Second Chance (Fan Project)

Second Chance (Fan Project)

Project Overview

Second Chance is a non-commercial fan project dedicated to crossing the two existing universes of Oshi No Ko and Zombie Land Saga.

The story follows Ai Hoshino, who, after her death, awakens in a place completely unfamiliar to her — A mansion belonging to the idol group Franchouchou. Following her resurrection, Ai must come to terms with the circumstances she has found herself in and learn how to move forward.
Together, the two worlds collide as they prepare for a performance that becomes much more than just another concert. For Ai, it is an opportunity to step onto a stage she never had the chance to reach. For Franchouchou, it is another step toward fulfilling the dream they have been fighting for since the beginning.

The project is planned to be produced as a Live2D hybrid animation, with an approximate runtime of 24 minutes.

The crossover focuses on themes of hope, second chances, friendship, dreams, and what it truly means to become something greater as an idol.

At this stage, the project is looking for additional team members, including:

  • Voice Actors for the four remaining female characters,

  • Concept Artists,

  • Storyboard Artists,

  • Animators (Live2D / hybrid animation),

  • Composing Editor.

Saki Nikaido is the former leader and attack captain of the Dorami biker gang, making her the group's quintessential delinquent. She is loud, confrontational, confident, and extremely direct, with a tendency to solve problems through intimidation or sheer force of personality. Saki has a rough exterior and frequently talks like a stereotypical delinquent, but she has a strong sense of loyalty and respects people who show courage and determination. Her philosophy is essentially that anyone with enough guts can become a friend, regardless of their background. Beneath all the yelling and threats, Saki is fiercely protective of the people she considers her own and can become surprisingly caring when it matters.

Junko Konno is an idol from the 1980s, remembered as one of the most influential idols of her era. Compared with the more aggressive personalities in Franchouchou, Junko is much quieter, reserved, and prone to self-doubt. She can be nervous and somewhat timid in unfamiliar situations, but this should not be mistaken for a lack of conviction. Junko takes the concept of being an idol extremely seriously and has a very strong personal ideal of what an idol should be. She is the group's strongest singer, while dancing is one of the areas in which she feels less confident. Her old-fashioned background also creates a natural contrast with modern idol culture and with the other members' personalities.

  • Wait, you're telling me that's what we're supposed to do? Absolutely not. We have standards, you know.

  • ...You're really serious about this, aren't you? Fine. Then I'll take you seriously too.

  • Being an idol isn't just about looking good on stage. If you're going to stand up there, you'd better be ready to give everything you've got.

Ai Mizuno is the former center of the 2000s idol group Iron Frill and was already an accomplished idol before her death. She is highly confident in her abilities, particularly her dancing, and takes the profession of being an idol seriously. Ai has a competitive, strong-willed personality and tends to say exactly what she thinks rather than hiding behind politeness. She is skeptical of Kotaro's plans and is often one of the characters most willing to question whether his increasingly ridiculous ideas actually make sense. At the same time, her experience and professionalism make her a dependable member of Franchouchou, particularly when it comes to performing and understanding the demands of idol life.

  • Junko, stop. You're overthinking it again.

  • ...I'm not saying I don't care. I'm saying there's a better way to handle this.

  • ...You don't have to be perfect. Just don't give up on yourself.

Yugiri is a courtesan from the Bakumatsu-to-Meiji era, making her by far one of the most historically distant members of Franchouchou. She possesses a calm, graceful, and mature personality and is remarkably difficult to rattle. Even after being revived roughly 150 years after her death, Yugiri accepts the bizarre circumstances around her with an almost serene lack of concern. She is broad-minded, patient, and generally speaks with an elegant, old-fashioned manner that reflects the era in which she lived. Because of her composure and life experience, she often provides a more thoughtful perspective when the other members become overwhelmed, making her one of the group's quieter stabilizing influences.

  • My, my... what a curious gathering this has become. I wonder what fate has brought us together.

  • Goodness... you truly mean to challenge me? How bold of you

  • Please, do not speak so lightly of death. I have seen enough of it to know that some wounds do not simply fade with time.

Sakura Minamoto is the central and most emotionally grounded member of Franchouchou. She is a naturally kind, earnest, and hardworking girl who tends to worry about the people around her. After being revived as a zombie, she initially has no memories of her previous life and is forced to adapt to an extremely bizarre situation. Sakura often becomes the group's emotional center and can also function as its straight woman, especially when the others become increasingly chaotic. She is easily flustered by absurd situations, but she has a strong desire to keep moving forward and support her friends. Her speech is characterized by a Karatsu dialect, which gives her dialogue a distinct regional personality.

  • Okay! Everyone's here, right? Then let's do our best! There's no reason to be nervous... right?

  • W-Wait! Why is everyone looking at me?! Did I do something wrong?!

  • ...I don't know what the future is going to look like. But if we're all together, I think I can face it.
