What is this AU?
Alright, let me explain! The Adult Confidant AU is an AU where the adults in Persona 5 switch roles with the Phantom Thieves and vice-versa.
The original creator of the AU is scruffyturtles on tumblr and twitter! I hope that's a clear cut explanation. This is round one for comic dubs, many more roles will be added over the course of time!
Requirements:
I'll keep this brief.
1. A clear microphone for clear audio!
2. Being able to turn your lines in on time. Could be through email or through Discord!
3. You must be alright with cursing seeing how some if not most of these roles involve cursing.
4. EMOTION. LET IT ALL OUT. FLAUNT YOUR FLAIR FOR THE DYNAMIC AND SHOW OFF THAT SOUL OF REBELLION.
Caretaker of troublemaker Sojiro Sakura, She may be a bit older in this AU, but she's still the same Futaba underneath it all.

The wardens of the Velvet Room, though it sounds a bit odd, right? Considering they're normally called attendants... In this AU, however, the wardens are more mature than their canon counterparts!
Justine is more sadistic and takes charge, whereas Caroline is a lot more meek.
Please note that if you're casted for this role, you'll be voicing both wardens. Though this is also always subject to change,
( Justine - channel your sadism. ): ❝ Know your place, inmate! That’s right, under my heel.~ ❞
( Caroline, cowering behind Justine ): ❝ T-that’s right! G-go get ‘em, Justine! ❞
( Justine, with a slight huff and puff of her cheeks ): ❝ I guess that’s fine, inmate. Not like we’ve been waiting for you or anything. ❞
Sadayo Kawakami is a hardworker through and through! Not only does she serve as homeroom representative and as a teacher's aide, but she also has a part time job as a maid in Akihabara! Trying to balance out her life as a student as well as a maid is already difficult in and out of itself. However, what if fate were to throw one more thing down her way? How would she be able to deal with it?
( customer service-y voice. Extremely cheery, borderline obnoxious ): ❝ Welcome home, meowster! Why don’t you take a seat over here? ❞
( sighs, just absolutely exhausted. ) ❝ Oh, it’s just you… What do you want? ❞
( yawns, waking up after accidentally dozing off. ) ❝ H-huh? What time is it? ❞
The walking textbook definition of not judging a book by its cover. Munehisa Iwai is a good boy who just so happens to be the son of a Yakuza leader. It was thanks to the same man he helped with less than reputable deeds that he also was able to pursue his education for a brighter and cleaner future. However, all of that came crashing down thanks to a certain prince of volleyball who spread rumours of his shady past. So, of course Iwai is going to do what he does best: settle this kind of affair internally and discretely.
( disgruntled with a huff. ) ❝ You should be grateful. ❞
( chuckles softly, sounds cocky ). ❝ Well, that’s on a need to know basis, and you don’t need to know. ❞

Just a small country girl living in a lonely world; all jokes aside, Chihaya is a student from Kosei Academy who is known for her 100% accurate fortunes. Admittedly, no matter how grim or dire they may be, she can be quite sadistic and snarky about it. Overall? She's a sweet girl! She comes from the country side and thus her accent may slip every now and again. She tries her darnedest to make sure it doesn't slip out though.
( surprisingly cheerful with a pep in her step ). ❝ You’ve met with a terrible fate, haven’t you? Would you like to consult the cards?~ ❞
( downtrodden, worried ). ❝ Oh, dear… I’m sorry to tell you this but… Fate can’t be changed. It’s absolute. ❞
( a somewhat heavy southern accent, overly-excited, frustrated ): ❝ You plum gone, dad gum, done did it now! I told you, ya city-slickin’, gun toterin’, punk lookin’, sunnava biscuit. That ain’t very nice. ❞
Toranosuke is a student council president who will do whatever he can to make Shujin Academy a place for all students to feel welcomed. He'll fight tooth and nail to help people, but he does have a hubris that holds him back and makes him listen closely to all the things the student body he seeks to help spread around like wild fire.
( taken aback, slightly embarrassed. ) ❝ S-such behaviour is not welcome in a school environment! ❞
( down on his luck, a bit defeated. ) ❝ No matter how many years pass… I guess I am still no good Tora, huh? ❞
( confident, has found his resolve. ) ❝ What is it that you aspire to do? I will stand by you and support you no matter what because that is what I aspire to do. ❞
She has graduated from Shujin Academy a year ago, and now Tae Takemi is interning at a hospital whilst attending university. She may come off as somewhat aloof, but this doctor in training has a heart of gold. She wants to do more and has the feeling that she can do more. However, she can't exactly place her finger on the exact reason why she feels this way.
( slightly amused. ) ❝ Let me guess… You’ve been diagnosed with a horrible case of ligma? ❞
( irate ) ❝ Keep on talking, and we’ll use this thermometer the old fashioned way for a more accurate reading. ❞
( tired as all hell, extremely tired after a couple of all-nighters. ) ❝ A law student, huh? As a med student, you’ve my sympathy. Gotta wonder if all these sleepless nights are worth it. ❞
An aspiring journalist always in the search of a new story, Ohya Ichiko is in pursuit of two things: a juicy story and the truth. Of course, with her taking pride in her integrity as a journalist, she seeks to report the truth and nothing but the absolute truth. She is high energy and just a ball of pure, unbridled chaos.
( cheeky grin from ear to ear; pure gremlin energy. ). ❝ You call that a headline? More like a flatline, amirite?! ❞
( snickering, she had discovered a juicy story after all. ) ❝ This just in: Volleyball Star Player Kamoshida caught in a scandalous act. How delicious.~ ❞

Proud valedictorian of Shujin Academy and younger sister of the Chief Police Commissioner; Makoto Niijima. Sae Niijima is working towards being a prosecutor. She's a workaholic and despite her serious exterior, she has one heck of a guilty pleasure: the Featherman series. Despite her sister's reputation as well as her own, Sae may have small fits of loneliness due to the late nights her sister works.
( was told Featherman Silver was nearby. However, that wasn’t the case. Teetering on the verge of tears and blinding rage) ❝ You think my childhood is a joke?! You know what else is funny? Roadkill. ❞
( Deadly serious borderline lecturing. ) ❝ If you have time to complain, you have time to study. ❞

The Chief Police Commissioner in charge of the Phantom Thieves case, Makoto Niijima is a hard working woman who wants nothing but justice to be served. Although she does end up carrying her stress from work and Sae notices this. The existence of these supposed Phantom Thieves who can change the hearts of criminals the police have a hard time catching makes Makoto question her sense of justice.
( visibly frustrated, disgruntled due to developments at work. Lashes out. ) ❝ You are nothing but a leech on my life. Dad’s not around, quit parading his lofty sense of justice that got him killed in the first place. Grow up. ❞
( apologetic because Sae is the only family she has left. ) ❝ Sorry, Sae… I won’t be able to be home for awhile. ❞
( muttering to herself. ) ❝ Absolutely no one should be above the law… Not even the Phantom Thieves. ❞
Masayoshi Shido is a political science major who graduated from Kosei Academy at the top of his class, laying down the seeds to achieve his dream of being a politician capable of changing the world come true. He had a charisma that drew his classmates and the general public to him, oft admired for his sense of justice and selflessness. Young Shido seems like he wants to change the world for the better.
( Monologuing, full of himself. ) ❝ With the ability to make villains confess… I’m sure that you’d have liked that, right? Father? ❞
