Project Overview
Introduction
Voice and Cans, or New Lovac as it's commonly referred to as, is a voice acting group founded in 2012 and dedicated to dubbing comics, voice acting animations and being general internet personalities. We've recently been itching to interact with the VA community more, so this casting call is to feature new voice talent for future comic dubs. Auditioning
We ask that any auditions be as high quality as your recording environment will allow. We pride ourselves on our general voice over quality and would appreciate hearing good quality auditions. This casting call will be open for the rest of the month, so please take as much time as you need to make your audition shine!
While multiple takes are not required for each line, feel free to submit multiple takes within one audition. Taking 3-5 takes of each line will help to show off different deliveries and intonations we may not have been able to hear with just one take, so please feel free to show off whatever takes you feel comfortable with.
Receiving the Role
Once the casting call is up, we will contact the VAs we casted and discuss the best method of outside communication. (Whether it's E-mail, Discord, Skype or any other form of contact.) We will then contact that voice actor/actress via that form of communication and inform them of what voice lines we will need for the comics.
We will also ask if they have a preferred social media they would like to have credited in the comic dub, along with an avatar or picture they'd like to use for that credit. [You can see what this would look like at the end of any of our comic dub videos.] We ask that you keep this in mind and have these prepared in the case that you receive the role you audition for.
Keep in mind, we may also contact you in the future for more roles similar to the ones you've auditioned for, so let us know if you'd be up for lending your voice to a couple of other comic dubs! Also please note that even though this audition is only for two characters at the moment, it's very likely that we will have more casting calls or possibly even edit this one if any more roles open up in the future so don't be discouraged!

Clock's Ticking
With the final hours looming down, I've started to look through and compile the auditions for the other managers to listen to. This way we'll be able to respond with results as soon as possible once the clock turns over. Once the cast is set, we will contact the casted voice actresses directly to discuss their preferred form of communication. However, this casting call is still open and will remain open until 11:59pm CST. At that time we will close the auditions and review any and all last minute auditions before making our decision. Last Week!
With April just around the corner, this casting call is about to reach it's end. I would like to take this time and thank everyone who has auditioned so far! You're all talented voice actresses with very well done auditions and I can't wait until the end of the week to start reviewing them and casting roles. That said, there is still one week until we start casting. Meaning any auditions up until the 31st are accepted! So we'll be keeping an eye out for upcoming auditions. If you wanted to audition for any of these roles and haven't done so yet, now is the time! Thank you for your time! Marina is an Octoling and half of Off the Hook, a musical duo who run the news segment in Splatoon 2. We ask that you look into some voice samples or even Off the Hook songs to get a good feel on her voice. Please note that while she is a singer, we will not require any singing lines so definitely focus on finding a voice that matches the character. We're open to any interpretations of her voice, however our recommendation is a gentler voice that contrasts her partner, Pearl's voice.

Xynthia
Sombra is a playable character in the 2016 game of the year: Overwatch. She's aligned with the evil organization known as "Talon" however she's much more of an independent variable. Her audition lines were taken from her origin trailer, the Overwatch short "Infiltration" and the Overwatch comic "Searching." We ask that you look into these videos to get a good feel on her voice. For Sombra we ask that you do your best to imitate Carolina Ravassa's performance.
