Paper Midnight
Project Overview
Plot Summary
Paper Midnight is a grounded, slice-of-life Visual Novel exploring the cost of ambition.
It's a story about the moment you finally get everything you’ve worked for, only to realize what you have to sacrifice to keep it. As the protagonist prepares for a life-altering move, he must navigate the fragile, final days of a relationship that might not survive the distance. This is a project about intimacy, compromise, and the quiet heartbreak of a long goodbye.
The Job: Voice Pack (Barks)We are currently casting for the Core Gameplay Voice Pack. We are not recording the full script yet.
The Deliverable: A "Bark Pack" of c. 50 short files per character (e.g., laughs, sighs, short expressions and reactions, etc.).
The Rate: $50 USD Flat Rate (for the pack of c. 50 files).
The Content: The barks for this contract are SFW and grounded in reality.
Future Potential: These roles are intended to be Long-Term. If the pilot episode is successful, we intend to bring the cast back for further dialogue recording for the complete game.
Long-term roles will contain NSFW content, although exceptions can be considered and negotiated if necessary.
We are currently casting for Emma, one of the female leads. More roles - male and female - will be open in the future. Follow the page!
Acting DirectionTone: Conversational, Intimate, and Grounded. Please avoid "Anime Voice," over-projection, or cartoony exaggeration. This is a story about real people having real conversations in quiet rooms. We want to hear the hesitation, the breath, and the subtext.

Archetype: The Girl Next Door / The Anchor.
Personality: Warm, playful, and incredibly observant. She is the kind of partner who knows you are anxious before you do. Currently, she is walking a tightrope: trying to be purely happy for your success while her own heart is quietly breaking. She masks her fear with teasing and support, but the cracks are starting to show in the quiet moments.
Vocal Quality: Mid-Range. Natural, conversational, and "textured." Think Firewatch, not Genshin Impact.
The Vibe: A relaxed "West Coast" energy. She isn't high-strung or manic; she is grounded.
Key Instruction: We need intimacy, not projection. She should sound like she is sitting right next to you on a couch, whispering a joke in your ear, not performing for a back row. A real person, not anime waifu (despite her looks).
Audition Lines: Please record 1 take per line. No effects.

(A short, genuine chuckle. You are deflecting his concern.) "Heh, you worry too much."
(Warm and familiar. You are happy to see him, but keep it relaxed.) "Hey! You made it!"
(A long exhale - the mask slips for just a second.) (Sighs) "...Tokyo is really far."
