About the Project and Team
Nuts - a dark romance game, is an otome-style visual novel set in a fantasy setting.
The story follows Hazel (renameable), a humble hazelnut, who has been invited on the Woodland Forest Dating Show. As the main contestant, she can choose from 4 available, nutty suitors.
Wait, a hazelnut? Indeed, the main character is a hazelnut! Isn't that just nuts?
On a day like any other, a shift occurred! Woodland forest inhabitants have become sentient, and the traditional circle of life has been thrown off balance. Woodland animals (like owls and squirrels) and even nuts (like hazelnuts and chestnuts) can think, walk, and talk! The government created a network of biospheres to observe these new sentient, intelligent lifeforms and better understand this phenomenon.
My name is Lila, and I've previously worked on four visual novels, with this being my third Otome Jam. I’m passionate about strong female protagonists and the thrill of romancing male love interests.
Nuts started as a tree concept with branches for each nut character. After barking up a tree, cracking a few shells, a staring contest with an owl and chasing a squirrel, the entire story went bananas - I mean, nuts.
I'm excited to bring this story to life, along with a wonderful team of creatives.

The game is non-commercial, with a full release planned for Otome Jam 2023.

As this is non-commercial, this role will be unpaid.
Please include a silence take of 3 seconds to confirm no ambient sound and quality of your recording setup.
Please include all takes in one file, proceeding with a read-through of all lines before moving on to the next take (ABC-ABC-ABC). Maximum 3 takes, with no slating, please.
Voice Types/Accents are a suggestion and we are open to hearing different interpretations of the characters.
