Project Overview
Hi there! Thank you for your interest!
For a Team Rocket cosplay skit I'm doing this Summer, I'm after a small cameo voice part from Giovanni. The idea is that Jessie and James sneak onto stage in really crappy disguises (ie fedoras, moustaches on sticks, capelets - the works), and start doing their motto. Cutting us off halfway through is an exasperated Giovanni who calls up, absolutely roasts us, and sets us up for the doom and gloom of the rest of the skit. (Which will be the song 'Best at Being the Worst' from Pokemon Live. Hence the 'something you're best at being' line. Ahahah I am comedic gold)
The skit will be uploaded in high quality in late July/early August on YouTube.
Direction:
This needs to be pretty punchy and snappy, just because of time restraints. Try and deliver all of these lines in no more than 20 seconds.
In terms of his voice, I know he's had a few different incarnations over the years, so I don't really have a preference in how he sounds - think Ted Lewis' regal and authoritative version as a baseline.
In terms of pacing, put a little more emphasis on the 'until you can find something that you’re the best at being' - as mentioned above, it forms part of the 'hook' of the skit. You don't have to make it too obvious - just don't totally rush over it. :)
