Rush Job - Need Major Roles for Shakespeare's Star Wars

Rush Job - Need Major Roles for Shakespeare's Star Wars

Project Overview

I had to fire both of my previous actors from this project. I need someone with a quick turn around time, quality microphone (preferably no usb), and doesn't mind extensive amounts of speaking parts.

The chorus serves as the background narration for the play. The lines are from the prologue and an enhanced version of the introduction from the movie.

  • "It is a period of civil war.

The spaceships of the rebels, striking swift

From base unseen, have gain'd a victory o'er

The cruel Galactic Empire, now adrift."

  • "In time so long ago begins our play

In star-crossed galaxy far, far away."

This character is for really anyone who can pull off the R2-D2 noises. What's great about this character is not only that he beeps in iambic pentameter, but he also has these deep moments where he talks to himself in english.

  • "Beep, meep, beep, squeak, beep, beep, beep, meep, beep, whee!"

  • "This golden droid has been a friend, 'tis true,

And yet I wish to still his prating tongue!

And imp, he calleth me? I'll be revenged,

And merry pranks aplenty I shall play

    Upon this pompus droid C-3PO!"

These lines are from when Vader first sets foot on the Rebel ship at the beginning of the movie.

I last actor was cast for the role because he had the mask effect added to his recordings. Just saying.

  • "Be thou not so surprised. For well thou knows

A mercy mission this was not, this time.

    Thine innocent appearance doth disguise

A heart with revolution at its core."

  • "And prithee, speak thou well, or speak thy last,

For fairer necks than thine my hand hath crush'd."
