Purple Hyacinth [WEBTOON DUB] [CLOSED]

Project Overview

Purple Hyacinth is a Webtoon created by Ephemerys and Sophism. The creator was kind enough to let me dub their work and post it on YouTube. This will be on my channel, Legend Dubs, starting with the Prologue. This is a long term project, so commitment is critical. Deadline may be extended. Please let me know if you have any questions. // AUDITION REQUIREMENTS //

  • Cardioid condenser microphone. XLR preferred, but not required.
  • Treated recording space with noise floor at or under -60db.
  • Submit files with waveforms peaking at -3db.
  • Please edit out unnecessary silence, breathing, popping and plosives.
  • File type: WAV, 44.1 kHz, 16-bit, mono.
  • Please include Discord ID with your audition.
  • DO NOT submit your demos for consideration. Custom auditions only.

  • Must be available to record revisions/pick-ups/walla, etc.
  • Keep communication open between the director and talent.
  • Submit lines as a WAV, 44.1 kHz, 16-bit, mono.
  • Provide your YouTube channel/screen name or social media accounts of your choice and preferred name to be credited as so that it will be included in the video description.

    Get your auditions in, because there's one more week to this casting call! If you know someone who may be interested, please share this page around! I know this has been a tough time with the COVID-19 pandemic and the adjustments that we as people are making to weather this storm, but I'm confident that we'll pull through, and we'll pull through together. I say if we're going to stay inside more, why not do what we can to make things a little more tolerable. The best way I know how to do that is to entertain with videos that people can (hopefully) enjoy! Once again, I'm very grateful for the response to this casting call thus-far. Lauren Sinclair is the main character in the Purple Hyacinth story. She's a talented and intelligent police officer who can hear when people lie. A former detective, she was heavily affected by a traumatic event in her past. She can be social and funny when around friends and colleagues, and often uses those instances to mask her real feelings.

  • Tell me how to defuse the bomb, or I swear I will- (intense, interrogating someone)

  • Well, I'll be going now, Officer Harvey. Got some paperwork to do back at the station! (casual, friendly)

  • What if you believed you knew better than anyone else. Because unlike you, they can't see the lies. (somber narration)

William Hawkes is a competent and honest Lieutenant in the Ardhalis Police Department on the same team as Lauren Sinclair and Kym Ladell. Thoughtful and rational, he's a natural leader, but can be prone to making some rash decisions.
