Project Overview

LOOKING FOR VOICE ACTORS FOR MY ANIMATION THESIS FILM!!!

hihi! i'm ame, an animation student making a silly goofy film for my grad project! i'm looking for 4 VAs with varying amount of lines to play as my characters. All roles are paid but on a student budget.

Genre: Comedy, Internet/Meme-core, Heartfelt

Synopsis:

Willy, a troubled shut-in boy, has a terrible habit of chronically doomscrolling on his phone. That is until one day he drops his phone into a cup of uneaten noodles! He must go on a journey to the outside world for the first time in a long while to save his phone.

A few project notes:

  • this will be my first time working with voice actors! so pls be patient with me :)

  • intended for publishing (festivals, online, socials, etc)

  • contract must be agreed upon & signed

  • recording + directions will be done over discord for LEAD (Willy) & Repairman. Gymbro & Prettyboy will be given the animatic to dub over due to very few lines.

  • credits will be given!

    hihi!! it's ame ! and i'm happy to announce that my sound designer + I have started running through the 250+ submissions for SCREENBREAK!!!

    i'm so grateful for having so many amazing voice talents audition + express interest in the roles of willy's little world !! it's incredibly difficult to finalise the assigned VAs that dylan (sound designer) and I have been replaying screams + dudebro laughs all day.. but we are excited to announce that acceptances/rejections will be sent out very soon :)

I'm looking for a cute voice for a little guy. His lines are similar to 'Chiikawa' so more reaction noises then actual words. Comedic vocal range is a must for gags (yelling, sudden pitch change, etc).

I'm looking for a male teen/child voice actor that can sound bright and cheerful. VERY minor role consisting of mostly laughter and playful reactions.
