Project Overview

Hello Casting Call Club, I'm Eric of Crumbling Cube Entertainment.
A few months ago, we started a series of RWBY fan videos called "RWBY Thoughts." The premise of which is to take everyone's favourite scenes and characters and let everyone know what they're thinking via narration. These thoughts can be in character or out and can range from comedic to more serious in nature. The original video featuring Oscar and Ozpin has been very well received and as of this writing is sitting at 88K views with other videos in the series regularly pulling in 20K plus views per video. Of course, with viewers come requests for other characters. So this is where you guys come in! With such a large cast for RWBY, we can’t possibly voice them all between the 2 of us, so we've got a few characters below that we're looking to write scripts for. There may be more coming in the future, but for now this is it!
Directionally, we aren't aiming for 100% impressions here. The most important thing is to be close enough to the original voices, while remaining in character. We like collaborating with acting talent and you’ll have free reign to voice the lines how you see fit, unless otherwise specified in the script. We will only overrule a reading if necessary.
Although we can not compensate you financially, this is a wonderful opportunity to add a piece to your portfolio that has a sizeable audience. Something which can be used as leverage to secure yourself paying gigs in the future.
The commitment required to this project would be about once a month on an ongoing basis, with a turn around time of 2 weeks from the dispatch of the script. We understand as this isn't a paying gig and other priorities may come up, however we kindly request you communicate with us on such occasions. We may also ask you to voice other characters for other series, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
In terms of editing, raw takes are ok as we’re used to editing those out when we do the voice-overs and editing ourselves. You are of course free to edit them down if you see fit. For technical specifications, WAV or AAC preferred, MP3 acceptable. Sample rate should ideally be 44100hz. Audio should be mostly free of background noise and have a minimum bitrate of 64 kbps with 192kbps or more being preferred. And yes you are welcome to audition for more than one role.

Remnant’s favourite terrible mom. Raven is her same aloof and abrasive self with an extra side helping of savagery. She will occasionally recall some experiences from her past at Beacon, and some parallels will be drawn from Team RWBY and JNPR to Team STRQ.
Context: Vol. 5 Ep 11. In this scene Raven is talking down to everyone at Haven Academy.
“Don’t you idiots get it? Ozpin’s powers are dwindling! He had his best shot thousands of years ago and guess what? He keeps on fucking it up! The man’s incompetent. Save yourselves!”Context: Vol. 5 Ep 11. Right after Raven says “You sound just like your mother.”
“Seriously I feel so annoyed. I can hear that dolt like it was yesterday!”
*Raven proceeds to do a condescending Summer impression*
“‘Oh Raven let’s wear matching outfits!’ ‘Hey best-ie let’s bake some cookies!’ ‘Wow Raven, now that’s a Katana!’"
*Impression over.

The mother, the daughter, and the holy spirit will now all be featured in RWBY Thoughts. Yang is much less family friendly in her thoughts and yes you’d best believe there will be puns.
Context: Once Yang tries on her new automail arm.
“Hmm…I wonder if this thing has a vibrate function? You know, for devastating attacks. On me.”
Context: upon receiving Raven’s offer to join the bandit tribe.
“You think I want to be a bandit? Hello, mom are you OK in the head? Where’s the running water out here, never mind the lack of anything else for miles. I lost my arm, not my brain.”
Context: The first time she sees Blake at the Battle of Haven.
“Wow. I am going to SMASH that pussy later.”
Everyone’s favourite cat girl. Realistically, we couldn’t feature Yang without Blake. So here she is.
Context: when Sun doesn’t shut up around Ghira.
“Is it possible to want to die on the spot and murder someone at the same time?”
Context: when Ilia reveals her true feelings for Blake.
(Sarcastic: ) “Wow… you too? God damn it why does everyone want to bang me?! How about you get in line? It goes without saying but, the competition’s a little stiff right now. Wait I can TOTALLY use this to my advantage…”
Context: right after taking down Adam Taurus
“That was a LOT easier than I thought it would be. That sure would’ve been anticlimactic if this were part of some big showdown in a TV show.”
All a part of her nefarious plans, she has now infiltrated the RWBY Thoughts series. Most of her thoughts are trying to think of how to say the most evil thing possible at any given time.
Context: right after Jaune’s heartfelt speech at the Battle of Haven.
“Hmm... I know who he is, he’s that goofy Jaune guy who wore a dress to that dance. Now what should I do for a comeback? Should I go for the dead girlfriend angle? No, no… too obvious. Oh! I think I’ve got it. I’ll pretend to not even know who he is!”
Context: Right after Jaune grazes her mask with his sword.
“Wow! That was close. I almost got killed by that bumbling idiot. Thank the Gods I didn’t go for the dead girlfriend thing, that would’ve been too ironic of a death.”
Context: When she loses to Raven and starts falling into the abyss
“You know, I really didn’t think my last words on this planet would be “shut up. ”
