Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Dub-Emergency Casting
Project Overview
Hello, everyone!
This casting call is for the final episode of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Dub, a project where I, along with a cast of actors, dub through a playthrough of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door in episodes for my Youtube channel. Lines are given via recorded footage I post unlisted on Youtube and are to be submitted in mp3 or wav format. Once submitted, they're edited into the video footage by me and posted publicly. Some grace for deadlines can be given under the proper situations, but I'd rather NOT miss deadlines. If you audition, please make sure you can submit lines ASAP (like a week after I post the video max). I'm also more active over Skype and Discord than email, since those are my more preferred means of communication.
When it comes to the lines, I don't mind ad-libbing, but I'd like to hear adherence to the script.
Three roles have opened up for the final stretch of the dub, and I'm hosting a casting call for them.
Some notes about these auditions:
- If you want to apply effects to your auditions for one of the roles, I am not completely against it, but be warned that those effects will be taken into account when determining who gets the role.
- If you get the role, I will try and contact you privately. Please keep an eye out on your message box.
- If you have any questions, feel free to ask them; I don't bite.

Koops is somewhat timid Koopa that, due to the events of this adventure, has finally started growing out of his shell, becoming quite a man. He's still a bit reserved, though. He has a bit of a "soft-spoken" tone of voice and is medium-pitched. For more of a vocal context, here is a link to an episode where he appeared:

[About to Faint] Koopie...Koo...
Ummm... Mario... Thanks to you, I've found courage and inner strength. I don't know how to say this, but...I think I like myself more since I've known you... And I feel like I've grown closer to my dad. It's all so hard to put into words... Ummmmm...
An extravagantly beautiful Toad who seems to have her eye on Mario ever since Glitzville. I'd like a medium pitch for the lady, and of course a posh British accent is a must for the classy lady. For reference's sake, think of Rouge the Bat.
Well, hello there, you fine, fine specimen of a man, you. You're marvelous, dear. You solved a rather tough little mystery, didn't you? Yes, VERY well done.
[Concerned] I do hope they're all OK...
[Rooting] Mario, you lovely thing!
The demon that was sealed 1000 years past. Almost immediately upon returning to the land of the living, she possesses Princess Peach. I need a medium-low tone of voice for this body-snatcher.
[Coldly] You would do well to learn your proper place, slave. NO ONE commands me.
[Beyond Livid] GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Very cunning, Princess! But you will not undo me! Know me as your queen!
[Defeat, Disbelief, Desperate] Impossible... Unthinkable... How could I... I cannot be beaten by lesser beings such as these... And I had just been reborn into this world... I cannot... I must not...
