Re-opening this project due to slow progress and team members leaving. Also: New position opened for a project manager! While I do want help with the project, I'm not suited for leadership position, and would like help on that front.
Hello everyone!
EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION: I noticed people were applying with rates and employment contracts, and I thought I should clarify: I picked the profit share option for the project because the game doesn't have a budget at this moment. The idea is that if the game is successful, and ends up making money, then, and only then would I be able to split profits with the people involved. So anyone applying should still think of this as a volunteer position. Also, while the project isn't 18+, I would prefer having adults working on the project, for safety concerns.
I am requesting help in polishing and finishing my solo project: Pouchie The Cat. It started off as a college assignment, but after a while, I continued to develop and expand the game beyond a mere concept. Now the game is much further along in it's progress, and has even reached the point where about half of the levels and boss battles have been completed. You can even play the game yourself and see the progress that has been made: https://thatelfnerd.itch.io/pouchie-the-cat-public-demo
But I feel like the game could evolve and improve if I had a few extra sets of hands. Artists, musicians, as well as other people with a talent in game design and game development. Since this is a small indie game, I can't promise a big payout, if any. But if people end up financially supporting the project, and I can split it amongst the crew, I absolutely will. Translation: Anyone applying should consider this to be volunteer work, since the project currently has no budget. But if you're more interested in gaining experience and connections making an indie game, then feel free to share what talent you think you can offer the team! We're happy to have you!
Anyone joining the project will get their names in the credits, and can use their time working on the project as work experience when updating their resume. Please note that we do NOT accept Machine Learning/AI submissions. We want ethically-sourced art and music.
IMPORTANT NOTE: While there is only one role per position, I'll absolutely take more than one person per role, if I feel like we need the extra hands. So I won't officially close any of the roles until I'm sure we've got all the talent that we need. So don't be afraid to submit an application, even if others have already applied for the role. You might get picked regardless. That being said, all project communication will be done on discord, so please share your discord information!
