Project Overview
Also known as "Oh, Come On! ANOTHER Undertale Role-Swap AU?!"
Veterans of Undertale will know the drill with role-swap AUs by now--same faces, different places. This project is a fairly dark take on the concept, as it isn't afraid to hurt the characters in the process of moving them to their new roles. The comic can be read HERE.
This project aims to dub all existing parts of the comic, and will dub additional parts as they are released. You will be required to stay in touch with the rest of the voice-acting troupe on the official Scramble Saga Discord. Note that the roles of Frisk and Undyne have been claimed by the managers of this project.

A mysterious and sinister figure, evidently looking to lure humans in with a friendly facade and kill them for their SOULs.
While speaking under his facade, he carries himself with an air of authority, speaking with the tone one would expect of a middle-aged man speaking to a child, but the moment that pretense drops, his voice should become full of raw emotions (Namely hatred).
"See that heart? That's your SOUL. Think of it like...well, if your body is a robust protective case...then the SOUL would be the jewelry inside, precious and beautiful."
“You really believed all that nonsense about friendliness pellets? Clearly, you don’t have a brain to guide that SOUL of yours! WHY DON’T I TAKE IT OFF YOUR HANDS?!”
A reclusive human who lives alone in the Ruins. Their initial reception to Frisk is cold at best, but they quickly grow attached to them—seeing as they're the only legitimate conversational partner they've had in a long time. While their actual physical appearance is limited to the Ruins, additional dialogue will be required from this role throughout the run of the comic, as they continue to aid Frisk after they leave the Ruins by giving them advice through a telepathic link.
Much like Frisk, their gender is deliberately kept ambiguous, but their intended age is about a decade older (~16-18 years old). They try to repress their emotions, but their degree of success can vary dramatically. A hypothetical voice actor would have to read lines very closely to achieve the proper tonal inflection.“To be candid, the thought of leaving you here to fend for yourself is tempting, but...I know when I first came here, I certainly needed help. So...I will teach you what I know about life in the underground. Come, now. Your first lesson awaits.”
“It used to be dangerous here, but...now all the Monsters here are so scared of me...I haven’t had a real conversation with anyone in such a long time...that is, until you came along.”
“Hmph. So this is what it comes to. It seems you will only respond to force. ...Fine by me. It is a language in which I am quite well versed!”
A mysterious flower who appears from nowhere to aid Frisk. Curious though it sounds, her intentions seem genuine enough...is she this friendly to everyone?
Think back to the first schoolteacher you can remember—that’s what Flora sounds like. Sounding consistently cheery and very clear enunciation are going to be key to playing her.
“...What? Hurt you...like the other flower? Well! I assure you, I am nothing like that creep.”
"Leaving so soon, child? Why, you had barely just arrived...but if you must. Stay safe, and I shall find you later."
"Don't be afraid to make mistakes, to stumble and fall...because most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare us the most. Maybe you'll get everything you wished for—or maybe you'll get more than you ever could have imagined."
This once-lowly skeleton’s incredible work ethic and resolve have rocketed him through the ranks of the Royal Guard. Now second only to the Captain, Lieutenant “The Great” Papyrus makes Snowdin Forest his own puzzle-filled wonderland in an effort to deter any would-be incoming humans.
While technically remaining in his original placement, this take on Papyrus’s character is meant to be more serious, so the ability to be somber as well as silly will be an absolute necessity.
"THIS PUZZLE WILL BEND YOUR MIND! IT WILL BREAK YOUR SPIRIT! IT IS SO FIENDISHLY COMPLEX, IT COMES WITH ITS OWN INSTRUCTION MANUAL! ...SO PLEASE READ IT BEFORE WE PROCEED."
"IN TIME, YOU AND I WILL BE REMEMBERED AS HEROES. THEY'LL ERECT A GLORIOUS MONUMENT IN OUR HONOR! PERHAPS THEY WILL EVEN DEDICATE A HOLIDAY IN OUR NAMES! 'THE GREAT HUMAN AND SEVEN PAPYRUSES DAY...' NO, WAIT."
A traveling flame-based Monster, seeking to find his own way in the world. He believes in his innovation, but planning to sell ice cream from a cart in the middle of a forest certainly has its flaws…
While Grillby is still the man of few words you all know him as...few words is not the same as no words at all. We want to achieve the vibe of a soft-spoken, middle-aged man who sounds wise, but isn’t entirely sure of himself.
“...So, kid, what’s your secret? Kid like you tries to sell lemonade, and...no licensing...no fees...and you make a killing.”
Nobody knows his real name, only that he’s an opportunistic sort that’s doing his best in life. He runs a bed-and-breakfast inn in Snowdin, and he’s doing as well as someone who’s not exactly fond of the cold can be doing.
While not as nihilistic as his canon depiction, we are still looking for a disgruntled take on the character—think of a tired college student who can’t wait for his next break. Tangentially, being able to fake being sick would be useful, as the character in the comic is down with a case of the common cold.
“Well, well...Papyrus had said he found a human, but I wasn’t sure he had his skull on straight. And yet, here you are. Most of us really weren’t expecting to see another human in our lifetime. I’m sure the other townsfolk will be thrilled to see you...but as for me? Anyone’s money is good here.”
The Temmies have been forced out of Waterfall and into Snowdin Town by an as-of-yet-unknown force. While their character is much the same, some have been going out of their way to diversify themselves—the most notable example of which is Bob, who now owns the local diner, Bob's Burger Emporium.
We're looking for someone who can do several similar but subtly different voices for the Tems, but we're willing to take multiple voice actors as well.

Due to the medium in which Scramble Saga is told, there are bound to be plenty of bit parts for which only one or two voice lines is needed. If you’re interested in playing a bit part, contact us on Discord, send us the character you want to play and your audition for them, and be sure to be available for any return lines when notified.

A reclusive revenant who takes shelter in the Ruins to get away from the noise of everyday life. Frisk manages to befriend them before they suddenly dart off, claiming higher obligations as an excuse.
Though the tone of his lines has changed very little from canon, we do want to make one distinction very clear: Napstablook is *not* depressed. Apathetic, maybe, quiet, most certainly (though enunciation is as important as always), but this does not necessarily make him depressed. Also note that reestablishing contact for later parts of the comic will be required.

the ruins are normally pretty quiet............so i like to come here to think............but today you came along...i guess surprises can be pleasant after all...........
