ProjeKt_Cryb4by is a fully free-to-play and voice acted visual novel I am working on, that I am wanting to release a short demo of (simply the first few minutes or so of the game), for the sake of showing potential collaborators in the future.
I am here to cast for the 3 roles needed for this part of the game:
Zack - A soft-spoken, kind boy (Teenager), who is fairly gullible, and not the best at social interactions. Despite that, he is fairly cheerful, and easily excited.
Mom - The loving, caring and worrisome mother of the protagonist.
Narrator - Arguably the most important role, and the one with the most lines.
IMPORTANT INFO BEFORE AUDITIONING
I apologise firstly for the short notice on the deadline, but I am trying to get this demo project done before the 14th of September, if possible.
Please do not audition with a phone, earphone or headset microphone. XLR or USB are preferred.
Please either provide a discord username with your audition, or DM it to me, if you would prefer it stay off the public auditions page.
This is for a small demo of the game, which has already been written and coded, and had a fair amount of the art done for it. but I do plan on completing the full game too, and would love to have it be with the same actors I find via this casting call reprising their roles. It's not a requirement, but it'd be great to work with people who would be open to working on that larger project, when the time comes.
Here is the very basic overview of the game's concept:
A visual novel set in a high school (although the demo will only be set within the player character's bedroom), with a focus around the player's group of childhood friends, who grew apart over the years after an argument some number of years ago.
Hi all! Apologies, but because of some circumstances out of my control I'm busy all of today. The three roles will be cast before the end of Friday for certain, because it may take me a while to narrow down who I want for each role. I'm very happy with the quality of Submissions received, but that also means I have the struggle of choosing between you all now.

Arguably the most important role. Needs a voice that is neither too high or low, or too intense. Must be fairly easy to listen to over a longer period of time.
Can be a masculine, feminine, or androgynous voice.
She shook her head, looking down at you.
As you sit quietly on your bed, her words swirled in your head, as you can't help but have Zack stuck on your mind...
You hear him cheer on the other side of the phone. The same little excited cheer he's always had, that you hadn't heard in so, so long.
Zack is soft-spoken and quiet, but louder when he gets excited.
A quiet boy who doesn’t really realize that the group of friends aren’t on the best terms, and has on multiple occasions invited them all over to hang out, only to be disappointed when nobody shows up. He’s bad at recognising social cues, and is terrible with sarcasm, too. He’s a member of the art club at school, and loves to paint more than anything.
I'll see if I can get any of the others to come, too! We can meet up just outside of the gates, 'kay? [Happy, excited]
Yeah, it's alright, don't worry about it... [Disappointed, upset]
I… I went to everyone's houses… But uh, all your parents said you were busy. [Nervous, timid]
Yeah, that was all. I’ll leave you alone now, dear. [Disappointed]
