Project Overview
NickToons: Animal Frenzy is a passionate, volunteer fan-based crossover animatic series that brings together beloved characters from classic Nickelodeon shows like CatDog, Rocko's Modern Life, The Angry Beavers, and more. Set in the quirky, chaotic town of Wayoutta-O-Burg, the series follows the misadventures of CatDog, Rocko, Daggett, and Norbert as they navigate everyday life with their friends and foes—think wild scams, monster mishaps, and heartfelt moments amid the frenzy.
This isn't just another fan project; it's a love letter to the golden age of NickToons, blending slapstick humor, over-the-top antics, and the spirit of friendship that made these shows iconic. Episodes explore themes like redemption, bravery, and the absurdity of life, all while staying true to the characters' personalities—Daggett's chaotic energy and schemes, Dog's enthusiasm and silliness, Cat's sarcasm and greediness, Rocko's everyman charm, and Norbert's cool-headed vibe. The series is also rated TV-14 to be aimed for a more older audience who grew up with these characters in the 90s/Early 2000s

With animatics that capture the raw energy of the originals, we're aiming to bring Wayoutta-O-Burg to life and remind fans why we fell in love with these characters in the first place.

This is volunteer work (our family’s pretty poor, so we can’t offer pay right now), but it’s a chance to create something special, collaborate with fellow fans, and leave your mark on a tribute to NickToons history.

The writing for this series needs to be humorous and comedic, just like the writing for the original series was. The genres this series is are slapstick, surreal humor, dark humor, satire and comedy/drama. With these genres being listed, the writing for the series must be made with these genres in mind.
As a writer, you are required to write episodes that are 11 minutes long (or longer in some episodes), as usual for the OG shows on top of that, you'll need to understand the personalities of the characters and have an BIG understanding how the Original Shows worked. (ex. clever ideas, moral lessons, etc.)

After the script's finished, the episodes will move on into storyboarding, there's not that many storyboards at the moment and we really need to recruit more storyboarders for our project.
