Ramona's personality is largely consistent; throughout most of the film she's aloof, sarcastic, and more than a little distant. The same cannot be said for her skills.
"I change my hair every week and a half, dude. Get used to it."
“Yes I did totally come...”
"Are you well? Do you have brain damage."
He is very quiet and is most often seen just observing the dialogue of his friends and the events around him. While generally easy-going, during Sex Bob-omb's extended recording in Scott Pilgrim vs.
“Wow, um, Zelda, Tetris... That's kind of a big question.”
“You broke up with Knives?”
“He punched the highlights out of her hair!”
Roxie has an inferiority complex over her appearance and her "half ninja" background. She also enjoys taunting Scott. Roxie is also an accomplished artist, and she had an art show in a local gallery somewhere in Toronto. Ramona was thinking of attending; however, Scott defeated Roxie before the show opened. She also seems to be very descriptive, since she is seen using a lot of personifications.
“Your Bf’s about to get eff’d in the b!”
“Oh I’d love to rain check but I cashed in my last rain check.”
“You punched me in the boob!!”
Kyle's personality is more or less just like that of his twin brother. He is known to be incredibly arrogant. Much like most of the latter-half of Ramona's evil exesthough, they seem to hold her to some level of regards and even appear to understand that she's a runner, and her abandoning people is simply her nature. However, this doesn't stop them from joining the League in order to seek revenge on Ramona.The Twins are possibly the most cunning and strategic members of the League.
“You got some style Ramona very avant-chic.”
“And since the day we discovered her treachery, we vowed always to work together!!”
“She’s a runner Pilgrim.”
As a villain, Gideon is portrayed as a stereotypical evil mastermind. He is rich, intelligent, and extremely arrogant. He is normally cool and collected and tends to plan ahead greatly.
“You made me swallow my gum! That's going to be in my digestive tract for seven years!”
“Scott Pilgrim can I be the first to say nice shirt.”
“Well this is an unfortunate turn of events.”
She has a sarcastic personality and is known to be a misanthrope. You might say that she has somewhat of an inferiority complex, as she looks down at her knees, sullen, and laments Envy's beauty. Kim is employed at No-Account Video throughout the series.
“ WE ARE SEX BOB-OMB!! ONE-TWO-THREE-FOUR!!! “
“All of our shows are secret shows.”
“Is the news that we suck, because I really don't think I can take it.”
Knives Chau is a 17-year-old (18-year-old in Volume 6) Chinese-Canadian high school girl and self-described "Scottaholic" (though she later gets over him). When Knives dates Scott, she is happy-go-lucky, but when he cheated on her (initially "forgetting" to break up with her), her personality drastically changes.
“Go ahead. I'm too cool for you anyway.”
“You broke the heart that broke mine.”
“You cheated on me, Scott? You cheated on both of us?”
Personality… lazy, sweet and awkward. Scott's a born slacker and tries to avoid taking responsibility for anything. Despite his lack of real accomplishments, Scott sees himself as an extremely important person and a “paragon of virtue,” secretly viewing the world as a video game with himself as protagonist.
“When I'm around you, I kind of feel like I'm on drugs. Not that I do drugs. Unless you do drugs, in which case I do them all the time. All of them”
“The L-word?... You mean Lesbian.”
“If I peed my pants would you pretend that I just got wet from the rain?”
Matthew's attire, hair, and reason for retribution against Ramona and Scott stylizes him as some sort of goth/hipster hybrid,a brooding, angsty adult, Matthew clearly hasn't grown as an individual at all.
"It is I, Matthew Patel. Consider our fight... BEGUN!"
"YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR INSOLENCE!"
"You'll pay for this, FLOWERS."
"Envy" Adams is Scott Pilgrim's ex-girlfriend who brutally dumped Scott in college prior to the events of the book. She was initially a quiet, mousey girl, but she decides to change herself and her self image. She ends up becoming more callous and aggressive in contrast to her initial personality.
“You just headbutted my boyfriend so hard he burst.”
“Short answer: Vegans are just better then everyone else.”
“Basically, you can't win this fight, so you better give up on this girl, 'cause Todd's gonna kill you.”
Stacey Pilgrim's most dominant traits is her knack for gossip and a tendency to always say what she thinks, especially toward her older brother who she keeps interjecting her opinions and morals to.
“Did you really see a future with this girl?”
“Next time, we don't date the girl with eleven evil ex-boyfriends.”
“You should break up with your fake highschool girlfriend!”
He's a Rock Star Todd was arrogant, vain, and insensitive, as well as a horrible liar (Scott even calls him a "Cocky Cock"). He was also either a genius, or incredibly dim.
“I partake not in the meat nor the breast milk nor the ovum of any creature with a face.”
“Ve-gone?”
“Because you'll be dust by Monday... because you'll be pulverized in two seconds. The cleaning lady? She cleans up... dust. She dusts.”
Julie is known to be snarky and mean, particularly to Scott. The only person she is likely to show any kindness to is Envy Adams, though she doesn't care much for Julie and tends to ignore her.
“Did I fucking Stutter!!”
“Forget about it Scot!!!”
“I can’t believe you asked Ramona out after I specifically told you not to fucking do that!!”
Despite the rugged apperance, smoking, and being one of Ramona's Evil Exes, Lucas seems to be a decent guy who just never got past the breakup.He is both arrogant and condescending towards Scott and is not afraid to pull dirty tricks.
“It’s called a grind bro.”
“Hey man I don’t cast these things”
“Some competing you are.”
Wallace is very easy going and calm, filling the role of Scott's voice of reason. However, he can get angry, and openly hates Envy Adams for breaking Scott's heart, calling her an "unbelievable bitch". He is also very open about his homosexuality often walking around his and Scott's apartment in his underwear and repeatedly declaring his "hotness".
“You’re totally my bitch forever.”
“Guess who’s DRUNK!!!”
“It was a test Jimmy...a test.”
