Porcelain Dolls (Audio Drama)
Project Overview
Porcelain Dolls
No one is surprised when drug deals start taking place in a low income high school. What's shocking is when one discovers the drug dealers are three teenage girls. The Slone sisters have been moving from high school to high school for several years completing tasks for their drug dealer father. The only thing is: they're sick of it. They want to be normal kids, but if one of them comes clean, its game over for all of them. When one sister discovers her friend is related to a detective, its looking like that might come true.
The story is going to be in the form of a podcast/audio drama, and is told by the sister's friend Austin, who happens to get mixed up in the situation.
This project is just for fun and won't be for pay; however, there is one paid job available, The Artist, who will be in charge of designing the cover for the podcast.

Austin is your typically awkward nerdy main character. He's extremely obsessed with theatre and has a huge crush on Evie. He's sweet and a good kid, he just happens to be friends with the wrong people. Mia and Emma refer to him as Austie.
(Higher pitched voice that occasionally cracks)
N-no! I think your beautiful-I mean I think your perfect for the part!
YES! I mean-uh-I'd love to help you out. In fact, follow me, I have an idea..
What! That's ridicules! How could you even say that? Their just-well girls! Why would they do somethi...look Mia. I know your mad at her but is this really a reason to spread rumors like that?
Austin's twin sister. She has a playful personality and likes to tease her brother a lot; however she isn't mean. She tends to be a less serious person in general but when it counts she can be considerate and serious. Emma and Austin refer to Mia as Memes.
(She has a medium pitched voice)
Why don't we get Austie one of these pink dress things for the dance, we can call him Audrey, Evie will love it I'm sure.
Don't make me be the parental figure here dude; how many times do I have to say I told you so.
Alright, that's not cool. Yeah my brother is really awkward and nerdy, and he wet the bed until he was 8, but he's a person too!
Evie is the youngest sister and she is sick of dealing with her fathers tasks. She desperately wants to be a normal teen and will ignore more of her fathers requests. She uses a theatre kid persona to mask her connections with her sisters. She comes of as sweet and optimistic but can be manipulative when trying to hide the truth
(Evie has a slightly higher pitched voice but not at the level of anime characters.)
*Giggles* No I think it's cute. Do me a favor, will you? Can you help me audition for the show? I'd love to do it really I would!
Well I figure, I might as well do theatre cuz I like to sing and stuff and.. there's nothing wrong with it! If anything it makes me less obvious!
Come on! Do you really want to live your whole life like this? We could be anything we wanted but by following his orders it's just like digging our own grave.
Clare is the middle sister. She tends to be a lot quieter then her sisters but will do what they say. She isn't comfortable with helping her father but does it out of fear. She tries to hide her fears through a confident, girl-next-door type persona. Despite her discomfort, she will stand up against her father and Ann if things get too grim.
(She has a softer voice with a medium pitch)
I don't think becoming friends with them is a good idea-what if they find something out?
You know I don't like them but what choice do we have? If we stand up to them now we'll end up in much bigger trouble then doing the "operations" could ever get us into.
Just because we keep switching schools doesn't mean I can't try to get a little bit out of the ones we go to.
Ann is the oldest of the three sisters and she is committed to their task. She will do anything to get the job done, even if that means hurting her own sisters. She's bold and manipulative, to her peers she comes of as domineering and sexy.
(Her voice is deeper and more mature)
One little drink won't kill a fly, come on anyone else would stay, you don't wanna miss a chance like this do you...?
Ahh come on baby, do I really seem like the kinda girl to be caught up in all the crap?
We're here for one reason and one reason alone, there's no point in getting caught up with those kids you'll end up getting yourself caught.
Emma is a very shy and sensitive sad bean; however, when it comes to theatre she's a completely different person and she could rant all day if you let her. She's only comfortable when she's around Mia and Austin. The rest of her small friend group refers to her as Emmy. Emma is also sweet and very considerate to her friends but when she is standing up for them she can be slightly more confident in herself and protective. Her Mom is also the head detective but her Mom is very different to Emma's particular personality.
(She has a very soft shy voice with a medium pitch and not too high that it's anime girl level)
N-no I'm really sorry gah I just want to make sure you don't end up hurting yourself.
Well..there kinda my only friends so-oh god I'm sorry that was rude of course your my friend too ugh.
W-hat! How could you say that! Classic movie musicals are well....classics!
One of the kids helping the sisters and their father complete operations. He does not like what he is doing with the girls father but does not have much of a choice, as their is good money behind it, and he needs to support his family.
I don't really have a choice. My options are let the people I care about die or break a couple rules, the answers obvious.
You know what they are, their his dolls, he dresses them up all nice and stuff and plays with them until their arms break off or the dog chews them up. He doesn't really care.
She is a detective who is working at figuring out the mysterious drug system that seems to be taking place at the school. She is also Emma's mother. She has bold and strict personality and is focused on getting the job done.
(Low pitched voice)
If there's one thing I've learned from this job it's that there are no coincidences when it comes to catching the bad guy.
This world is simple. It's made up of good and evil, black and white. You're not going to catch a murder who's also an environmental activist, it just doesn't happen.
The girls father. He cares about one thing: making money. He uses his connections to get drugs across the border then uses his daughters to bring them into high schools across the country.
You've already done this at 10 schools! Whys this one make a difference to you?
Of course I care about them, their my kids, I just figure, there ain't much a guy like me can do to support them on his own, this is my best bet.
Come on honey, we're talking about our daughters here: who would suspect three little girls like them to be involved in this kinda operation?
This person will design the cover art for the final product. Please submit an example of your art. (This job will be paid)
