My Hero Academia Comic Dub - Nice Kacchan AU

Project Overview

After getting underway with my 3 Little Princesses Comic Dub, I'm ready to prepare for my next project! This time, I chose a My Hero Academia comic titled "Nice Kacchan." The premise of this comic is that Kacchan looses his memories after a run in with villains. As a result, his classmates must help him until his memories return.

CURSING WARNING: Swear words are used in this comic, mainly by Kacchan. If you are not comfortable swearing or being in a projected that has swearing, I would not recommend auditioning.


Guidelines




  1. Good mic quality – Minimal background noise required. I’m not looking for audio perfection, but a clear mic will increase your chances of being cast.


  2. Follow Deadlines – This project will be release in several sections, but I plan to have each section uploaded once a week. Staying on top of lines will help the project run much smoother.


  3. Acting Quality – I’d rather have a person give their all into a voice then have them mimic the character. A lot of aggressive emotions are needed for this comic (especially for the main characters) so I want to hear that you can handle it.


  4. Email – if you are cast, I will send you a message through CCC to get your email. This will be our primary form of contact. If there is an issue where you absolutely can’t use an email, we will discuss at a later date.

Feel free to audition for as many roles as you'd like. I'm not against casting a person into multiple roles, especially since there are quite a few minor characters in this comic.


I will be providing scripts for each section as well as links to the comic. I’ll also leave a link to the comic at the end of this description so you can check it out for yourself!

  • Casting This Weekend & Extra Week for Minor Roles

    Hello all! First off, thank you so much for all of the auditions I've received so far! I've been blown away by some of the talent I've been hearing; I can already tell I have some tough decisions to make! That being said, I've decided to push the deadline for this project by one week for two reasons. One being I would like more people to have the opportunity to audition for some of the minor roles listed. Another reason being I wound up spilling coffee all over my laptop last week and am waiting for it to be fixed. I won't be able to edit until I get my laptop back, so I figured extending the deadline would work in everyone's favor. I will be casting a few people this weekend for part 1 of the dub. If you aren't cast, please don't be discouraged. From the little I've listened to already, you are all so talented, and this is going to be a hard decision! Thank you for sticking with this project, and I look forward to working with some of you!

As you can tell by the title of this comic, Bakugou is the main character. While typical Bakugou appears for a bit in this comic (yelling, swearing, throwing fits, etc.) he is actually very reserved for a good chunk of time. I'll need you to be able to sound scared, sad, and genuinely happy while still being able to shred your vocal chords with yelling. (Please don't actually destroy your vocal chords.)

Kirishima is what I call the lovable frat boy. He's fun, energetic, and all over the place, yet he has a good heart. While he may not always take the right actions or understand what he's doing wrong, he always has the best intentions.

Midoriya is a nerdy boy with a heart of gold. If you've seen the anime, then Midoriya acts exactly as you would expect in this comic. He's overthinking and making choices he feels will have the best possible outcome.

Uraraka is similar to Midoriya in the sense that she wants things to work out for the better. She's a bit sarcastic toward Bakugo in this comic, but she seems to understand where he's coming from, both when he does and doesn't have his memory.

The miserable teacher we all know and love. Eraserhead always sounds uninterested...even if one of his students is freaking out over losing his memories. Eraserhead is mainly used at the beginning of the comic to set up the story, then occasionally pops in with a line or two.
