OVERPOWER SEASON 1 Trailer casting

Project Overview

DISCLAIMER: The video shown is an old trailer made 3 years ago, and was uploaded in Lunime's main YouTube account, "GachaTube". This is not my YouTube account.

THIS IS AN UNPAID PROJECT.

OVERPOWER is a Gacha club, stop-motion animated shonen series that focuses on a world that was shattered by the superhuman society in which heroism is nowhere to be found. This series is inspired by My Hero Academia, One Punch Man, and Jujutsu Kaisen.

Unlike most shows with a similar genre of heroism, Overpower is set in a post-apocalyptic world where heroes go into hiding as villains grow stronger. The reason for this sudden increase of strength is due to the loss of the world's former King of the Champions (Ranked 1 Hero), Infinite, and an unknown facility that started to steal, extract, and mutate powers from other people. (Spoiler: the main character works for that certain facility)

This casting call is currently for URGENT purposes. The trailer is scheduled to be released in the first week of July. With the number of supporting characters missing voice actors, this was made on short notice. Lastly, I will also be casting more voice actors (regardless of whether accepted through the role or not) since there will be TONS of characters that would be introduced later on the series. This is just for the trailer, so stay tuned for the general casting project!

  • Casting update

    Hello everyone! I would like to applaud you all for all of your amazing auditions. You all outdid yourselves!

    This announcement pertains to the change of the deadline and what to expect for those who will be cast or not in this CCC project. The deadline is extended until JUNE 21, 2025 (GMT+9). As for the casting concerns, those who will be given a role will head straight to recording the lines from the trailer.

    Though, some of you (those who won't be casted amongst the characters given here) will be given a role fitted for the ENTIRE series outside this specific casting call. It may be a main character, a supporting character, or a side character.

    Please be guided accordingly and stay tuned for more updates. Thank you for your participation!

Jeone Fritz (Known as Professor Fritz) is the former North division administrator and is currently the homeroom adviser of Class North-A. She is an overachieving woman with incredible strength. She's often depicted as a serious and strict character, but has a soft spot for her students. However, her overall character is the embodiment of a strong female inside and out, with a firm and leadership-like authority. 

She is one of the supporting characters in the series. However, she will play a major role in terms of the plot and series lore.

  • (Tries to contradict firmly, but is still in a respectful tone) How are we even sure that these kids will become heroes? We can’t depend on the world’s fate on them either.

  • (Furious) Don't you DARE lay a single finger on my students!

Jupiter is Jeone's younger sister. She is working for the ESI, which means she and Jeone are fighting against each other. They don't exactly have the best relationship since they've been separated since they were 10 years old. While Jeone got adopted by the Legion Hall, she was taken in by the ESI.

Her tone is similar to Jeone, she's straightforward, serious, and strong. But her character embodies fury and power, which makes her come off strong and intimidating. She will also be a supporting character with a major contribution towards the series' overall storyline.

  • (Furious, and disappointed) Shut up! You don't know how this pathetic little world treated me. You get to live your life like a fantasy while I have to rot here- to death!... So don't you dare, tell me what to feel!

Kuriyuko Hajime | Supporting Character

Kuriyuko Hajime is also known as the pro-hero "K". He is also currently the Rank 1 Hero, also known as the 1st Champion. His character resembles a Gojo-like attitude. He's childish and cunning for a 29-year-old man. This makes him the immediate favorite of his students. Though he will become serious if he needs to be. (He likes to laugh a lot)

He will also be a supporting character in the series.

Lloyd Genesis (Or just Genesis), is one of the leading officers in the ESI. He is depicted as an anxious and awkward character who loves to follow the General around. He is easily intimidated and fooled, but he is incredibly strong in terms of combat.

He is a supporting character in the series.

  • As of this afternoon, a sudden shutdown of power in the Tsuruki islands were observed. The authorities are conducting an investigation towards this matter.

  • With hero academies shutting down and villain attacks rising, experts are questioning if the age of heroes is truly coming to an end. This leaves a haunting scene in a world desperate for hope… the question remains- who will rise next to carry the light?

  • Breaking news, the 5th champion, Chainsaw- steps down from his position due to his powersphere depleting from an unknown cause.
