Seeking Character Artist and Coder for Upcoming Visual Novel

Project Overview

Hello there! 

I am looking for someone to help out with a visual novel project that I am hoping to start next year. I have already secured a background artist and someone to create original music for the project. These are PAID positions. I put in $500 and $250/project, but those are very flexible prices. I mainly just wanted people to see that I am paying for this work.

What I need is an artist that will be able to handle the character art. The designs are already done. It's just a matter of finding someone that can draw the characters in multiple poses, expressions, and outfits. There will also be special scenes throughout the visual novel that will need to be drawn-- as they are key moments in the story.

I am also hoping to find someone that can code the project. Unfortunately, I have never done any sort of java script and don't know where to start! I would love for this to be an interactive visual novel (like DDLC, Hatoful Boyfriend, Coffee Talk) where players can make decisions about certain things in the story. However, I understand this can create more work so it's not a necessity. If it ends up being interactive, the goal is to get it released on Steam and/or Nintendo Switch. If it is more of a movie visual novel with no choices, it would be released on YouTube.

This is a complete passion project of mine. I've been working on this story for a few years now and decided I wanted to do something fun with it. While it is not technically NSFW, there are some darker themes that include suicide, discussions of sex, alcohol, classism, and murder, I request that only those who are 18+ apply for this project. There are also LGBTQ+ characters, so if you are not comfortable with that, do not apply.

Characters are already designed, but I will need someone to draw them for the visual novel. This will require multiple expressions, outfits and poses for multiple characters. On top of this, you will be required to draw some specific scenes that a key scene in the visual novel. 

I put in $500/project, this is very flexible! Please leave a comment with your rates. Hoping to know how much you would charge per "special scene", per character pose/expression/outfit.

You would be in charge of putting the visual novel all together. I honestly have no idea where to start when it comes to coding a visual novel, so if I can find someone who does, that spares me a lot of hours from having to learn coding/different programs to end up doing a mediocre job ^^; 

I would love to have the visual novel as an interactive one-- like Doki Doki Literature Club, Hatoful Boyfriend, Coffee Talk-- where you can make decisions. But, I know this creates a lot more extra work so if that's not possible, it's not a huge deal.

I would definitely be willing to help out with coding, like inserting the script text or any other basic things like that to help lighten the work load.
