Project Overview


This project is an original series based on a comic series that I'm planning on making called Phantasmagoria. Phantasmagoria is about a small-town's high school trip to a hotel that has been around since the late 1700s. But things aren't quite as they seem there, and when our main character stumbles across some ghoulish behavior that has been plaguing the hotel since its construction, things get a little more interesting, and a little more deadly.

The intended final product will be about 7 short 'seasons' long, with up to 10 episodes  per season. The current casting call is only to get some initial voice actors. There will definitely be more characters incoming, but for now these are the only ones that I'm exploring, due to their currently 'completed' status. The project won't be completed anytime soon, due to still being in the planning phase, but it would be good to have some voice actors on standby.

I think since the project is still mostly in the planning phase right now, I think I'll have the fastest be 36 hours and the slowest at 72 hours.

Note: The trailer is NOT the final one; it was made for a project over 3 days.

    Wow! I'm glad that so many people auditioned (and I'm a little surprised, honestly.) However, it does have to be noted that since we're still so early in the planning phase at this point, and since I have so many other characters pending in the series, that this is only a sort of temporary test to see if anyone actually fit the roles so far. So far, I like what I'm hearing a lot! Again, though, this is only a temporary, so if I cast you for a role, I'm only putting you on standby until I can get the actual project up and off the ground. I hope you guys understand, and if I didn't choose you, it's nothing against you; you just didn't quite fit what I had in mind of the character!

Verity Cohen is a 17-year-old photography and history nut who attends Islesbury High School and is one of the visitors to the Phantasmagoria Hotel. She's shy and quiet, but actually has a nice sarcastic sense of humor and has a generally cheerful demeanor. You can do any accent you'd like. :)

Edit: Verity also has a calm, lower sort of voice that is about moderate range to low range.

  • Ooooh, let me take a picture of that.

  • You remember I said that nothing much was going to happen here? Yeah. I was wrong about that.

Gray is very quiet and seems emotionless, but they have a deadpan sense of humor to them. They are helpful and caring as well as patient. They have a very quiet voice-- take Mai from Avatar and the Last Airbender, give them a slightly more gender-neutral voice and a little more humor, and you've basically got Gray.

  • (Other person): Do you have an X-chromosome or a Y-chromosome?! Gray: I have a big scythe.

  • So... do we kiss now or what?

Jesse is a genderfluid (birth gender is female) individual who is sarcastic as all hell and awkward in social settings. They are quiet and shy until they deem you worthy of their presence; in which case they become a chatterbox and will talk your ear off. They don't have an accent, but they tend to use New York, Miami, San Diego, and Savannah slang when they speak due to moving around a lot.

  • Who the hell are you and why are you talking to me?

  • Gender is a b**ch.

  • Will there be cool paranormal activity? Yes? Then I'm in.

Zane is a warm, fairly cheerful individual who doesn't have the word 'subtlety' in his vocab. He's rather sarcastic at times, but always defaults back to affable and getting along with everyone. I imagine that he'd have a deep-ish voice.

The Obsidian Assassin is a VERY frightening person. He has a fairly deep voice and is blatantly sadistic at times. (He can also be a little overdramatic.) He is the definite villain of this series.
