Added Roles (last update to casting call)
After more research I have finally made a draft and am beginning the full script. I will be adding the role of Thetis, Hera, and Jason to give more than one anecdote of Scylla.
Scylla (Modern Retelling)
Project Overview
This is the pilot episode of the upcoming Patreon exclusive audio drama "Timeless Tales." This episode will follow the story of Scylla, and how she went from a beautiful nymph to a hideous and terrible monster. This episode will be posted to Spotify and YouTube as a teaser for the exclusive series.
Scylla is pronounced "SIL-LAH"
Note: I am 15 years old. If my age makes you uncomfortable, please refrain from applying for this project.
Casting Requirements:
Applicants must be 13 years of age or older.

Added Roles
I added the roles of Perimedes and Galatea to add emotion and backstory.

I added a role for the Siren to make the transition between Circe’s island and Scylla’s lair more seamless.

Removed Roles
During the initial research I thought there were numerous encounters with Scylla in mythology. There were some myths involving the Argonauts and Aeneas’ crew that mentioned Scylla, but after more research I learned they never actually encountered her. There is also a myth of Heracles killing Scylla, but it is very uncommon and rarely considered canon, as it was made hundreds of years after Ovid’s Metamorphosos, and for Heracles to kill her, it would be hundreds of years before Odysseus’ encounter, which we know to be canon.

After she becomes a monster you can hear all six heads speaking, so the actor will do 7 takes, one with their natural innocent voice, and 6 with different growly and threatening voices. The last audition line, do in the growly voice.
