Project Hero
Project Overview
Project Hero is an original action-fantasy series centered on power, discrimination, identity, and what it truly means to be a hero.
In a world where supernatural abilities determine social status, powerful families hold enormous influence over society. Those born without abilities are often treated as inferior, their worth judged by something they cannot control. Jin Kuro knows this reality better than anyone.
Born into the prestigious Kuro family, a lineage renowned for its devastating Blackfire, Jin is the only member of his family born without an inherited ability. For years, he is ridiculed, neglected, and abused by the very people who should have protected him. Everything changes when Jin awakens a mysterious ability of his own. Suddenly, the boy his family considered worthless possesses a power that could change his future. But his awakening raises questions he cannot answer, and a strange dream leads him toward Hero University, an elite institution attended by some of the most exceptional individuals in the world. Determined to uncover the truth behind his dream, Jin discovers that earning a place at the university requires more than simply wanting to attend. There are different paths to admission, formidable rivals to overcome, and a world far more complicated than he ever imagined. Meanwhile, powerful individuals pursue their own visions of justice, freedom, and the future of humanity. Their beliefs will challenge Jin's understanding of heroism and force him to confront a question that lies at the heart of the series: If the world judges people by their power, what does it truly mean to be a hero?
