Job Posting: Lead Video Editor (Esports Documentary/Vlog)About the Project
Our organization is looking for a talented, narrative-driven Video Editor to complete a 3-part video series documenting our 2025 Halo Infinite LAN season. We have already released Part 1 (https://youtu.be/lZ2O1fNJqws?si=SzfKHTEhWJDUxD69) and have hours of raw footage from two major tournaments that need to be crafted into one or two compelling long-form videos.
We aren't just looking for a "highlights" editor; we need a storyteller who can capture the grit, the glory, and the personalities of our players and staff.
ResponsibilitiesReview hours of raw LAN footage, including gameplay, "walk-out" B-roll, and candid team moments.
Synthesize a coherent narrative arc that matches the style and quality of the series' first installment.
Synchronize in-game comms with gameplay footage for maximum tension.
Perform high-level color grading and sound design to ensure a "premium" feel.
Create short-form vertical edits (Reels/TikToks) to promote the main releases.
Portfolio: Proven experience editing long-form esports content, documentaries, or high-end vlogs.
Esports Knowledge: Familiarity with Halo Infinite (or competitive FPS) is a major plus. You should understand when a "play" is important.
Software: Proficiency in Capcut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro.
Narrative Pacing: Ability to balance high-action gameplay with slower, emotional character moments.
Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain continuity in music, graphics, and tone across a series.
‼️IMPORTANT: Must provide frequent updates on project progress (mandatory progress meeting 2x per week)
Deliverables: 1x or 2x Long-form videos (15–30 mins) + promotional social clips.
Duration: Estimated 6–8 weeks.
