I think we're all aware that Pokemon Legends: Arceus would've been SO much better if it even had a bit of voice-acting (and maybe a tiny bit more effort from Gamefreak too), whether it was all the way in the beginning with Adaman and Irida's arguments, or all the way in the endgame with Volo's betrayal. That's why I've been setting up this Project- I want to take the main game, like the main story quests alongside any sidequests the chosen VAs want to voice over and get it some proper voice acting since I haven't spotted a full Legends Arceus fandub anywhere.
I personally love this game, so I'd love to finally replay it and work together with a bunch of awesome people to finally give it the voice it so deserves! We know the story already, the main protagonist I've decided is going to be named Dawn. I'm thinking maybe 8-9 big episodes, each enveloping the storyline of one area, like an episode for the prologue/tutorial hell, an episode for the Obsidian Fieldlands and Kleavor, an episode for the Crimson Mirelands and Lilligant, and all the way at the end an episode for the postgame, and then a mini-episode for endgame legends and Arceus.

The final eight roles (and volunteers for extra voices) will go on up until our deadline, being checked in on and casted every 20 days. The characters on this final wave are Anthe, Pesselle, Lian, Arezu, Charm, Coin, Cogita, and The Lake Guardians. Stay tuned!
With a flood of auditions coming in, a flurry of new characters have been added to Wave 2- the day the wave 2 picks will happen has also been moved up to the 20th, and will instead occur every 20 days following 9/20/2024!
Without further ado though, the characters that will also be casted are as follows; Professor Laventon, Irida, Clover, Palina, Mai, Zisu, Ingo, and Cyllene!
The first wave of picking and choosing is done, and that's seven roles with chosen actors! Be sure to give them a "congrats"! A lot of these roles seemed highly sought-out for, but now it's time for our second set of characters on the chopping block!
These characters are Dawn, Kamado, Iscan, Melli, and Sabi!
Three more characters have been added to the first deadline! The VAs getting the role of Beni, Calaba, and Gaeric will also be decided on August 31st.
Alright, so to kinda motivate people to shoot for other roles too, like the wardens, I've decided that at the end of every month up to the deadline day, I'll go through and pick who best fits a role out of the auditions for it.
For example, I think there are maybe four-five people going for Rei right now. At the end of the month, since his role has more than one audition (Or someone who I believe REALLY fits the role) I'd go through and choose someone from the auditions as that character, to bring priority to some roles. Once those roles are gone, it'll bring attention to others.
That's all I wanted to say for this! The first "picking and choosing" will take place on August 31st, and the roles on the chopping block will be: Arceus, Rei, Volo, and Adaman. If you want to quickly try out for these roles before they're unavailable, feel free to! Though there are other roles still open with 0 auditions, so I'd recommend giving those a try as well!
The mostly silent main character of the game, Dawn's been dragged through time by God in order to assist the Hisui region in a little calamity they're about to go through. She doesn't talk much, but does have lines when there are choices to be made. Initially she starts off taking things a bit lightly and maybe a touch timidly, but as her adventure in Hisui continues she begins melding with the society, toughening up, and becoming more serious.

The Alpha Pokemon himself- Arceus! My take on him is that he is NOT a benevolent, smiling god like he initially is in the anime, rather he's a stoic-speaking neutral party that does as he feels when he recognizes something must be done, like bringing Dawn into the past to save Hisui. I imagine him to have a low, booming, attention-calling voice potentially with some manner of echoing effect? But I'm open to however you play him! He also speaks exclusively in Old English so beware.
"Welcome to my realm, located beyond both time and space. I am that which humans call Arceus."
"Dawn... Soon thou shalt find thyself in a world strange to thee... a world inhabited by wondrous creatures humans call 'Pokemon'."
"Dawn... Seek out all Pokemon, and thou shalt find me once more."
The Commander of the Galaxy Team and most likely the leader of Jubilife Village as well. He's gruff and serious, speaking in a dignified tone, being strictly professional at all times. Through and through though, he seems to be a soldier at heart with a love for battle, both of the Pokemon sort and hand-to-hand. All in all, he wishes for a bright future for Jubilife Village and Hisui entirely.
"I have been waiting for you! I am Kamado, commander of the Galaxy Expedition Team!"
"I've been briefed on your situation, including how you fell from the rift in the sky. Now then... Let's see what you're made of! Face me in combat!"
"All of you, we must vacate this— GAH! Forget the fancy talk! Book it! C'mon! We gotta make it back to the Summit Camp while we still can! We need to leave... before this other almighty Sinnoh decides it wants to fight us!"
Initially giving the vibes of a cranky old man, Beni is the owner of a small restaurant in Jubilife Village called 'The Wallflower', being popular for Beni's potato mochi. Though he's a bit cold to Dawn initially, when she continually stops by the restaurant with Laventon and Rei, he eventually warms up to her. Behind the restaurant though, Beni happens to be Kamado's right-hand.
"The Wallflower's for Galaxy Team folk only. We don't have seats for outsiders. Move along!" //Bitterly//
"Found her by the scent of my mochi, did you? Of course you did. When you have my level of skill, your handiwork can be recognized from a mile away."
"I'll make myself plain. As Kamado's right hand, I'm charged with executing all the gritty deeds Kamado can't or won't do himself. I gave him my word I'd get rid of any fools that might dream of getting in the way of his plans." //Dropping the "old man voice" and picking up a smoother, more sophisticated voice. Think like a stereotypical ninja, like Espio from Sonic the Hedgehog, but much older.//
The stoic, nigh-unfeeling captain of the Galaxy Team's Survey Corps. At a constant her face is unchanging and her tone is flat, blank, and serious- even still, through her words she does show that she cares for her corps, whether she hints at it or outright says it. Despite her over-all seriousness, she is DEATHLY afraid of Pokemon, the only one she trusts is her Abra who she still distances at times.
"I am the captain of the Galaxy Team's Survey Corps. You may call me Cyllene."
"That a stranger like you should fall from the sky and yet flourish among us like this is a testament to your native talent and hard work."
"Gyah! A-Abra! Teleport this Wurmple outside! At once!" //Frightened//
The brilliant professor of the Hisui Region working tirelessly to create the world's very first Pokedex, with Dawn's help of course. Some call him absent-minded, others call him goofy, but he is truly a fundamental part of the Galaxy Expedition Team and a brilliant man in his own right. Though, brilliant as he may be, he is cautious with his research as he's most likely very afraid of most Pokemon.
"Well, we know this much... Pokemon are terrifying creatures!"
"Oh, but I do apologize! I haven't even introduced myself! My name is Laventon. I am something of a Pokemon Professor! That is to say, I'm a scholar seeking to deepen our understanding of Pokemon."
"Oh, blast and bother! My darling Pokemon! Why must you run from me again?!"
A Hisuian boy Rei's age that looks resemblant of Dawn's friend Lucas. He's a member of the Galaxy Team Survey Corps very often working alongside Laventon to fill out his Pokedex, though he's not all that confident in his Pokemon-catching abilities. Not even his own partner Pikachu will listen to him!
"Three more of 'em got away just a while ago! If I hadn't been resting up after some Pokémon drubbed me with a move called Thunder Shock, I'd have corralled 'em for sure. But the professor, well..."
"Sure, they're all over the place. In the grass, in the forests, in the ocean... It's up to us in the Survey Corps to study them and figure out what kind of creatures they are."
"But watching you at work completing those research tasks convinced me. If I want to do my Survey Corps work well, my partner and I have got to be a team. And our first step toward being a real team... is to battle your team!"
Anthe is the dainty clothier of Jubilife Village. She's very interested in fashion, and if it were up to her she'd be taking Dawn in as her own protege with how "interesting" her fashion choices were when she first arrived.
"I've never seen clothes quite like yours, hon. Where might they be from?"
"Well done earning a place in our team. My name is Anthe. I'm the local clothier. The professor asked that I ready you a change of clothes, so here you go! I do hope they fit."
The captain of the Security Corps, Zisu is no stranger to a battle or fight of any kind. She often trains people and Pokemon in the art of combat, being someone more comfortable around Pokemon, powerful or not.
"The name's Zisu. Captain of the Security Corps. I see you've got some fight in you. Figured I'd stop by and give what advice I could."
"Strong style moves, agile style moves, and of course, regular moves... Choose which is right for a given situation, and direct your Pokémon with a little nudge."
A nurse working in the Galaxy Team's medical corps. She's very knowledgeable when it comes to medicine, as to be expected. She's very direct and determined, her shouting from the infirmary often able to be heard from the main lobby of the Galaxy Team Headquarters. Oftentimes, she acts similarly to someone's mother with the lectures she gives. Her dialogue is still mostly just used as a way to rectify the fact that "Pokemon are terrifying creatures".
"Don't give up! Keep those eyes open!" //She's saving a life in this moment.//
"This is what happens when you go so far afield! But the Medical Corps will put you to rights."
The chief of the Pearl Clan. She tends to be very cautious. Once she starts arguing, debating, defending an opinion, any of that? She'll keep going until she's sure her point is proven. She absolutely hates Adaman, especially earlier on in the story.
"I'm Irida, leader of the Pearl Clan! Caution and foresight are my watchwords. Which is why I have trouble believing such a tale. Could you really have passed through that rift?"
"But even I still have my doubts about whether we should entrust such a thing to an outsider. These Galaxy Team people don't share our customs or our values."
"I don't see how we could, as long as you and you clan cling to your vision of an almighty Sinnoh that reigns over time. Forgive my bluntness, but if such a being even does exist, it's certainly not almighty Sinnoh."
A warden of the Pearl Clan. He's confident in himself, despite his very young age and status as the Pearl Clan's youngest warden. He doesn't like to be babied or underestimated. He's still a kid at the end of the day, so when he's not being responsible, he finds the powerful, frenzied nobles pretty cool actually.
"I'm Lian of the Pearl Clan. The warden to Kleavor, Lord of the Woods."
"Perhaps that strange lightning the other day was almighty Sinnoh's divine power... But whatever it was, it struck my lord and left him imbued with awesome might! So I must turn you away, even if it pains me. It's too dangerous for you to meet Kleavor right now."
"Hisui's ores and stones are her precious resource! Since I was the first to realize that fact, it's only natural that I should be the first consulted!"
A warden of the Pearl Clan. She's very stubborn and doesn't like getting help, often not liking to give help either. She's rather old-fashioned as well and still doesn't take very well to the Diamond Clan. Oftentimes no matter what someone does, good or bad, she'll find a way to scold them.
"I'm Calaba of the Pearl Clan. Warden Calaba to you."
"I don't need any help from your sort. Or the Diamond Clan, for that matter. That young lady, Arezu, offered to help, but associating with the Diamond Clan... It just won't do."
"I suppose it means people helping each other, like how you helped retrieve the fragment. I've read this passage many, many times. But this is the first time I've truly understood what it means. Maybe this is almighty Sinnoh's guidance?"
A warden of the Pearl Clan. She tends to act very maternal to both the Pokemon she cares for as well as the people, as she's raised much of her clan, including its leader. She tends to take this too far and occasionally babies Irida, forgetting her status as the Clan Chief. She's secretly having an affair with Iscan.
"I'm Palina of the Pearl Clan. And who might you be?"
"There are those who expect me to train him more strictly and force lordship upon him before he is ready...but I could never bring myself to do that."
"I'm sure Dawn can keep a secret. Besides, both I and the Growlithe pups were eager to meet with the great Basculegion again."
Ingo is a warden of the Pearl Clan who also fell from the sky, like Dawn did. He's lost his memory, though remembers small slivers of his past- or, future perhaps. He's very focused and to the point when it comes to instructions. He also enjoys Pokemon Battling more than the average clan member or even Galaxy Team member.
"I am the warden Ingo. I understand you'll need a hand from Sneasler in order to meet Electrode. Whether she'll see fit to help you, however, we can only find out by making the journey. Now, let's have a safe journey to Mount Coronet! All aboard!"
"I'm starting to recall a man who looked... like me. We'd battle and discuss Pokémon, I think... The words "I like winning more than anything else" flashed through my mind just now..." //Reminiscent//
"Bravo! Excellent!"
A warden of the Pearl Clan. He's a powerful and confident man, stubborn in his own right. He doesn't usually back down until successfully proven wrong, often putting argumenters up to tests and trials if they truly wish to get their way.
"I am Gaeric. I serve as one of the Pearl Clan's wardens."
"Outstanding! I'm tough as an iceberg, but you smashed me through and through!"
"Seems you worked up a good sweat. Nice job! Don't go repeating this to Avalugg, but I can tell he's excited to meet you in battle again soon."
The chief of the Diamond Clan. He's cool and chill, yet absolutely not afraid to get sarcastic when he feels like it. He could come up with a thousand insults to taunt Irida with. Especially early into the story, he hates her. He thinks he's soooooo cool.
"Look who's being punctual! Finally realized you're wasting almighty Sinnoh's precious time by bowing to a sham?"
"Good to finally meet you, stranger from the rift! I'm "Adaman, leader of the Diamond Clan," if you want to be formal! But that's a mouthful. Just call me Adaman."
"Right. Of course... After all the work you've put in to get us to treat one another as equals and keep us from fighting... I suppose it's no surprise you'd refuse to intervene if trouble were to break out again."
A warden of the Diamond Clan of Hisui. She assisted in raising Adaman and acts a bit like an older sister to him and others as well. She's often found to be calm and collected, and is very close with her partner Pokemon, Munchlax.
"I am one of the wardens of the Diamond Clan. You may call me Mai."
"You and your Pokémon fought well together! You practically acted as one with them. Rather like the legendary hero of old... The one we tell stories of to our children."
"This is Deertrack Heights... This is where I've long come to pay tribute to a special Pokémon—a Pokémon descended from one of those ancients blessed by almighty Sinnoh."
A warden of the Diamond Clan and a professional hairdresser. She's confident in herself and doesn't want to cause trouble for people, so she tries to take things off of other people's plates and stack them up onto her own without telling them she did, usually leading to unpleasant results.
"I'm Arezu, by the way! I'm a warden of the Diamond Clan. My special skill is giving haircuts. Real nice to meet you!"
"My luck's run out, though...as you can most likely tell. I got chased by a Pokémon and sprained my ankle pretty bad as I was running away. It's almost like the world wants to punish me..."
"Oh, I'm still gonna be Lilligant's warden and all. I'll be burnin' the candle at both ends, but I can make it work—don't you worry!"
A warden of the Diamond Clan. He's frequently a loner who quite enjoys his life alone in the Cobalt Coastlands, his home on Aipom Hill giving him a closer proximity to both his lord, Basculegion, and the woman he loves, Palina. He is unfortunately a bit of a coward when it comes to ghosts, and tends to be very flighty at times.
"So, um... I'm Iscan of...of the Diamond Clan..."
"W-wow, is everyone in the Galaxy Team like you? Your nerves aren't just steel... They're...titanium. It's positively frightening how, um, fearless you are."
"P-please, I do hope you're joking... I'm easily scared as it is. What am I to do if I start hearing the cries of ghosts all the time?"
A warden of the Diamond Clan. AND A BITCH. That's it.
"Awww, come on! Is it ME you're trying to humiliate here or our entire clan? Besides, do you really think this flimsy little noodle can quell Electrode?"
"Really, you should do us all a favor and slink back home to that village of yours, rather than persist in this folly. And with that...bon voyage!"
"Heh. You've a great deal more pluck than you have sense, I'll give you that. A word of advice: don't stop moving while you're battling Electrode, or you'll be dead in no time!" //Sarcastically//
A warden of the Diamond Clan. She's very clearly a mischievous little kid, playing games with her Braviary and unsuspecting people who don't know what kind of wild goose chase they're getting into. She claims to have clairvoyance that lets her see into the future. Sabi also tends to bring up bifurcated statements, like "Hmmm, maybe you're okay with him! Or maybe you downright hate him!"
"Hello, my name's Sabi! Nice to meet you, Dawn! I've heard about you. You're super talented, right? I bet you're gonna be fun to play with!"
"But the question is... did you catch me? Or did I let myself get caught? Hmmm?"
"It's nice having someone new out here to play with. Safety in numbers or something like that!"
Charm is the eldest of the Miss Fortune Sisters, formerly being part of the Galaxy Expedition team before taking on a life of larceny. She's often the group's tactician and plans burglaries.
"I bring good luck to my sisters wherever I go—and ill luck to anyone who crosses our paths. I'm the eldest, and I'll be your unlucky Charm!"
"Goodness, how selfless of you—to go so far out of your way for the sake of another." //Sarcastically//
"We're the infamous bandit trio, the Miss Fortune sisters—and your luck's just run out!"
The middle child of the Miss Fortune Sisters. Clover is rash and reckless, usually immediately opting for a quick and easy fight with her trusty Abomasnow to get the job done. She was formerly a member of the Diamond Clan. She isn't good with criticism, even from her own "sisters".
"Thought you spotted a four-leaf clover? Well, I'll soon have you seeing double! I'm the middle sister, and I'm one Clover you can't pick!"
"Y'know Abomasnow can't fight at full power in crazy heat like this! It wasn't a fair battle... We were basically goin' easy on you! In fact, how dare you make poor Abomasnow battle in such a stupidly hot place!"
"We're the infamous bandit trio, the Miss Fortune sisters—and your luck's just run out!"
The youngest of the Miss Fortune Sisters. Coin is smart, often calling out the mistakes her sisters make both during battles and during heists. She was formerly part of both the Pearl Clan and the Galaxy Team. She drills failures on her own part deep into her head. Aside from her smarts, she also tends to act quite cruel when facing opponents.
"Heads, I win, and tails, you lose—you've got no chance in this game of fortunes. I'm the youngest, Coin, but I'm definitely not your good-luck piece."
"Hmph. The Galaxy Team continues to spoil things for me, even after I've left. Take the blasted fragment and go. Just leave us alone!"
"We're the infamous bandit trio, the Miss Fortune sisters—and your luck's just run out!"
Appears to be a common merchant traveling alongside the Ginkgo Guild. He takes quite the interest in mythology, as does his descendant. Volo is very often happy and cheery, though does have moments of becoming deeply thoughtful and curious. There's certainly more hiding behind that cheery however, as Volo also tends to descend into obsession, especially with that of Arceus.
//P.S., with Volo's whole evil plan monologue, I'd LOVE it if you could be loud and shout like "YES HAHA GOD WILL BE MINE" so if you audition for this role, make sure you can shout like a deranged psychopath for extended periods of time. "Oh? What a curious getup you have there. I can already tell you're quite the character! I'm Volo of the Ginkgo Guild, the go-to choice for any of your mercantile needs here in Hisui!"
"Now, what kind of world do you suppose stretches out on the other side of the rift? My guess is that it is almighty Sinnoh's realm... But then that begs the question: Why has the space-time rift opened, when it closed once so long ago? And why would Dawn have fallen through to us? There's just so much we don't know..."
"I've devoted myself to Arceus beyond any other! I worshiped it as the creator of our entire world! I bent all of my passion and interest to its study! All the time I've spent poring over the legends... Everything that I've done! You outsider! It's almost as if you were spat out of the space-time rift just to get in my way!"
A wise "old" woman living alone in the ancient retreat. She's a descendant of the Celestica People who are destined to lead a Lost One to the path they must take in order to find the red chain and mend the world. She speaks in a very sophisticated manner at all times, and is even so dignified to have had tea with a legendary Pokemon.
"No "mistress," thank you. Just Cogita. And this is?"
"Kindly spare me your doubts, young man. I know the old words and what they bid us do. How true they are isn't mine to know. And regardless of their truth, I am bound to pass them on. How callous of my ancestors–to leave their legends to their children without a single thought for the hardship it would cause them! But...here we are. You know your duty, and you'll do it. Won't you?"
"I must say, this is quite the intriguing village... Perhaps I'll have a look around before I go—see what your clothier has on offer."
The Three Lake Guardians of Hisui needed to bring the Red Chain into being. These guys technically have cutscenes with non-Pokespeech dialogue, so they're here.
"Show to me unyielding will. Strike me, if you can." //Azelf//

The various other villagers of Jubilife Village, the Diamond Clan, and the Pearl Clan. Mostly just the NPCs with dialogue that share models, like members of the Security Corps. These characters are kinda just "average joes", not particularly anyone's ancestor. This role is mostly for the villagers talking about Dawn as she walks in and out of town in cutscenes, as well as a couple of specific villagers with dialogue. ALSO THE WURMPLE QUEST GUY. He's like the only quest I'll do.
