Oneirataxia: A Horror ARG/Unficiton Project
Project Overview
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for the channel Oneirataxia. A Horror Unfiction/ARG story revolving around a cult, a town, and an unfortunate series of events.
This project features strong topics such as death, disturbing Imagery, twisted morality, and Disfiguration. This project is 14+ for these reasons. This is a long term project. Also, not every video in the series will be voiced/drawn. When the VA’s are needed the script will be given a week before lines are due. The voice acted "episodes" will be in an audio drama format or a found footage format. This is multi media project which means blog post, diary entries and other websites will play a part in telling the story.
So what's an ARG? An ARG (Alternate Reality Game) is an interactive networked narrative that uses the real world and employs transmedia storytelling to deliver a story that may be altered by player's choices or actions.
The story is entirely fictional but it's based in realism, the characters should be fairly realistic and not embellished/exaggerated.
How will credit be attributed ?
There'll be a website(That plays along with the story) with the names of each character and their respective voice actor, along with the artist and writers who worked on the project. Once the game has run its course credits to every voice actor will be added to the description of all YouTube videos as well. (Everything here is negotiable, if you want your name to be attributed to the project in an extra/other way then I'll make sure it happens. )
Information For Auditioners
-You MUST have discord.
Voice Actors
-The most important part is to sound like a real person, be as natural and realistic as possible. Don't overreact and don't be overly dramatic or emotional unless the scene really asks for it.
-Looking for people who can do multiple voices, pitches, and accents. I'm trying to keep the cast fairly small to keep the obscurity of the project (People who use voice changers(not heavily) are included).
- You don't have to use the same exact words or phrases in the script. I encourage you to change certain vernacular if you feel like it sounds better.
Information For Artists
-Please provide samples of your work via Google Drive.
-Must be okay with drawing/editing bloody and gory depictions
-I'm looking for a disturbing yet cartoonish art style. Similar to a Manga/Comic style.
-For the frames that will be drawn, I will give you the scene concept with a sketch layout. This will be given to you a week before the due date.
Information For Script Editors
-I need at least 3 samples from you. (At Least one script example)
-If you use any grammar editing program, please note in it your audition.
-Must be okay with writing/reading disturbing or sensitive topics.
- Comfortable with Google Docs

Brooklynn is a 19 year old college student who had always struggled to find her sense of self. Since her brother is a popular R&B singer, she tends to be casted in his shadow. She moves away with her boyfriend, Rory Van-Dek, to attend Harper University, a prestigious college in Virginia. Any accent is find but it would be preferred if she has an English/British.
(Tired/ soft chuckle at the end): Uhm no, I was up all night studying. I know I shouldn't but I can't help it.
(Worried & Assuring/Very soften spoken): Rory please, just calm down. Nothing’s there, see? It’s just us.
(On the phone with her brother who has heard about the concerning news in the town. She tries to assure him without losing her temper. Frustrated tone): Yes of course- I understand but- Bruce We’re fine- Ugh! Can you just-.. listen to me?! Please.

The Baron
The Chief Officer at Spirit’s Valley’s Police Department. He often comes off indimniatiing. His voice is monotone, thick and commanding. All his career he’s been at the top and never less. He can never get enough of having control, and would go as far as to kill someone to keep it.
-Please note that later on in the series he will be playing a major role in the plot and will have a lot of monologues.
(Flat toned/Assertive): I see.. and the parents of this young man? (Picks up a photo of the kid in question.) I believe he was the first to go missing. Yes?
(Threatening/Stern): I suggest you don't poking your head in things you don't understand, kid.
(Slightly Tipsy/Cocky): You know, Sargent, as long as You’ve- We’ve been doing this job, in this god forsaken town. I never thought we’d encounter something like this. I guess you got your work cut out for you, Huh? (Low chuckle)
-Whatever Ominous/”Evil” Laugh or Cackle you can muster up.

The Practitioner is an odd character. He’s anything but human but his appearance says differently. His voice is flat and sarcastic, his voice is low but smooth. Any accent is great for him but something that would be nice would be an Slavic/easter European accent.
(Informative, slightly annoyed tone): I almost feel sorry for the poor mortal, the suffering they put him through for me to be here. The process was quite irritable on my end.
(Rushed speech as if he’s doing something while speaking/Flat tone): I told you not to call me that in front of others.
(Deflecting tone/sighs) I would entertain your idea but I have…patients..waiting on me. (Short chuckle before leaving): Please excuse me.

The Puppeteer is a “friend” of the practitioner. Their voice is bubbly and teasing. Often finding fun in messing with the proctor. Feminine or Masculine voices are good for this character since they don't particularly have a gender. As their name suggests they are a puppeteer, or in our terms a magician.
(Friendly/Welcoming tone): Oh how adorable! Hello darling, it's a pleasure to meet you!
(Slightly Annoyed/Cocky): Well you don't want me to call you by your name while your little friend is here, and I refuse to call you ‘The Practitioner’. Honestly honey, you don't give me many options.
(Serious/Frustrated: Listen, You’re not supposed to be here, and the fact that you are is not only dangerous for you, but dangerous for us. We are not your enemies here, Emmit is.

Role: Evangeline’s closest friend and classmate in journalism.
Description: Grounded, inquisitive, and fiercely loyal. Lena was one of the last people to see Evangeline before she vanished and is deeply haunted by the signs she may have missed. Her curiosity leads her down dangerous rabbit holes, and her pursuit of truth may make her the next target.
Evan King
Age: 23
Role: Dorian’s best friend from college.
Description: Charismatic and sarcastic, Evan is the emotional release valve in Dorian’s darkening world. But beneath his humor lies concern, especially after revealing disturbing messages Evangeline once sent him during a supposed blackout. He provides tech skills and comic relief but grows increasingly disturbed by the unnatural events surrounding them.

Description: A manipulative, ancient entity that feeds on fractured psyches, often masquerading as a comforting presence before fully possessing its victim. It manifests through sensory distortions and emotional trauma, whispering doubt and dread. Oneritxia seeks a perfect vessel — and Evangeline was marked long before she ever met Dorian.
