Reaper The Musical
Project Overview
Reaper is a new comedic musical in progress that will be entered in a young playwrights contest for a chance to be produced professionally. The story centers around the Grim Reaper who gets turned human as a punishment with his mortal enemy, Cupid. There are plenty of fun roles in this show waiting to be brought to life.
Singers are needed for a recording of the music in the show. Singers must have very clear recordings with a microphone.
Being experienced in musical theater is extra points!
Songs require patience to learn. May take many different takes so please be open for that.
We also need a music composer who will compose the instrumentals for acapella pre-written songs.
Anybody 14+ is welcome to audition for any role! (I'm 16, adults scare me)

The secondary protagonist. Grim's mortal enemy, later turned ally. He's praised often by his peers, but this praise can easily go to his head. Kind to those he likes, but constantly arguing with Grim

The Grim Reaper's best friend, who's secretly plotting against him the whole time to steal his job. A prankster who wants nothing more but to have power(and fun)

Rich guy who's very full of himself. Let's Grim and Cupid stay with him when they're human because charity work makes him feel like a good person. Loves his life and oblivious to those around him suffering, especially his sister.

Chris has a very cheery tone, but slowly wakes up and begins facing reality throughout the story, so must also have a dark tone.

Younger, teen sister of Chris. Painfully aware of the world. Sees through the stupidity of those around her, classic angsty teenager. She mostly stays silent unless she has something to say. Makes a deal with Boogeyman at one point to make her brother open his eyes.

Fiancé of Marie, part of the couple Cupid is tasked to break up. A very bright and happy person and a hopeless romantic. Loves Marie more than anything.

Fiancé of Annie, part of the couple Cupid has to break up. Marie has an alternative style but a kind personality, and she doesn't take crap from anyone. When she's with Annie her softer side is very visible.

Council member, the 'god of space.' Comic relief character but still just as respected as the rest of the council. Here to have a good time and keep the universe at peace.
