Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Fandub

Project Overview

I am putting together a Phoenix Wright series for YouTube and looking for voice actors. I will be starting with Ace Attorney and doing the other games in the future. You do not necessarily have to have played any of the games or be a fan but it would certainly be helpful to have a sense of each character's personality. 

Good mic quality is an absolute must. You don't have to own a super expensive microphone but your voice needs to be clear, free of background noise and at a decent volume level.

I have some ideas for the characters but I am open to your interpretation of how each character should sound. Feel free to audition for multiple characters and/or for the same character using different accents. I tried to include lines that show off different ranges of each of the characters. 

The main thing for me is the characters shouldn't sound monotone all the time. What makes these characters so memorable is how emotional and over the top they can get some times.

I am a fairly small let's player on YouTube so unfortunately I can not offer any payment but you will be fully credited for your time and talents in the video description as well as end credits of the video itself. I love Phoenix Wright and want to put together a project with others that really shows just how great this franchise is. Credit to court records for the photos and basics of the character descriptions. I added in my own notes on the characters as well but if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thank you for your time and considering this project. I look forward to hearing your audition.

Personality: Slimy. He can suck up a great deal, but in the end is a common thief and coward.

Personality: Ema is cheerful, optimistic, and friendly. She has a great interest in the sciences and hopes to become a forensic investigator someday. She greatly admires her older sister, though they don't get along as much lately.

Personality: Externally, Gant is usually cheerful and a strong leader of the police force, if not a bit eccentric. He calls most people by pet names, plays with his hair, and is prone to long, eerie pauses. Despite his oddities, however, he is a clever and calculating man who knows just how to get what he wants.

Personality: Larry is generally easy going and laid back, but shows his emotions easily. He's very trusting and a little flaky, which leads to him moving between women and part time jobs fairly regularly.

Personality: Will Powers is polite and well-mannered despite his looks, apologetic for everything and rather pessimistic.

Detective Dick Gumshoe is the only detective currently employed that Phoenix has any contact with. Though well meaning, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Personality: Gumshoe takes great pride in his work, and also in his "strong bond of trust" with the prosecutor's office. He's usually cheerful, is hardworking, and eager to please. But he also takes his job seriously, which causes conflict when he wants to help both sides of the case. Can sometimes be easily discouraged.

Personality: The Judge, though well meaning, is naive and very gullible. Not the brightest bulb.

A photographer trying to become a photo journalist, starting at the bottom - gossip magazines. A witness for PW and JFA case 4. Based on her dialogue it's hard to imagine Lotta with anything but a bit of southern twang in her voice.

Personality: Lotta is a loud mouth with a short temper, but is as excitable as she is generous. She makes friends easily and is always on the go. Class A type personality.

    Kinda hard to* remember which I seen when.

Personality: Miles Edgeworth began his career as a prosecutor at the young age of 20, and in the four years since has maintained a perfect record of guilty verdicts. Seen as a snob, his condescending nature and relentless prosecution (along with rumors of evidence and witness tampering) have earned h

Personality: On the surface April is cute, bubbly, and very flirty. She likes to tease and she knows how to get her way. When her luck runs out, however, she reveals her true (frightening) nature.

Heir to a prominent family of spiritualists, Maya is Phoenix's obligatory perky sidekick during all three games. I honestly see this as the toughest role just because while mostly upbeat, Maya does have some sad moments


Personality: Maya is optimistic, excitable, friendly, curious, and a fangirl for all things Steel Samurai. Like her sister she is tenacious to a fault, and very attached to "Nick" (her and her sister's name for Phoenix). Not always the brightest but loyal and outgoing.

Personality: Always cool under pressure, Mia Fey is smart, tenacious, a strict teacher and sometimes even coy. She has a great affection for her sister but is also very independent, and strives to uncover truth at all costs.

    Not everyone takes on a murder trial right off the bat like this.
