Project Overview
Sail Away is an animation created by soulshex. Through collaboration with other artists on casting call club, it is with hope that we can create an artist project that not only creative, but also humorous.
About Sail Away!
This story is about a young girl named Aria who attends Vast Ocean Academy, who is learning how to manage her emotions that control the 7 Seas. While attending this prestigious academy, she meets another young girl named Allie, who is the Head Master's youngest daughter. Allie and Aria tend to cause some chaos around the school and always manage to find their way into trouble. Mira, Aria's mortal enemy, is constantly trying to one up Aria and be the most popular girl in school. Aria and Mira are always butting heads, but Aria always ends up on top. Blaze, Allie's sister, who is the Captain of Team Shell, the living quarters that Allie and Aria reside in, is rebellious but never seems to get caught due to her stealth nature and charm. She has the ability to talk her way out of almost every situation she finds herself in. Marina, the 3rd wheel to Allie and Aria, is a true odd ball. She is the head trainer of the DSS, Dolphin Security Squad, and little does everyone know, she can actually communicate with all sea animals. While trying to manage her emotions that control the seas, Aria is also in love with Cherry, the ASB President and the Setter of the volleyball team. Cherry doesn't even notice that Aria is in love with her, because she's too busy falling in love with Captain Blaze (Allie's sister).
S1E1: At the beginning of the school year, all the girls arrive for their first day at Vast Ocean Academy. Aria meets Allie, who has been living on the boat her entire life due to her father being the Head Master. Blaze welcomes all the girls by leading orientation activities, assigns the girls to their residence halls, set up voting for ASB club members, and try outs for all the sports teams. Aria and Allie are eating lunch in the cafeteria, when they notice an odd girl, Marina, being picked on by 3 mean girls, Mira, Nori and Kailani. Aria and Allie hit it off with Marina and the three slowly become inseparable. As Aria is walking back to her quarters, she spots Cherry, a short, lavender haired girl, with dark brown eyes, leaving her room. Aria is immediately infatuated by Cherry's charm and quick-wit sense of humor, and quickly falls head over fins in love with her. Allie reminds Aria that she is here to focus on managing her emotions and not on cute girls from another island. As the night comes to an end, Aria is heartbroken, but understanding, that she is here to work on her emotions, and begins to cry. As she wipes her tears, she notices that a tsunami starts and all the girls are evacuated to the lower deck for safety. When Aria quickly moves across the boat and stops crying, she notices the tsunami stops. Aria then wonders if it's her that is controlling the seas.

Aria (lead character) (lesbian) is a 15 year old student at Vast Ocean Academy. She is hyper, yet determined, to prove to her family that she is just a normal school girl after she discovered that she has incredible abilities to control the seven seas.

Allie (14y.o) is the daughter of the founders of Vast Ocean Academy. She is often compared to her older sister, Blaze, despite being very independent and smart on her own. Her and her bestie, Aria, are known for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and often find themselves in trouble. Together they have slowly taken over the academy and become the most popular girls at the school.

Blaze (17 1/2y.o) has excelled in her academics, and was appointed as head rank at Vast Ocean Academy. As Captain of Team Shell, she is well liked by others and one of the most popular girls in school. She is beautiful and everyone wants to befriend or date her. Cherry (15y.o/bisexual) short, bold, lavender haired girl, she was raised by a single mom who instilled her the importance of standing up for what's right. She knew she always wanted to attend Vast Ocean Academy, but didn't have the financial means to attend. After many years of hard work in grade school, she applied for a scholarship at VOA and was granted full ride. She is the captain of the beach volleyball team and president of the debate club. Marina (16 y.o. non-binary) (they/she) is able to communicate with animals and is the primary trainer of the dolphin security squad that protects the boats of VOA. While they don't have many friends, their love for animals is what keeps them going. The other kids at VOA think Marina is a bit odd, but they always say hello to them while passing through the halls.

Mr. Fran (54y.o.) (he/him) is the hot daddy principal that roams these halls. He is married to his bimbo wife, KoKo, who has a serious shopping addiction. He is the father of Allie and Blaze, both of which have strained relationships with him and think he tries to hard too be cool. He drowns his sorrows in his 6am cardio class, 7 days a week. While in work meetings, he is often riding his elliptical or walking on his walking pad. He is currently training for an iron man.

KoKo (30y.o.) (she/her) has dreamt of being a Captain's wife since she attended Academy of Scorching Himalayas (ASH) school for girls. She was the top of her graduating class and the daughter of the Head Master. Instead of following in her mother's footsteps, she wanted to be a trophy wife instead. She is only 15 years older than her step-children and they hate and don't respect her. Which is fine because she doesn't respect them either. She is always asking her husband for more money and to send his kids to ASH to get away from them.

Nori (15 y.o)
Nori is known for sleeping in class, despite having the highest GPA. Her and her best friend Kailani, are dragged into Mira's madness, and are unable to bring their views into the picture. Due to this, Nori is quite passive, even though she used to be a social butterfly.

Kailani (15 y.o)
Kailani is an advocate for others. Secretly, she helps those affected by Mira to recover from her sharp words. She listens and scans the area, being very observant on body language. She snaps at Mira, putting Mira in her place, while in return receives a few curses.

Reon (19 y.o)
Reon is a momma's boy. Born under KoKo's side, he tries to suck up to her, believing anything she says. Despite being a spoiled brat, he is actually quite powerful, being able to bring ash into people's lungs and giving people life threatening diseases.
