PLEASE READ!! Stuckey is arguably the most important character I'll have casted so far, so I'll be taking my time casting him, including asking for additional readings if I like your first audition. Stuckey is the villain of the story. He's insane, eccentric, and driven to cause pain in people's lives. He has a vast range in emotion, so you'll need to be able to go from somber to frantic, from sad to angry, from laughing to yelling. Stuckey believes that there is no true meaning to life, and that it's his responsibility to give meaning to people by putting them through hell. He needs Charles' help with this, so this scene in Episode 3 should teeter on the edge of trying to be convincing to Charles and sometimes letting his insanity shine through. I don't quite know exactly what I'm looking for, so feel free to experiment within these guidelines.
I’ve met a lot of people in my life, Charles. Nobody is like that: nothing to drive them except the pain of others. (Laughs) I don’t even think the Wanderers are really like that. Maybe if these people would pluck one from the surface and open up its brain, they’d see something a little more complex than what we’re told.
Forget about them. Forget about who they are. They aren’t people, they’re things. Molecules with parts forged in stars, clumped together to survive, to eat, and breathe, and shit.
I see the things you see, Chucky, the things we were born to see. I know you, Charles Hill. I know who you are and what you want. I’ve been looking for you. (Laughs) I’ve been sniffing out your trail for years now and I’m nothing but fucking thrilled to have you sitting next to me.
Helen Grace is the mother of Emily Grace. She is an older woman, very kind, and very proper.
We both feel so comfortable knowing that you’re going to watch over Emily. We won’t feel as uneasy about her going down to the surface now that you’ll be by her side.
Salem District has so much potential. It could be such a beautiful city.
(Frantic) Emily, baby, we're coming! Don't look at them! We're coming for you!
George Grace is Emily Grace's father. An older man.
We're both so proud of you, Charlie.
(Frantic) Emily! (Pause) Help me open this thing!
(Frantic) Open the goddamn door, Aldus!
