Project Overview
The story: Nick Prescott, CEO of Cybertask, is in charge of creating the world’s first mechanical soldier. When Doctor Sofie Holland makes a mistake during the transfer of DNA, she ends up becoming the only person in the world capable of controlling "Project Nemesis." In the midst of testing Sofie discovers the true, dark intentions behind "Project Nemesis."
About this project: This is a short audiobook reading of “Nemesis,” a 13 page short story I wrote. I plan on posting it to YouTube. You must have discord, because the recording session will be done on a group discord call, and then edited and cleaned up with music, sound effects. As a voice actor you have a lot of Leeway in your performance, I want you to have fun, and I’m willing to take on any level of voice actor for this project, and possibly to read other short stories I have written as well. (With an annoyed and firm tone) You’re either devoted to this cause, or dirty liars. Either way, you work for me.
(With a strict tone) The President wants this robot to be finished by April 30th, 4045, can we accomplish this task? If we hit the ground running, yes. Now, I expect the best…From all of you.
(With an overly confident tone and speaking to a crowd of thousands of people) I believe the creation of Project Nemesis is vital to our survival as the strongest country in the world. Costa Rseylis will not fall, in fact, we have the chance to raise much higher in the world, and I hope you all hear me…I hope you all can trust me…Cybertask will not disappoint you, I promise.
(Sofie is the main character and has both dialogue and internal monologue) Sofie is a scientist working with Cybertask under Nick Prescott’s management. She has very low self confidence due to how strict and overbearing Nick is with his employees. She is very tired and burned out from over working.

(Contemplative) If I can erase the computer’s memory completely, then I can delete all the data on “Project Nemesis.” No wonder Prescott was so nervous and uptight earlier this morning, he knows he can’t spy on me today, and was hoping I wasn’t going to deviate from the script, and just do my job so he could slip his real plan right under my nose. Sly bastard.
(She says this in a very self loathing tone) I’m only here because my DNA got mixed with the controls for Project Nemesis instead of Prescott’s! He hates me! I can see it in the way he looks at me every morning—like—like I’m a fly who hangs around his office that he desperately wants to swat!
I—I can’t believe it, (In a shocked and scared tone) I was told you couldn’t speak.
Model-A (Aka Project Nemesis) is the war machine created by Nick Prescott. He intends to use her to overthrow the government, but she thinks she’s being used to protect the citizens of Costa Rseylis. Model-A sounds a lot like Glados from Portal, kind of an uncanny, almost human sounding voice.

(In a very straightforward tone) I can produce blades from my arms, and I am a mechanical soldier. Soldiers fight to protect the country they serve, so in regards to me wanting to be the way I am, I suppose, yes. I am going to be used to protect the humans of Costa Rseylis.
(say this as if you are malfunctioning) Good soldiers do as they are told, and nothing more, good soldiers do as they are told, and nothing more…
(In a slightly alarmed voice) Taking over the government and committing murder is not part of my protocol. I have been tampered with, and must be destroyed as per code.
Lana is Nick Prescott’s wife. According to the media, she is in love with Nick and they have a great relationship…But behind the scenes she is absolutely miserable, to the point of contemplating murder. She’s very cheery most of the time, but can get very serious.

(In a distraught tone) No, listen to me, I hate him! He’s arrogant, power hungry, and sees me as a show of his wealth!
(Crying) Yes, and I was going to kill him, make the whole situation seem like it backfired on him…Just to rip his ego to shreds, run his name through the dirt for everything he’s done! Everything he thinks he is, Mr. Bigshot!

Guard speaking on the phone: Hello? Ben? Hello? I can’t hear you very well—you’re breaking up! Problem with the ear pieces? Odd, I’m going to go and change mine out, think it’s okay to leave the mistress here alone? Well, if Prescott really did love his wife, he wouldn’t have her working overtime while he eats with the elite in central Costa Rseylis. Alright, I’ll be down in a second.
