Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney − Justice for All Fan Dub [1 Feminine voice needed for role recast]

What is this?

Back in 2020 I did a listing here on CCC for a "cinematic" fan dub of "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney- Justice for All" which has been edited and framed in such a way to try and remove most, if not all, of the gameplay elements such as the UI, text boxes, etc in an attempt to make the experience less invasive and more "cinematic" in a sense.

Unfortunately, the talent filling the role of Regina Berry has encountered some obstacles they could not overcome to finish the performance.

Which brings me back here to CCC again: I'm looking to find 1 feminine voice to take over the role in its entirety.

For those of you unfamiliar with the premise: the Ace Attorney series follows the life and times of Phoenix Wright, a rookie defense lawyer, as he is introduced to a colorful cast of clients who need a legal champion to stand by them and exonerate them of crimes they did not commit. Wright must face off against the cunning, intelligent, and ruthless members of the prosecution, stand by the defendants in their darkest hour, and attempt to discover the truth behind each case that will set his clients free!

Requirements:

Since this is a paid project that I am funding out of my own pocket: a significant level of technical and performance quality is going to be expected. Please ensure that your microphone is capable of recording your performance without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping. Simultaneously this role is a larger than life character who tends to emote HEAVILY and as such will probably involve shouting and even a bit of hamming it up/overacting in some capacity at some time or another- so if you cannot commit to the needs of the given role please do not audition as I cannot expect to select someone who cannot give the performance required.

Payment:

Payments will be sent exclusively through PayPal only- if you do not have a PayPal account do not expect to be paid as part of this project.

Rates are as follows:

$60 for 105 lines which will be submitted after first revision and cutting of lines.

A few final notes:

1.) Only read what is inside the quotation marks, ignore the direction in parentheses. (You might be surprised as to why I need to clarify this instruction)

2.) PLEASE DO NOT SLATE YOUR AUDITIONS

3.) You may make submissions via email if you do not wish to use CCC. The same standards above apply, simply send your files and all pertinent information (name, preferred crediting name, contact information, etc) to BackwardRocketProductions (at) GMail (dot) com.
Be sure to label audition files as "YourName_ReginaBerry" (Ex: "RWEstep_ReginaBerry.wav")

Regina Berry is the young and completely naive animal tamer. The only existence she's known is the circus and even then it's been an incredibly sheltered existence as she doesn't understand the ramifications of death or severe injuries like that of the young comatose acrobat Sean "Bat" Dingling.

Regina should sound young, spunky, energetic, and perpetually amused. She lacks a real emotional depth or understanding of the events taking place around her and it makes her seem blissfully ignorant of the serious events unfolding around her until much later when she's made to understand the events that have transpired.

NOTE: Regina's canon age is usually listed as 16- I'm making a creative decision to have that upped to 19 for this iteration/presentation of her to step around some of the questionable things the story she's involved with usually tells.

  • (Wright and Maya just had a close encounter with one of her tigers. Chipper, positive- unaware of the fear such an event would have on everyday people) "Hah! He wasn't anywhere close to getting hurt, let alone dying! This little tiger hardly ever bites people. And besides, people normally never get to play with a wild tiger, right? So if you think about it, you're actually really lucky!"

  • (Firm, loud- she's giving commands to a tiger) "STAY! STAY! HEEL!"

  • (She's been made to understand the severity of the situation around her and her place in it- she no longer has the curtain of ignorance to protect her, crying loudly like a child) "WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! IT'S ALL MY FAULTTTTTT! WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"
