Project Overview

NO SINGING SKILLS REQUIRED. TECHNICALLY.

I'm planning on doing a series of covers from the Parappa the Rapper franchise, specifically Parappa 1 and 2.

The game's songs aren't technically songs, but raps. So while you don't need to sing, you need to rap.

RULES:

1. Only audition if you're seriously committed to doing this.

2. You have to have a sense of rythem to the songs. I suggest listening to the Parappa 1 OST and Parappa 2 OST to see if you can pull it off.

3. You MUST include the songs in the background of the audition. It's really easy to find the instrumentals though.

The Kung Fu master, the Onion headed guy, the guy that says "kick punch it's all in the mind". He's in 2 songs, one in Parappa 1 and one in Parappa 2.


Stereotypical raspy Chinese accent will do, though I recommend looking up either Romantic Karate or Chop Chop Master Onion Rap on YouTube.

Even though both characters are 2 different ones, I want them to be the same voice.


They are related, one being a driver instructor, and the other being a boot camp instructor. They kinda have a middle aged spunky african american voice, so try doing that.

Even though theses are 2 characters with distinct voices, I'm deciding to have one VA do two voices.


One is Prince Fleaswallow, a Jamaican frog who runs a flea market. His montra is "All you ever need is to be nice and friendly." His rythem is very slow and methodical.

The other is Guru Ant, a small ant with a deep voice and a big ego. He helps Parappa "grow big" with a rap.

So you're going to need to voice a Jamaican voice and just a deep voice.

I hate this stage Cheap Cheap is a TV cooking show host that cooks food for cheap. She's a chicken voice that is obviously parodying people like Martha Stweart and Julia Child. 

Preferably try a British accent with her.
