing down his eye.
Cole is Dante's partner in the police force as Enforcers, and throughout the story is shown to be a dramatic contrast to Dante's rough emotion and attitude, as Cole is more leaned back.
“Yeah if people would move out of the way that is, you would think sirens are enough, fuck man.”
“Word around the station is, you know that serial killer that everyone is so scared of nowadays? Well anyway, I’ve heard that every cop who’s gotten close to catching him has died, they say he was in the military before his mind turned to mush.”
“Dante, what are you-”
Dave is the man in the Cafe scene that serves both Dante and Cole
“How may I help you officers?”
“Okay your total is eight dollars and seventy-five cents, and with an officer’s discount, it comes to seven dollars and thirty cents. Would you like to pay with cash or credit?”
“You’re welcome, and here is your black coffee.”
She is the serial killer at the end of the story, her voice is that of an English accent digitized by a synthetic voice changer.
“It’s over, congratulations, you’re a statistic,”
“Clearly you haven’t met me, but this will be the last time you do…”
“New customers, Come on out, I’ve been waiting…”
“You are the roaches of Enforcers, you just don’t…”
"Die!"
This is a failed love interest of Dante's from his distant past, she is married to the character Nick.
Hey look I don’t want to lead you on, but I already have a boyfriend, he’s out of town. I met him sophomore year and he is all I could ask for. I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you earlier, but I hope that we can still be friends, you’re an awesome guy we should stay friends.
“She must have done it before she broke in, we were sleeping before she kicked down the door.”
A street pedestrian that bumps into Dante on the street.
“’Scuse me”
“Fucking asshole!”
This is the character Dante saves early on in the story
“I’m, uh, I’m Dean sir. I was delivering these roses to my wife, and he pulled me into the alley and demanded my wallet, phone, and the roses.”
“Thank you so much for your help officer I wasn’t ready to die there.”
The mugger that mugs Dean.
“All of it, now! Now-”
“Shoulda stayed outta-”
“I surrender officer ple-”
Dante's mother that Dante abandons when he turns 18
“So how did it go?”
“Now we’ll talk about your little trip into the woods later, but I’m happy for you, your first love.”

A female officer that comes in as back up.
“Okay we got it from here, you two can get out of here.”
