What Is Project Celestial?
Project Celestial plans to be a third person action adventure game where you play as Maia Galloway. Maia is part of famous family of adventurers and warriors and she feels like she isn’t doing justice to the name of her family. One day she runs away to a place where legend speaks of the most dangerous beings in the world are sealed. In her adventures, Maia must defeat several powerful Celestials.
Your role in this.
We have a few different characters for you to try out and possibly end up playing in the final game. If you don't like any of the characters in this but are interested in the project, keep an eye out as we have more characters we'll be adding eventually.
Please have a decent microphone and preferably be able to edit out any background noise,
Payment
We're currently unable to pay anyone as we're doing this as a passion project and most of us are university students. If we find a source of funds then some sort of payment might be on the table.
Maia Galloway is a young adult who leaves home to fight powerful creatures known as celestials to prove her name. She's springy and often moves before she thinks.
I guess I’ll take you with me. Do you have a name or should I just call you sword?
[Sword replies]
*cheerful* Alright Celes, my name is Maia.
*shocked/confused* W-what? How are you talking?
Next time, can you warn me about important things, like HIS REGENERATION ABILITY?!
[Sword replies]
*slightly annoyed* That doesn’t count as an excuse for not telling me about his ability…
Celes is a talking sword who has been passed down and wielded by numerous adventurers but has been in the same place with the same swordsman for hundreds of years. Celes helps Maia defeat the celestials and provides knowledge about each one and also their backstory.
*intrigued/relieved* Ah finally a new person wields me.
[Maia replies]
*sigh* I can talk because of magic. You just saw someone come out of a statue, surely a talking sword isn’t that crazy anymore.
*shocked* Wait… You’re a Galloway? Oh we’re definitely dead now.
*peaceful* How serene, definitely a nice change of pace. Don’t worry too much about this one Maia, she's not as strong as the rest.
