Project Overview

Project Yellow is a re-write of the RWBY series created by Rooster Teeth which I am a big fan of, the series will follow Jaune Arc the progeny of a family filled with famous heroes, however he isn't very well trained and he faked his transcripts to get into school. We will watch as he progresses through the series and tries to become a hero, but soon realizes that there is a lot more to the story than your simple happily ever after. 

Project Yellow is another one of my projects that I will be working on for the pleasure of working with others as well as getting into working with re-writing such a beloved story, (Project Yellow is not the official name of the project the name is currently pending and will be decided soon). Project Yellow is a non-profit fan-based rewrite of the popular pseudo-anime RWBY. RWBY  is an American anime-style web series and media franchise created by Monty Oum for Rooster Teeth. 

The show is set in the fictional world of Remnant, where young people train to become Huntsmen and Huntresses to protect their world from the creatures of Grimm. All rights are reserved to Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum. 

For the cast and crew I am looking for everyone willing to have fun voicing these characters and ready and willing to get a lot of work done when it comes to making the series,

 I invite everyone to come try out to be a part of a super cool project. This project in of itself acts as a love letter to Monty as well as an opportunity to get your craft and name out there. I am looking forward to help whoever needs it to take a step forward in their dreams and goals as well as have a fun doing it.

P.S we are currently working on the designs for the characters so sorry for the blank spaces.

  • Final Calls and Crew

    Hey everyone Tobias here, I just wanted to go ahead and let everyone know that casting happens once again today on the 4th of July, this will be the final strech so any and all auditions must be put in today or you are going to miss it! Also for the crew postions, do not fret if you see someone get casted as I will be casting multiple crew members from each of the auditions look out for an email/private message to see if you made it in for an interview. Thank you all for following Project Yellow once more and I hope together we can make something amazing.

    Hey everyone it's Tobias, first off I just wanted to say thank you all for the support behind the project I am deeply honored to have had so many people come by and audition. I genuinely had a lot of fun going through all of these auditions and the time has finally come to begin casting. Weiss Schnee is a student of Beacon Academy and one of the main protagonists of RWBY Project Yellow. Her weapon of choice is a Multi Action Dust Rapier (MADR) named Myrtenaster. The former heiress of the vastly influential Schnee Dust Company, After enrolling in Beacon against the wishes of her father, she where she resides to become a huntress

Everything has been decided for Weiss in her life, and because of it, she is a bit of a rebel. This manifests itself in her physical appearance as she wears her ponytail to the side of her head, disrupting the symmetry of the rest of her outfit. She takes pride in her name and the company, though. Weiss felt lonely throughout her life, which translated into a cold nature. Constant attacks by the White Fang added heavy strain to her life, explaining her often difficult personality. After warming up to people, she places a great deal of trust in her friends and confides in them when she feels the need without abandoning her usual strict attitude. 

She is irritable and confident in her abilities, though also acknowledges her deficiencies and the need to hone her skills further. Her confidence in her skills and intellect often comes off as arrogance to others. This is also mentioned by Kara, who called her the "know-it-all" type of person who also can become best friends with her acquaintances.

Weiss vows that as a Huntress, she will elevate the Schnee name from her father’s dishonor to it and put her desires behind others’ necessities.

Thumbelina Peach

Thumbelina is the dainty teacher of plant science in beacon who’s around the same age as Port. She’s free spirited and one of the nicer teachers in Beacon who takes her class out of the classroom to explore the forest. She’s a little eccentric like the other teachers but she seems to have it together a bit more than the others in terms of her personality and life. Her class is typically a favorite of many students because she doesn’t assign much and believes in a lighter workload which leads to many students dozing off or finishing early to goof around. Her appearance may suggest she’s a sweet and kind grandmotherly figure but she is quite effective in combat situations, brandishing the weapon “Briar” a Thompson that becomes her spray bottle. She’s one of the older teachers at Beacon having been there for more than a generation and refers to some of the faculty as still being “as stubborn as they were in my class”. 

I am looking for sweet grandmother type, don't be afraid to throw your own little twist into it.

Bartholomew Oobleck

Dr. Bartholomew Oobleck is a teacher at Beacon Academy.

Oobleck's trademark characteristics are his extreme hyperactivity and his love for coffee, tea or some other stimulant. Not only does he frequently "glide" about in class at incredible speeds, he also speaks very rapidly. This energy might be a result of him constantly drinking what appears to be coffee. His unkempt look and the mess on and around his desk suggest he has little to no regard for tidiness. During his class, Oobleck is very enthusiastic and strict about his work, being very happy when inattentive students seem ready to contribute to class and punishing students who perform poorly. 

This is because behind his almost flamboyant behavior, Oobleck is an incredibly deep and compassionate thinker, completely dedicated to and relishing in his roles as Huntsman and teacher. Oobleck views history as an important way to prevent the repetition of past mistakes, saying the advancement of knowledge is worthy of being referred to as fighting, for it will better prepare Humanity's future in the fight for survival against the Grimm. Oobleck takes pride in his historical knowledge. In "Mountain Glenn", Oobleck is upset and angry at himself for not remembering the information about Mountain Glenn's underground city. This same pride causes him to snap at people who call him "Professor", demanding they address him properly as "Doctor".

Ann is based on Hunter S Thompson and Anne Shirley. Ann is the gruff teacher of stealth and security who is seen as the definition of a super spy, paranoid, perceptive, harsh, effective and heavily principled. She wears a blue cap, sunglasses, blue button down with rolled up sleeves and is almost always shown smoking a cigarette to the dismay of her peers. She has a “Hell’s Grimm” tattoo on her. She also has an insane love of firearms having a gun almost everywhere on her body. She dresses rather masculine with a security guard vibe to her look and is almost always hunched over. She starts almost all her classes by telling her students to pop a squat. She holds the idea that “three people can keep a secret if one is buried six feet under and the other lobotomized”. She’s actually a good teacher otherwise. She’s the kind of person who may or may not know too much and is aware of almost all going ons around her. She alludes to the fact that someone may be trying to break into Beacon to bring it down but most dismiss her as crazy and neurotic.  

Gruff, paranoid. Imagine a female version of Colonel Hunter Gathers. Easy on the gruff and more along the lines of a huskiness.

Mercury Black is an antagonist in Project Yellow. He is an associate of Cinder Fall and partner of Emerald Sustrai.

Mercury is shown to be rather care-free and jokes around when in the company of Emerald, whom he makes an effort to annoy. He seems to opt for excitement and action; he dislikes books without pictures and tells Emerald he finds the city boring. However, when it comes to matters at hand, Mercury drops this and focuses himself on the mission. His carefree attitude however may occasionally slip out during combat During battle, Mercury displays a sense of seriousness and level headedness. He appears to test and gauge his opponent before fully committing to an attack, implying he has a strategic mind. Mercury appears to have no qualms about intimidating others and killing, even light-heartedly joking about it afterward with Emerald. Although subtle, he also speaks in a derogatory fashion about Tukson even after having murdered him in cold blood. This is probably due to his father's tutelage as he was most likely taught in the ways of assassinations. He also seems to derive personal enjoyment from the pain of others. Whether this is for his own self-satisfaction or to put his opponents in an unstable state of mind to take advantage of their emotions is unknown.

merald Sustrai is an antagonist in Project Yellow. She is an associate of Cinder Fall and a partner of Mercury Black.

Emerald initially appears to be affable and disarmingly friendly; however, this belies a darker side of her character. On the whole, she seems to be genuinely outgoing and quick-witted, if a little short-fused. She can also act a little childish or petty, She has a tendency to maintain a pretense of friendliness amongst people in order to gain their trust. Emerald shows a strong sense of loyalty, specifically to Cinder, whom she appears incredibly eager to please. Accordingly, she is willing to take the initiative to impress her, according to Emerald, her loyalty is exclusive to Cinder, rather than to Salem as well, and only complies to her plans and wishes due to owing Cinder "everything".

General James Ironwood is the Headmaster of Atlas Academy, as well as a general in the Atlesian Military and a holder of two seats on the Atlesian Council. We are looking for an impression of the original but feel free to do your own little spin on it. He's serious and diplomatic while genuinely caring about the protection of the world.  

  • Thank you very much, Mr. MAURER. Now in tradition it has been up to the brave huntsmen and huntresses to protect the world from it's surrounding evils. As powerful and plenty as there are they can't be everywhere, that's where these come in... behind me are the AK-130s, they are standard security models that Atlas has transported to all of Remnant.

  • These smarter models will replace the brave men and women who lay their lives on the line, so that these good people don’t have to stand in the line of fire. However, I must say that the trade off is lacking a human touch, but it is the much more preferable option.
