“NOT the Red Leader”: Chapter one
Project Overview
This is auditions for the first chapter on my fan-made story “NOT the Red Leader”. The story takes place a good few years after The End where Tord is now the “Red Leader”, Edd and his friends are trying to stop him from taking over the world. This isn’t quite their future selfs nor is it right after the end, it’s in the middle of it.
I will need a few people who can pull off a British accent and somebody who can pull off an Norwegian accent for this. There may be some singing bits here and there for the main characters, but please do not fret if you cannot sing that well, that is something that I am looking for with this. Your gender doesn’t have to correspond with the role you’re trying out for, although it is preferred. Yes, you may try out for multiple roles as long as you audition for one main/supporting role and one minor/extra role ONLY. No more than two.
No, I will not be paying, I am a student in high school with no job yet.

Edd is a gloomy yet hopeful man. Most of the time he means business but that doesn’t mean he still can’t be a little bit of a dork. He’s the leader in this and wants to start a rebellion to stop Tord before he goes through with his evil plan.
“Finally, after many years I return. Now it’s time to- Wait.. That WAS an insult!” (Serious tone all the way through. At, “Wait. That WAS an insult!” act a little offended.)
“I’ll find a way to see Tord again.
NOT the Red Leader.” (Act as if you are telling a story or as if you were in a movie trailer. Make it dramatic.)

If you don’t know any of these musicals (or even If you do and you want extra brownie points), use your own imagination and creativity to think of something that Future Edd would sing.
This is the singing audition for Edd. Be as silly and dorky as possible.
Please note that he (Edd) will be singing without music, you may us a karaoke track for your audition but you will be singing acappella if you do happen to get the role.
Tord is a slightly insane, villainous overlord, who wishes to take over the world. He feels very passionately about his ideas and his plans, and as a large authority figure, anyone who gets in his way should be punished. While he does have a small soft spot for his friends, its very hard to hit that spot, as Tord is extremely closed off.
(Note!: This is the Norwegian/British character. Don’t be scared away by the accent, just try your best. If you do get the role, we can work on the accent together.)
“Hello, old friend..” (Tone should be menacing.)
"Face it, you have lost.” (Again, tone should menacing, evil.)
Act like you are singing the song quietly to yourself. Please note that Tord will be singing with music, you may use a karaoke track for your audition but you may be singing acappella if you do happen to get the role
Matt, who once had the intelligence of a kitchen shelf and an ego bigger than mars, has become a little more aware and sophisticated. He cares less about his looks and more about survival and looking out for his friends who has become his family.
“Not the face!” (Frightful. Act like you are in a fight and the only thing you have going for you is your face, you wouldn’t want that pretty face of yours to be ruined, would you?)
“I feel... beautiful again.” (Tone should be hopeful. Your self-confidence has just been at rock bottom for awhile, but today, you feel like you look really good.)
You will be singing for Matt. Sing or hum the song that you think would best fit Matt quietly to yourself; act as if you’re taking a nice stroll through a peaceful place like a flower garden or perhaps you could be doing the dishes.
Tom is a protective man, but he loses hope very easily. He finds himself depressed with the way the world is and it sometimes makes him a little sensitive, but you best believe he'd do anything for Edd and Matt, as they are his only friends. Tord absolutely disgusts him, Tom hates the tyrant and everything he does to the world and its people. You never really appreciate things until they're gone.
“Holy lonely pony eating macaroni!” (Surprised. Speak it fast.)
“Please, just let me see him!” (Desperate tone. You really want to comfort your friend who just got tortured before your very.)
You will be singing for Tom. Sing or hum the song that you think would best fit Tom quietly to yourself; act as if you’re taking a nice stroll through a peaceful place like a flower garden or perhaps you could be doing the dishes.
Alex is the cowardly secretary that Tord (stole) took for his own, and now bullies with orders constantly. Alex is constantly being monitored, as he is running Tord’s things constantly, and Tord likes to have his things a certain way. He is loyal out of pure fear of losing his ‘Job’.
“Sir, I found another one.” (Respectful, fearful. Act like you are addressing the leader himself)
“Y-Yes, sir!” (Very fearful. You’re hurriedly trying to do something for your leader.)
“Sir, please, we’re trying our best.” (Desperately trying to explain something. The leader is very angry with you.)
Guards working for Tord, the Red Leader.
“Hey, look! Over there!” (Shouting from afar very aggressively.)
“Get them!” (Commanding, shouting is still very aggressive.)
“Here. Take him to the Red Leader.” (Calm, quick, commanding, and yet still mildly aggressive.)
