Hello casting call club! We- Rin and Shu- are a quest to build something hopefully amazing—an animated movie project. If you're into voice acting, singing, songwriting, music composing, art, or any other creative skill, we would love to have you here!
The world is in perfect balance. Technology is advanced, the people of Alvian live in harmony, and a powerful ruler sits above it all in his glory. This harmony is pierced the moment Akira– hailing from tumbledown Toshinoro– loses his family in a gruesome slaughter. Before long, the benevolent facade of the ruler he held so highly is shattered, leaving his role of orchestrator weighing heavy on his mind. In his fearful stupor, he stumbles upon an ancient temple in the middle of a desolate forest. There is where he finds his answer.
Now armed with a grimoire, an elf who displays no courage in the slightest, a strange, carefree, winged creature and a timorous lamb who happens to enjoy herbalism; Akira is determined to figure out the truth of Alvian. Why did this mysterious ruler target his family? Why are there all these mythical beings he has never encountered in his short life? What is truly happening within the kingdom’s borders, and more strikingly: why does nobody here seem to know what a book is?

The protagonist of the story. Resides in Toshinoro, a town somewhere within Alvian's tight borders. Akira is a human, a rare and heavily oppressed species due to their lack of power in all aspects. Despite this, he himself wields an excellent and creative mind to get through difficult situations. He is knowledgeable in the written word, although he has been told by his family not to tell anybody else. He is not very sure why, but he has done his best to keep his promise. His goal is to defeat the ruler of Alvian, Alaric- and bring equality to all species, regardless of their strengths or weaknesses.
At first glance, Akira appears to be a stoic, calm man who is self-assured. He is kind and works hard towards his goals, his heart being an inspiration to those around him. The other side of him depicts a resentful child, longing to return to the life he used to have. After the death of his family, he struggles to move on. Perhaps, through his journey, he will be able to find a new purpose to move forward and let go of his anger to fight for a more noble purpose.

Brother of Misono. Ryuji is the first companion Akira meets on his journey. Being an elf, a high-ranked species, allows him to manipulate magic with ease. Throughout the story, he plays a pivotal asset to the team; defending them from enemies and pulling his friends out of dire situations despite his reluctance. Maybe he thinks his brother is a bit of a spoiled brat, but he does not wish to admit it. Still, he cares about Misono deeply and hopes that he is willing to open up to him. Ryuji himself struggles with confrontation, and thus their relationship remains at a stalemate. On the whole, Ryuji is a supportive and generally kind-hearted individual. He encourages others when they are in need of it. That is– well– until he is faced with a dangerous situation. To say the least, Ryuji lacks bravery. He fears adventure, and he fears injury even more. He does what is within his power to do what is right, terrified of stepping across the lines.

Brother of Ryuji and 2nd son of the Saito family. Misono is the second companion— well, first, if you order them by recruitment— to Akira’s team. For some reason, Misono and Ryuji have a … complicated relationship. As brothers, they are polar opposites at every angle. Although Misono knows Ryuji cares deeply for him, Misono isn’t very sure he can reciprocate these feelings. Rather, he might feel a little resentful. Sorting out these feelings throughout the story may be what Misono needs to move on.
In simple words, Misono is, well… a spoiled brat. He is short-tempered when unable to obtain what he wants. The word “no” is not a word that exists in his dictionary. When he is not agitated, Misono is carefree and fun to hang around— sometimes too carefree. He cannot seem to read the room for the life of him, and it tends to cause him to appear brash and condescending. This is most certainly due to his past in which he lived as the son of a wealthy family. Adventurous and spontaneous is Misono, who refuses to back down from a challenge. Perhaps he is a bit too different from his brother.

Healer and archer of the group. Vesperine's strength lies in being an astute herbalist. She is able to quickly identify plants and herbs, paying homage to her field frolicking rather than studying in her youth. Her family disagrees with her interests, and thus she feels inclined to join Akira on his adventure. Hearsay proclaims that Vesperine has been brought to Alvian from a distant kingdom to the north, but nobody will ever know for sure.
As an individual, Vesperine is highly dependent and holds much passion towards her field of work in traditional medicine. Some rumours even go so far as to proclaim her a witch. She, however, does not seem to take these comments personally. Her taciturn nature also does not refute these claims, and may even take pride in them. In fact, she seems to put a lot of pride into her own field of work— which can lead her to be volatile when questioned.

Enigmatic yet beloved by his people, Alaric rules over Alvian with the help of his childhood best friend, Yuki. His demeanor, as silent as the night, circulates fear throughout the kingdom of Alvian. A fearsome ruler you can’t help but admire; picking a fight with him is not a wise choice. He is said to be the one who is the savior of the people, the one that allows the empire to prosper to this day.
Alaric's underprivileged background causes him to lack a moral compass. He does what he wants when he wants to, stopping at no end to pursue his desires. He charms his people with honeyed words and yet can be violent, cruel and dirty-playing. He is calm, composed and a delight to have as an ally: once someone has his backing, there is no longer any need for them to fear.

If there was one person Alaric favored the most out of the entire empire, Yuki would be the first of a short list of mentioned names. Some say he also oversees Alaric’s spies and manages internal complications. Mysterious is Yuki; one would see him around Alaric almost all the time, but nobody knows much about him. Yuki, unlike Alaric, is a typically gentle and kind person. He is fiercely loyal to his friend and his emperor, willing to do whatever it takes to help Alaric achieve his goals. If Alaric is charming, Yuki is cunning. He exploits the weaknesses of others and draws his own strategies to make up for his lack of physical strength. But if he himself were to have a weakness, it would be threatening the one that matters most to him.

Those who know of her claim she is “capable” and “diligent”. Whether these descriptions hold water can only be confirmed by the emperor himself.
Ayame completes her tasks with a mechanical quickness. She is stern, cold and puts her head before her heart in every scenario– with the exception of Yuto, the younger cousin she has helped to raise since young. Anything her cousin wants, so does she. Many even wonder if she has a life outside of work and the caretaking of her cousin. If asked, she will admit: perhaps not. Yet, she is happy regardless, so why bother finding something else to do?

The designs she creates are renowned throughout Alvian, even having captured the attention of the emperor himself– although she has never met him directly. Many, even the highest of nobility, vy for a dress from her to no avail.
Her eye for beauty is what makes her a fantastic fashion designer, says many critics. While a prickly perfectionist, Ryushina has a deep care for the arts and her sons. Her work-life balance is… skewed, yes, but she tries her best to make time for both aspects of her life. Between Ryoko and her, Ryushina would claim herself to be the more stern of the two when it came to raising their sons. She can only hope that she is not too harsh on them.

Ryoko has a wide range of hobbies. She enjoys finding loopholes around rules and more importantly: spending time with her family. In her free time, Ryoko finds joy in collecting and repairing antique vehicles. She is particularly fond of teaching her tricks to Misono, who is eager to learn from her. The weight of the Saito family rests on her shoulders as a burden regardless; at the very least, Ryoko knows that: with her title as nobility, she is able to secure the safety of her family.

Royal Executioner, loyalty firmly rooted in the Eternal Emperor. Born in poverty, on the outskirts of Alvian, Yuto has never known decency. Many palace-dwellers can only wonder: how did this oni come to find a residence in the very center of Alaric’s empire?
Yuto is extreme in every regard, especially with his job. Any moment with violence has him drawn like a moth to a flame. Religiously devoted to the emperor and his excellency, the executioner will stop at no length to ensure his job is done properly. He finds pleasure in the pain of his victims and finds particular enjoyment in watching the life seep from their eyes, but fret not; he will always ensure that he procures the information required before killing anybody.

VOICECLAIM: Fish Feet has no voice claim. Rin prefers you to use your natural voice, but feel free to show off what other voices you can do. We're just looking for someone who is spontaneous and creative who can use their voice to the fullest in portraying a mostly-silent character. Think Komi or Shousuke from Komi Can't Communicate.

Make sounds that portray different emotions without speech. (Happy, sad, angry, annoyed etc.)

- 3 people will be casted for this role, as it is a chorus. We will cast a mix of male and female.
- To audition, you must submit ONE reading of poetry (of your choice) and your gender's SONG AUDITION. To sing for this role is compulsory, whether you have experience or not.
- If you do not like the recommended poems on the list, you may pick your own given that the length of the poem chosen is similar and dramatic.
- It is heavily preferred that you have prior singing/music experience before auditioning for this role. However, even without music experience and you do get cast, we have vocal instructors who can help you.
