RETIREMENT: An Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Quest Mod

RETIREMENT: An Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Quest Mod

Project Overview

Retirement is a quest mod in development for Skyrim! The only unfinished part of the mod is voice acting. As the mod author, I am searching for four voice actors to fulfill the roles of Endryn Dredayn, Dirk, Sharper-Scales, and Waldran. I have had wonderful results with Casting Club Call in the past, and am excited to be back here with another project! Please audition for the roles below, and if you are selected, I will email a complete script to you with all the necessary information for fulfilling the role.

Voice acting is such a crucial component of a great quest mod, and as someone who loves adding content to amazing games like Skyrim, I hold a great amount of respect to the actors who help out with projects like this. Thank you so much for your time! I am looking forward to listening to your auditions.

A pirate who used to work for Dredayn. Waldran is tough and smart. He is also working on turning his life around, but still has a problem with laying off the booze. He's not always so drunk that his speech is slurred, but being so stimulated has led to him coming across as bi polar to some, his mood fluctuating from jovial to serious without warning. He possesses the cadence of someone like Captain Jack Sparrow.

  • Tell you what Assassin. I have a proposition for you. Buy me a drink, and I'll tell you something Dredayn doesn't want you to know.

  • Get me some Sujamma. Then we'll talk.

  • I've done things I'm not proud of. I've ruined lives, thrown others into shackles, and cut more throats than I could even count.

A former slaver who claims to be done with that life. He tasks the player with eliminating his former business partners. His motivations can be later revealed to be different, as Dredayn actually plans on initiating new illegal slave operations in Skyrim. The reason he actually wants his old partners killed is because they rejected his new offer, and he wants to ensure that they don't inform anyone else of his plans. Dredayn is often blunt and brutal throughout his discourse.

  • You came here to warn me about an assassin, presumably to save my life. You thought it was a good deed. Well maybe I'm not a good person.

  • His name is Waldran, a Redguard. When I hired him, he was a privateer and a drunk. I expect he has fallen back on at least one of those old habits.

  • I'm not paying you to talk to anyone. I am paying you to kill them!

Dredayn's loyal and personal bodyguard. Dirk isn't much of a people person, and isn’t too bright overall, but makes up for his intelligence withhis aptitude for combat. His voice usually sounds gruff and annoyed.

  • Lord Dredayn is not to be disturbed, and you're an intruder. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now.

  • I don't think so buddy.

  • I guess he'll want to hear about this. Follow me.

A liar who used to work for Dredayn. His role in the operations was deception. He assumed the role of a priest, and tricked other Argonians into believing he was transporting them to safety, while infact delivering them into a live of slavery. Now Sharper-Scales has relocated to the island of Solstheim, where he spends the remainder of his days attempting to atone for his sins by becoming an actual priest. Since he is an Argonian, his voice sounds scaly, but also relatively calm and somewhat somber.

  • Do you know the god of labor?

  • He renders peace and prosperity into our lives, so long as we work hard at our craft with respectable means.

  • Do you walk a path that Zenithar would smile upon?
