Project Overview
Hello everyone! I am looking for people to VA in my fandub for Seconds by Brian Lee O'Malley. Here is the Wikipedia summary of the story:
"The novel tells the story of Katie Clay, head chef at a prospering restaurant named Seconds, who obtains the ability to fix her past mistakes by writing them down in a notebook, eating a mushroom, and falling asleep. Abusing the power to make her life perfect, Katie ends up creating more problems for herself."

A 25-year-old African American. He is the new chef in the kitchen and is Katies boy-toy/secret boyfriend/boy-on-the-side
"Get your ridiculous Butt out of my kitchen before I throw you out!"
"Listen...I realized... you're right. We're never gonna be friends, Katie. And whatever physical attraction there was between you and us is over. "
"Okay. Yea, I'm an idiot! 'Cause I respect you. I wanted to work here because of your food. But I'm nothing to you....Like that...that girl Hazel. Why her? Why can't you talk to ME like that? I wanted us to be friends. "
Katies Ex and love interest. He's got a suave voice and a suave demeanor to boot. There seems to be a sort of invisible attraction between him and Katie
"So, Kaite, um, If you have a minute, maybe we could- Kaite...give me a chance here..."
(angry) "Katie!! How long has this been going on!? And with Andrew, of all people!?"
"Katie...What is this? I thought that it was like a diary at first. some kind of weird guilty diary. But you read on, and it's full of made-up garbage. Unreality. Highly detailed unreality."
The heroine of the story. A 29-year-old woman, she desires more out of life and can't wait for her new restaurant, called Katie's, to open. Her emotions can be all over the place, wich can lead to some complications in her life.
"Lis, It's not that I don't respect your adorable goblin rules....but I think I've been doing fine without them."
(Overdramatically) "It's taking SOOO much longer than I ever imagined! And I JUST. WANNA.COOOOOKKK!!!"
"This is YOUR fault! YOU Started this! I never asked for this, Lis! this is not where I thought I would end up. So wave your magic wand and bring us back home!"
The Co-owner of Seconds. He's strict, blunt, sarcastic, and tired of Katies complaining.
"Three months training the new guy and scaling back you hours bit by bit. Finally, we're phasing you out of here. Yet you're still here. You know you're only getting in the way here, right? Often Literally."
"Katie. Let me put your mind at ease. I have not seen a white-haired homeless lady hanging around. But rest assured, I will keep my eyes open for a white-haired homeless lady hanging around next time I'm patrolling the area for undesirables."
"Me...In charge? Well, huh... maybe when you get your own restaurant going...or when you stop living here. Or, like... if you died. Or... in Buddhism, there's a measure of time called Kalpa, it's like sixteen million years... "
Katies new business partner. Arthur, 34 years old, is an optimistic soul. He has a deep voice
"I think this is all going really well. " (Assuredly) "Okay, okay, it isn't going well. But it isn't going poorly!"
"It's your restaurant. You're the boss AND you're the genius, so why not have your name on the sign? It's a bold move for a bold place."
"We made our choice and it's going to work out fine...don't wallow."
The 'House Spirit". She is the one that gave Katie the mushrooms. She seems to have problems with speech, and only speaks in one or two-word sentences.
"One for you. Only one. There are rules."
"No. Lis's drawer."
"Lis's house. Lis's mushrooms. There are Rules."
A 21-year-old girl who works as a waiter at Seconds. She's super kind and lovable, as well as shy. After work, she cleans the house and tries to keep what she calls the 'House Sprit' happy.
"My grandma told a lot of stories. I grew up with them. But stories are about something. Keeping the House Sprit happy...I mean, from a historical perspective...It was probably some kind of justification for the endless amounts of housework the women had to endure...right? And if you didn't keep the Hous Sprit happy...it would make your life a living hell. "
"Is this a practical joke? Because I'm very gullible..."
"In the back of my mind, I knew someone was taking my stuff. I'm not an idiot. But I think a part of me always wanted to believe she was real."
