Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: The Mini Musical
Project Overview
Welcome to the wonderful world of Pokemon!
Hey guys, my name is CharaDreamer55, and I'm a small-time content creator interested in diversifying her content. So, a few months ago in October of 2020, I came up with the concept of a series of lyric videos for one of my favourite games of all time: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. After some thought and many, many, rewrites, revisions, and demo tracks, I think that I'm finally ready to open up the project for auditions!
So what exactly is this project, you ask? This project is dedicated towards taking songs from the PMD: EoS soundtrack and putting lyrics, visuals, and voices into them, to create "lyric videos"! I'll be looking for all sorts of different characters and voices who can both act and sing - remember, this is as much of a voice acting project as a singing one! I'd like to bring the world of PMD: EoS to life through the medium of song, in a "musical-style" format inspired by other Youtubers like Man on the Internet and Juno Songs, who also work with a similar concept.
So, as you can see by scrolling down to look at the many character roles I'm looking to fill, I'm in need of both male and female singers and voice actors who can really embody of these video game characters. Overall, there are going to be 6 songs in the Mini Musical, which are all in need of people to sing them, of course! But of course, there are a few requirements I'm looking for:
- Please make sure that you have a Discord account, as that will be our main form of communication!
- I'd prefer it if you're over 13, as Discord's age requirement is this, but this may be subject to change depending on the circumstances.
- Make sure that your microphone is good quality, with no pops or whistles, and with minimal audio processing. I want to hear your clear, unfiltered voice.
- I'd prefer it if you have some prior knowledge about the PMD games, of course!
- This project will contain slight spoilers for the original game, so make sure you're okay with that!
- This project is UNPAID and VOLUNTARY. In an ideal world, I would pay you, but I'm a 19-year-old college dropout who's channel isn't monetised yet.

Audrey is a human-turned-Pokemon...wait, what?! After waking up on the beach as a Vulpix, Audrey is determined to find out why exactly she ended up here, and why her "Dimensional Scream" ability allows her to see and listen to past and future events. Who was she before she turned into a Vulpix? And why can't she remember anything? She journeys alongside her friend Katie to discover the truth.
[She's shocked, as she just learnt that if she saves the world, she will be erased from history alongside the other Pokemon from the Dark Future. She's in disbelief.]
"W-What?! If history is changed...Pokemon of the future will disappear? Grovyle! Is Dusknoir...is he telling the truth?"

Katie is a lonely Eevee with not many friends, but is motivated by her singular dream of joining an exploration team and exploring the world, making new discoveries and meeting all sorts of different people. However, this is a double-edged sword, as she is a massive coward. She has trouble standing up for herself and facing her fear of failure, but with the help of her new friend Audrey, she become more confident and determined to fufill her goal and help her friend regain her memories in the process.
[After failing to face her fears, Katie goes down to the beach to calm herself down and take in the view. She's resigned, but refuses to give up hope just yet.]
"This is where I always come when I'm feeling sorry for myself. But it makes me feel good to be here, like always. Coming here is uplifting...it cheers me up."

"Grovyle is a powerful and skilled warrior. He's also willing to do anything to alter the dark future in which he lived, even if it meant dying himself or outright killing others, as he nearly killed Azelf and the partner when they stood between him and a Time Gear.
As Dusknoir pointed out in the Special Episode In the Future of Darkness, Grovyle is shown to be rather innocent in nature, especially after he was attacked with Ice Shard by a group of three Snorunt over on Frozen Island as a prank, easily angering Grovyle; however, he also pointed out how Grovyle's innocence also shields him from being influenced by the future's darkness, indicating a strong will that exists within Grovyle. Grovyle's strong will seems to be his main driving force in restoring the dark future to what it once was. Grovyle seems to be very motivational to those around him, especially when he was able to get to Dusknoir, after recovering from battling four Glalie and a Mamoswine, changing his dark and evil ways, slowly allowing Dusknoir to redeem himself; the same thing could be said with the six Sableye when Grovyle motivates and persuades the Sableye to change their ways, as their changes of heart helped spare Dusknoir from Primal Dialga's wrath."
[Grovyle sounds resigned, as he explains to his old friend what will happen after the world is saved - they'll disappear.]
"We came from the future fully accepting what would happen to us. But...the way you are now, you don't remember that resolve. I know this is coming as a great shock to you. But we have no choice in the matter, either way."

"As it was first observed once he arrived into the player's present, Dusknoir appears to be very knowledgeable and warm with everyone he interacted with in Treasure Town and extended his knowledge and warmth to Wigglytuff's Guild; however, this is only a facade. Dusknoir's true personality is that he is a Pokémon bent on making sure the future stays as dark as twisted and will go to no ends to make sure this goal is achieved. Dusknoir's true nature is foreshadowed as he appeared to faintly smile (only observed by the player) when the player revealed their name to him at the beach when the player and their partner show Dusknoir where the player was found.
Dusknoir's nature is expanded in the Special Episode In the Future of Darkness where he revealed to Grovyle that all he wants is to exist without disappearing prematurely (via restoring the Time Gears and time in the past). Dusknoir revealed to have an intense hatred for Grovyle, evidenced by when he was about to advance upon him after returning to the future, but that changed after Dusknoir saved Grovyle from a falling chunk of ice suspended in midair, albeit part of a secret plan, and Grovyle had a heart-to-heart with Dusknoir. Dusknoir's twisted personality dissipated once Grovyle was about to lose his life and came to his rescue and changed his ways to help Grovyle and Celebi stop Primal Dialga from causing unthinkable calamities by crossing through a Passage of Time.
Regardless of his being an antagonist or a partner to Grovyle, Dusknoir is shown to have a great amount of loyalty to one he chooses to be aligned with, indicating him to be something of a follower than a leader, but after he changes his heart, he shows a great deal of dedication to helping Grovyle and Celebi restore the future."
[Dusknoir has just outsmarted the heroes, and believes he has finally won. He almost finds this funny, and can't keep a smile off his face.]
"It's quite simple, actually. I had Master Dialga warp us here directly. After all, I knew that you would inevitably come here. Waiting here spared us the bother of having to search for you." [He laughs.]

"Sunflora often acts very hyper and excitable, using terms like "Oh my gosh" frequently when speaking. Underneath her girly exterior, however, she is very kind and loyal to her guild members, shown when she saved part of her dinner along with the other guild members to present to the player and partner when they had been denied dinner."
[Sunflora is determined, as she stands up for her friends after they were blamed for something they didn't do.]
"There is something I don't understand. That time, when the Great Dusknoir was returning to the future...What Dusknoir did then...it was strange, no matter which way you look at it."

"Bidoof is seen as a kind, helpful Pokémon, that is loyal, and will believe his friends, as observed when he was the first to declare that he believed the player's partner's story about Dusknoir. His lacking experience at exploring and status as one of the most junior members of the guild is a recurring element in his character portrayal, and gets him into trouble multiple times, such as when he reveals the guild members during the player's graduation exam. His big appetite is noted on several occasions. He often uses the interjection "by golly", and frequently punctuates his dialogue with the phrase "yup yup", which he also includes in the title of his diary."
[Bidoof is giving the new recruits a tour of the guild hall, and starts to explain Croagunk's purpose, slightly suspicious of him.]
"Here...we have Croagunk. But to tell the truth, I have no idea what that Pokemon's up to...He always seems to be fiddling around with that big cauldron in the back there. It's all a mystery to me, yup yup!"

"Skuntank is the leader of Team Skull, a band of thieves. When he first appears, he uses his stench to knock out the player. With Koffing, he can perform a noxious gas combo attack, and uses that to knock out the player's team with a horrible stench several times over the course of the game, but this fails against Wigglytuff later on. Toward the end of the game when he steals the Relic Fragment, his team's lives are saved by the player's team and he gives the relic back."
[Skuntank is introducing himself, and acting like he's all high and mighty, talking condescendingly to Audrey and Katie.]
"And I'm Team Skull's leader. I'm Skuntank. Remember it. Especially you two." [He laughs.]

"Apparently, Celebi has feelings for Grovyle, which are shown when the player and the partner are trapped in the future, even blushing when the player talks to her. Right before they both vanish in the morning sun after defeating Primal Dialga at the Vast Ice Mountain Peak, Grovyle holds Celebi in his arms as they watch the future's first sunrise, with Celebi commenting that she had never seen such a beautiful sight before."
[The group have just been surrounded, and Celebi is determined, as she refuses to get herself captured.]
"Oh? Apologies don't suit your style, my dear Grovyle. And do you honestly think I can be caught?" [She giggles]
