Hello, thank you for taking the time to look at this project. Hopefully you’re able to audition For this role I’m advertising, if not then don’t worry as there will be plenty more opportunities to be apart of this project in the future including Voice Acting, Art, Animation and lots more!

Secret Of The Woods is a soon to be animated series available to watch on YouTube which follows the adventures of Tilly and Dusty, two house cats who venture out into the woods. Not only do they meet new friends and have the journey of a lifetime, they also uncover some deep secrets that have been kept hidden within the depths of the darkest corners within the woods. 

At the moment, I’m looking for a backup voice actor who can play the role of Tilly, the main character of the series.

The Original voice actor for this character hasn’t gotten back to me and they have until the New Year to message. If they do not message me by then, a lucky audition from here will be chosen. But if they DO message back before the New Year then unfortunately I cannot accept any of these auditions for this role. But that doesn’t mean you can’t voice act for this project. If you impress and make me feel like I can’t loose you, I can offer more characters for you to voice. For example; background characters, future characters who will appear in later episodes etc. So please, audition anyway even if you don’t think I’ll choose you. You may get an offer to play another character. 

Please be aware that Secret Of The Woods will contain mature themes in later episodes so I do ask that anyone who auditions is over the age of 15. 

Another must is that you MUST have a good microphone. If your audition is perfect yet your audio sounds grainy or of low quality then your chances of getting the role will be decreased. Sorry for any inconveniences. 

Please also note that you’re applying for a main character of a series. This means you will be taking part in a story as well as multiple episodes. Because of this, you must be able to respond to messages as quick as possible, as well as working with deadlines.

    Hello everyone! Thanks for taking an interest and the k you to everyone who has applied so far! Looking back at the description for the role made me realise I forgot to add something. This role is a backup. The previous voice actor has not spoken to me in quite a while, therefore I’m looking to recast unless they get back to me in time for the new year. Therefore, I will not be announcing a successful submission until AFTER the new year. Unless the original voice actor manages to get in touch in time. This means that one person may get the role, but it also means no one might get the role too. But I will of course keep you updated. I will be adding this extra info into the description now. Tilly is the youngest of two cats. She Is the main character of the series as well as her brother Dusty. Tilly is much more energetic and outgoing, even though her stupid and child like behaviour makes Dusty underestimate her. Being locked in a house all day allows Tilly to entertain herself by reading, and reading every book in the house multiple times a day soon makes her a lot smarter and Knowledgeable which are themes we will explore in the episodes. 

Tilly has a high pitched voice to make her sound younger than Dusty and her accent should be American to match her brother, although it doesn’t really matter. Tilly uses a lot of sarcasm and Humor in her lines so make sure you keep that in mind and use it when you think it fits, but it’s also noted down on the script when you should be sarcastic just incase. 

Only audition of you're 15+, have a good quality mic and can also be reliable.

  • Tilly has just met another cat, it’s been years since she’s seen or spoken to another cat. She’s beyond excited but also a little nervous. 

    “Uh- hello! My names Tilly and this is my brother Dusty! We are just visiting these woods temporarily and we’ll be leaving soon!”

  • To get to the woods, Tilly and Dusty must cross a very busy road. It was very close but they managed to cross without getting hit. Dusty doubted her but they ‘safely’ made it across and Tilly wouldn’t miss an opportunity to mock her brother for being wrong. 

    “And you thought I couldn’t do it. (She laughed and mocked him with a deep voice) You won’t make it across the road Tilly! (Normal voice) Well look what we did! And SURVIVED!“

  • This series has a lot of sarcasm and humour. In this scene, Tilly tricks Dusty into leaving the house so she can lock him out to prevent him from turning back and going home. He had no excuse not to follow her now. After Dusty realised the door isn’t moving when he tries desperately to open it he slowly looks back and growls at Tilly asking “What have you done?” And she gives him an honest yet sarcastic answer. 

    “Er... Locked the door! (Mumbles as she walks away) jeez I thought you knew cuz you like banged repeatedly- are you blind or something...”
