Sugar, Spice, and everything Nice! ~
In celebration of the new reboot of the PowerPuff Girls coming next year, I'd like to create a comic drama of Bleedman's doujinshi of aforementioned show, otherwise known as Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi or PPGD!
I will be doing only the first two chapters which alone has an abundance of characters just waiting for that right person to bring them to life with their voice, and that person could be you.
If this project is successful, I will continue dubbing not only the rest of the series in the future but also Bleedman's other popular works such as Grim Tales and Sugar Bits. If you have yet to read his comics, then I suggest clicking 'here' to take a look see for yourself.
So lets begin with the rules, shall we?
1. Have a good quality mic, of course.
2. Use emotion!
3. Need Commited Voice Actors! I really don't want to have to go through the process of recasting because I lose contact with someone suddenly or they keep failing to get their lines in on time.
4. Main characters appear and have lines in just about every single chapter and are a part of the story's main focus. Major characters appear less but are considered important characters that help drive the story along or has some sort of special connection with any of the main characters. Minor characters make very few appearances and lines. They are pretty much supporting characters. ((I did this just to help with categorizing everything so yeah...))
5. If this project becomes successful, those that are casted with minor roles will have the ability to audition for other major roles in future auditions for PPGD. This does NOT apply to those that are already casted for major or main roles.
6. You do NOT have to sound exactly like the original voice actors from the original ppg series. I mean it would be a plus if you can pull it off but I know as a voice actress that imitation isn't always better than improvisation. (**coughSailormoonSenglishdubcough**) If I feel your voice gives that character that special element they need then its very possible that I will cast you for the part.
So have fun with it! While it doesn't hurt to try to match the original voice for these characters, Try to also make them your own. Pretend as if E.G Daily or Tara Strong were never casted as Bubbles or Buttercup. I know its hard to do but sometimes it helps.
Don't stress yourself trying to imitate Christine Cavanaugh or Tara Strong, okay?
7. You can either upload your audition below or send them to [redacted]
Sorry to all you Blossom fans but unfortunately, I will be casting myself for the role. Otherwise, good luck!
