Project Engram (youtube horror series)
Project Overview
This is a remote voice line submission project for a small analogue horror series just starting out on youtube. We need two new voices for upcoming episodes. Don’t worry about adding any audio effects to your submissions, we will take care of it in-house. Some parts of this story take place in the 2010s, while others are achieved footage from a mysterious company documenting its research between the 1940s and 1960s. If you get the part, I will send you an email letting you know and providing acting advice based off your audition.
Payment: Payment will be delivered using paypal. You will need a paypal account to do this. Each role will have a base pay of $20. Up to $10 extra will be provided as a tip for a particularly good performance. I will provide links for both the payment and a google drive to drop the recording files into.
Credits: You may submit either your real name or username to be included in the credits of the Youtube episode you appear in. On the initial video the credits will be in the description instead of at the end of the video. But the full series supercut (which will come out when the series is complete) will feature a dedicated credits sequence featuring your name.
Film reel Narrator is a deep but smooth male voice reminiscent of old informational film reels from the 1940s and 1950s. He does not express much emotion, but does express some intensity and sternness when talking about safety procedures. He, like you. Does not understand the full meaning of what he is saying, but has been informed the safety procedures section of the film is important. The narrator has a total of 16 lines. All are one to two sentences.
A narrator similar to the one I want can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WW_WbYVlU0

“Do not tamper with the canister, as the internal structure is hazardous to ones health.”
“Let’s look at some glyphs.”
“This is a conduit glyph, it takes in Lumin from the surrounding environment.”
Edith Adler was the head of the Women’s Computing department for Hoffman Communications in the 1950s-60s. She is somewhere in her 30s or 40s at the time of recording. She is frustrated by the demands on her department and makes the recording with a dry and annoyed tone. She also leaves a secret message on the tape, which will be edited in backwards. This message, and the one other voice line relating to it. Are delivered with a sense of urgency. Edith is coordinating with a higher-ranking member of the company named Clair Waterfield to sabotage the research into unnatural forces but is less discrete about it than Clair. Edith has a total of 8 lines, all are one to two sentences.

(Dry and Annoyed) “Hello Ladies, this isn’t exactly formal. I’ve been instructed to throw this presentation together with only Engrams to help me.”
(mocking) “If we had to make these things full size the walls would start looking like the inside of a madhouse.”
(hiding worry) “Oh… and if you see Clair, tell her to play this tape backwards… then destroy it.”
