Project Overview

Update: I meant for the last date to be September 1st, not for the project to disappear right when Sept 1st starts, so I had to change the deadline to Sept 2nd. CCC is very weird!

YouTube Idol was a singing competition that lasted for 5 seasons. Now it's getting a spinoff!

Next Top Singer 2019 will be hosted on SoundCloud. Other than that, it is pretty much the same as Youtube Idol. You will be judged by 3 judges (and the occasional guest judges). It starts with Auditions, where the judges will comment and vote on the auditions. Then in the Qualifying stage, the accepted contestants will be narrowed down to between 8-14 contestants who compete in the Final Stage. There they will sing in different themes in each episode, even one group theme, and get honest feedback and constructive criticism from the judges. One or several singers will be eliminated in each episode until we know who is the Next Top Singer 2019.

The winner gets $100 through Paypal.

I put ageless because I don't mind the age except I need you to sound adult. This is the one who presents everything, so it needs to be an awesome voice. ;)

Please keep in mind this is not a comedy show. I encourage you to put your own personality into the lines since it's more presenting than voice acting per say, but this sets the tone of the entire show.

Not voice acting but I couldn't find an appropriate category. We need guest judges, and if a regular judge is unable to continue, a new regular judge will be needed. Please follow all the instructions here or you will not be considered. Both the introduction and the actual judging are needed, because I pick judges based on both personality and knowledge.

Not necessarily a singer, but all mentors so far have been singers.

Help the main cast by e.g. exchanging ideas and give them pointers, advice and criticism throughout the competition. They can ask you for help or let you hear their entry before they send it to the judges. In other words, do what a mentor does. :) You will ofc be credited in the episodes, and maybe get a chance to do an interview once, telling about your experience with them. Other than that, there will not be much participation IN the episodes, it's mostly behind the scenes.

I will pick mentors based on both personality and knowledge. I will probably be much more confident about your abilities if you audition as a judge as well, since a good mentor is also a good judge! If you want to show that ability but are not interested in being a judge, you can do the judge audition but post it here.
